    For anyone wondering about the difference between a taotaomona' and a regular spirit/ghost is that the taotaomona are our ancestors before the arrival of the Spanish. Supposedly, (at least to what I was taught as a kid growing up on Guam) the taotaomona are the unbaptized souls of the ancient Chamoru burdened or in my opinion gifted with, the task of protecting the land they lived on. I also don't believe their lack of baptism has to do with them being linked to the land itself. Their lives just revolved around being intertwined with Guahan that in death their spirits could not bear to leave their home. Often times Taotaomona inhabit ancient Chamoru village sites/burial grounds where great numbers of Ancient Chamorus would gather. It's said that the Taotaomona fishermen spirits travel from dusk til dawn from the jungles center to the shores and that's when most taotaomona are active. There are different types of taotaomona that protect different places. One I can remember specifically is the headless one that guards the modern cemeteries. You're supposed to whistle to let him/it know you're passing through. It's very much based on respect and honoring your history. Before using the bathroom out in nature you're supposed to ask for permission first, "Guela yan Guelu, dispenya yu" (Grandmother and grandfather, escuse me/pardon my intrusion) ALL Native People everywhere have respect for the energy of their ancestors. Keep the taotaomona alive! Biba Chamoru!

      Our ancestors would ask for the guidance of their aniti, to help them overcome a problem. They also used to tell stories of their ancestors and host mini genealogy contests to see who remembers their distant families. But nowadays, they're probably angry that we aren't telling stories of them like they had been doing for thousands of years with their ancestors, and that we don't need them for guidance in the modern age

    We were leaving Guam, as my family of 4 (mom,step-dad, lil bro, & myself) sat in the gate area awaiting our boarding time. Across from us was my grandmother (sitting in the chair) there was a glow about her - I knew it was her deep inside, But was afraid to go to her. I didn't mention it to my mother till i was about 16, and upon hearing the story she acknowledged that she saw her as well. I was taken aback but in awe.

      Rich E Rich There are spirits everywhere,whether they are taotaomonas or not.They are demons and they can work miracles so that people will believe that they are their ancestors.These demons were cast out from Heaven with Lucifer who is now called Satan.You can find that in the bible in the book of Revelation.Our dead love ones are just resting in the grave waiting for the coming of Jesus.They just ceases to exist.When Jesus comes,the righteous will rise and they will be caught up together with the righteous living to meet the Lord in the air.The wicked dead will not rise untill the second death after the millenium when the holy city of God descends.

      Raven the goddess of woke.Don't play with Satan.He will kill you if you allow him to
      The bible says he came to.steal,kill and destroy.Jesus came so we will have life more abundantly.Be safe with Jesus because God loves you more than you think.

    • @josmaryelidok3387
      @josmaryelidok3387 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Raven The Goddess of Woke And Da Heauxs Iam not going to read anything that suggest that Satan is God.Yes he wants to be God,but that will never happen,because he is a loser.Get yourself a bible and read and educate yourself.Watch Pastor Doug Batchelor on demons..and familiar spirits..I will pray for you so that you will not be a slave to Satan.Satan is very tricky.I suggest you stay far away from him and witchcrafts.Its dangerous.Do not play with Satan.He will lead you to everlasting destruction.Be on the winning side with Jesus.Jesus already won.He already defeated Satan by dying on the cross of calvary to redeem us back to him.

      Thats right.Your ancestors are not monsters.The bible says when we die our spirit goes back to God,the life giver.Our body will go back to dust because thats how we were made.God formed The first human being out of the ground.Ecclisiastes 9;1-6.A Common destiny for all.So I reflected on all this and concluded that the righteous and the wise and what they do are in God's hands,but no man knows whether love or hate awaits him.All share a common destiny-the righteous and the wicked,the good and the bad,the clean and the unclean,those who offer sacrifice and those who do not.As it is with good man,so with the sinner,as it is with those who take oaths,so with those who are afraid to take them.This is the evil in everything that happens under the sun:The same destiny overtakes all.The hearts of men moreover are full of evil and there is madness in their hearts while they live, and afterwards they join the dead.Anyone who os among the living has hope-even a live dog is better than a dead lion.FOR THE LIVING KNOW THAT THEY WILL DIE,BUT THE DEAD KNOW NOTHING;THEY HAVE NO FURTHER REWARD,AND EVEN THE MEMORY OF THEM IS FORGOTTEN.THEIR LOVE THEIR HATE, AND THEIR JEALOUSY HAVE LONV SINCE VANISHED;NEVER AGAIN WILL THEY HAVE A PART IN ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS UNDER THE SUN.

      Whether they are taotaimonas or not,they are still evil spirits.They are not your ancestors.Read Revelation and you will find out that these are demons who were cast out with Lucifer who is now called Satan.They can transform themselves into your ancestors.The bible is so clear.The dead know nothing.They dont walk around like spirits.They just ceases to exist.They wait in their grave until Jesus comes.They dont take revenge..they dont comeback to their house to visit their love ones.

    Don't mean to disrespect anyone but I think you all deserve to know the truth about all these spirits.The bible says that when we die our spirit goes back to him who is the life giver.Our body which came from dust will go back into the ground.Our body will stay underground untill Jesus comes.Those who died in Christ will rise when Jesus comes.These saints will be the ones who goes to Heaven with Jesus.Those who do not rise will wait for the second ressurection when all the wicked will rise,and these are the people who are lost forever.

      Jesus is the only way.He is the truth and the life,no man can go the father accept through him.What you are doing is abominable to God.The bible says we are not to practice witchcraft.,because it is of the devil.It maybe your culture but just think of what your future will be like.There is no life outside of God.Everything else leads to dead.

      Yeah...Jesus is the only way... Sounds really accepting. Stop pushing your beliefs on people, preaching through fear is pretty sad. Just lead by whatever example you're trying to set and stp trying to force feed people your bland religious cereal.

      Jordan Santos it is not just my beliefs.There are alot of people who believe this.Its not about fear.Its about the good news of Jesus Christ.When we choose to believe anythinh other than God,we are worshipping other Gods and quess who claims to be God also"Satan"..He came to steal,kill,and destroy.He is called God's enemy.When we choose to follow him,we are his slaves.Satan is very cruel.

      @@jordans.4957 I try to be mindful of all religions, but sometimes things like this sound really, REALLY close to downright cult-like behavior

      Liz Baulos I nearly grabbed one and tried to strangle it, but it cursed me before it left.. I don’t respect demons.. trust me they’re demon spirits.. I tried figuring out for years what showed up to me.. and in my studies, they’re demons..

    This is paganism. Next thing we know you will start offering sacrifices to appease these evil spirits. C'mon, you can't be friends with God while you're holding the devil's hand.

      Please, the Spanish spread catholcism through rape and pillage of the ancient Chamoru. People can believe what they want, being a good human being has nothing to do with religion. Your fear of not believing in the Bible's version of God is generations of brainwashing. Christianity is just as dirty as any another religion/paganist. Don't toot your own horn.
