- You wanted it and we brought it. The Breeders' Cup Classic by the Thorograph Numbers and Patterns. Yes it is early but the numbers and patterns don't lie. We saw it all through the Triple Crown and even through the Pacific Classic.
On this show Jonathan Stettin goes over the Thorograph Numbers and patterns as he sees them and we all know he sees them as good as anyone in the game.
Get your head start right here right now and check out this show. Let us know what you think and if there is anything else you want to see before the big dance at Santa Anita. We can't promise we will do everything but if you don't ask we won't know. We have a ton of stuff planned for you that you just won't see or hear anywhere but Past the Wire and @PastTheWireTV
Here is the link to our Breeders' Cup Seminar and you definitely son't want to miss that:

Damn good analysis, keep up the good work.
thanks, great show
Thank You!
Great analysis of our best racing day .. look foward to the seminar
Jon: Have wanted to text you since you helped me try to navigate the Derby seminar. I failed, but you helped as best you could. Really appreciate your actually texting me (I’m a nobody and was stunned that you bothered helping me.)
You’re a class act; if you were a Thoroughbred, you’d be running in Grade I races. Thanks again, and best of good fortune.
Grazie my friend. You got one thing very wrong here. You are NOT a nobody. Not no way, not no how. Reach out anytime.
Class Act
Very clear and interesting I took notes
Under pressure lol
Really enjoying your shows and plan to continue to learn from you!
Grazie Douglas, appreciate that. Any questions ask anytime.

Nice job here sir. I have never used these TG #s, but this was eye opening.
Grazie!
Thanks again John . I thought that was a real good race but negative 6 wow and made it look easy down the stretch
John great show as always you are like a offensive lineman a great one everybody over looks you because you bring it every time it amazes me you only have 4thousand followers it should be 25 thousand plus . I hope all is well and I will be on the train with you for the classic and for everybody who is Catholic get to a Traditional Latin mass for All Souls Day coming up for all our family members that might be in purgatory remember there is no salvation outside Jesus Christ Holy Catholic Church God Bless You John and all your followers.
God Bless You and Yours John. I truly appreciate the kind words.
Thank you sir always always appreciated it man! Can’t wait for Breeders’ cup seminar thank you sir stay blessed 🙏🏾💯 hope you haven’t forget about teaching the thorograph numbers don’t know what the hell im reading
Didn't forget and thank you
@@PastTheWireTV 🙏🏾💯
agree he knows those #'s but i think because of lay-offs & 3yo vs older work-outs will be so important & i can't tell so will leave that to trackside pros. like when MAGE looked poor & underweight before his last race had him no better then 3rd but arcangelo was looking great used him under so lost.
guy is real...............love it
Grazie
Great content as always. White Abarrio was the horse I was most interested in betting this far out, feel great about my opinion after watching. Really hoping you have the time to do a by the numbers show on the distaff! Will be one of best races all BC imo, for both the fans and the gamblers. I'm still in love with Clairerre, so we'll see where she can take me, but I need your pro opinion. Much love, good luck and happy capping to all
Grazie Nancy! Likewise!
A 42:26 ¡¡!++
How about numbers on the dirt mile
Amazing pre race analysis Jonathan.
Kudos to you and I look forward to your future seminar.
As soon as my long time buddy Ian said you were close friends I knew I had to check out PTW.👌
Are Practical Move & Clapton out?
Thank you. I am not sure yet. I ordered the list of the contenders I thought were going, I definitely may have missed a few.
Jon, i thought the seminar was free to veterans? I would love an invite.
It is, follow the instructions in the link.
Would really love thorograph video on the BC juvenile or turf race
I'll try
Hello, have you taken a look at Ushba Tesoro?
Yes, I can't get to him at all
Many believe the likely winner will emerge from the 3YO ranks. What times have the 3YOs recorded over 10F?
Arabian Knight - Pacific Classic - 2:03.19
Go Rocket Ride - Pacific Classic - 2:03.19 (2nd by NK)
Arcangelo -Travers -2:02.23
Mage - Kentucky Derby - 2:01.57
The KY winner has the best 10F time for the division, but he seems to have lost his way. I am not even sure he is being directed to the BCC. The next closest to 2:01 is Arcangelo.
The most recent 3YO that won the BCC recorded much faster 10F times than the above:
Authentic - Kentucky Derby - 2:00.61
Arrogate - Travers - 1:59.36
American Pharoah - Travers 2:01.57 (2nd by 3/4L)
Interesting point
Interesting but times do not always tell the story, as you know. I will be singling Arcangelo in a $1 pk 5 and then using a couple of prices on .50 pk 4's
@@vambo13257 I wouldn't single a colt whose Belmont winning time was the 13th best in the last 20 renewals at 12F. Consider the following:
Since the start of the Breeder Cup Championship. Only one winner of the Peter Pan has won the BCC i.e., A P Indy. He won the 1turn 9F Peter Pan in 1:47.40. His winning time represents the 4th fastest since 1986.
Global Campaign won the Peter Pan in what appears to be the second fastest time for the stakes i.e.,1:46.71. He was only able to finish 3rd in the BCC.
Arcangelo won the Pete Pna in 1:49.71. Since 1986, the Peter Pan has been won 32 times faster. Archangelo' stakes victories have been recorded modest times.
Peter Pan -1:49.71
Belmont - 2:29.23
Traves 2:02.23
Arcangelo's sire Arrogate won the Traver in1:59.35. it took him the entire stretch of the BCC to get by California Chrome.
American Pharaoh finished 2nd by 3/4L in his Travers won in 2:01.57
NB: What's the prospect of a sire and his son winning the Travers and BCC in consecutive starts? Remote at best.
why? you'd be betting against yourself. You can't overcome that in the long run. @@vambo13257
Hey John, have you heard anything about Idiomatic. I kind of get the feeling she’s not gonna be running at Breeders Cup
I haven't heard that, not yet anyway.
Oh ok. Thank you. I was checking the workouts on Equibase and I hadn’t seen any recent workouts for her.
For those of us who have signed up for the BC Seminar and will be at the Breeders Cup is that something we can attend in person?
The races lol, but definitely say hello....
Neg6 is rarified air. Only a handful of horses ever have. If Dutrow can get him to sing that tune again, I agree they’re running for second. Understandable love affair aside, is he also a bounce candidate on TG patterns?
I don't think so as he has had enough time, that said he can bounce 4 points and win. I think they packed up and went West after he cooled out.
Jon what’s the best way to ask you a Question about the Thorograph numbers?
email through the website
If Derma's odds are right, I'm betting him to HTB. The reason is Japan has a much cooler climate in the summer and long brutal winters. I believe he didnt run well during the summer here because he just wasn't used to the heat. It'll be a much cooler climate by the time they run in the Breeders Cup and he's liable to fire one off and run big if the temp is cooler.
Besides Weather Why do You Think He is Better Than This Classic Field?...What are You Basing it on Exactly?
@@jackwoods9604 UAE derby.
@@jackwoods9604 And let me make this clear, I dont think he'll win, I'm betting him to HTB because I believe his odds will be over 15-1. The horse always tries hard. He has a really good habit of hitting the board in cooler temps.
@@jackwoods9604 In a cooler climate, he hasn't failed to hit the board or win in his other races. He ran 6th in the Kentucky Derby when it was 15 degrees hotter than he was acclimated for. I just think he's a better horse than he what he showed us in 90+ degree summer heat. Good enough to HTB I mean.
@@truthxposed8975 Guess You Prefer Him Over Ushba? (If Ushba is Going)
Solid show. Interesting to compare these to Ragz and then compare them with the proverbial eye test. I didn’t hear you go over USHBA TESORO… does he have any numbers for his runs this year?
I had no figures for him, sorry. I may do an update when pre entries come out.
Is Mostahdaf coming? Why not him?
I think he's coming, dangerous for sure
I play the patterns of speed figures. I got my own system. I can't tell anybody what it is. Thanks.
What happened 2 the other Japanese horse. U needed mentioned.
Not on my list....I will have to look them up, went off BC site.
bet the gray in the turf classic 1.5 miles
Great Job John
Grazie
I was really exited about looking at horses training program or something like a top five from You, but I had to admit I became dissapointed cause You just use maybe..maybe..maybe mani times and didn't clear up my doubts. Thanks anyway.

Thanks for your expertise I left a message with no reply. 2019 Kentucky derby I had a $100. Straight cold exact. Maximum security 😎 👌 with country house .Do you think Maximum security 🤔 should have been disqualified? And second question. How much do you I would have made 9 to 2 too a 65 to 1?
I didn't think at the time he should have been taken down. Sorry for no reply, didn't see it. Heck on Derby Day who knows, a lot. Probably better off not knowing lol.
Why wouldn't you box them especially because the other way pays so much more. If you got the derby down to 2 horses and ones 62-1 wheel box ex tri super shit even high 5. That's a tuft ass pill to swallow and the worst call in racing period.
Boxing is a losing proposition long ter, explained maany times on different shows on the channel and articles on the website. can't win in the long run boxing horses. @@caseG80
Great show Jonathan 👏.
Thanks for all you do to educate the racing fans out here.
I think rick dutrow is going to have the last laugh when white abario wins the classic!!!
Thanks Steve, could very well be
Thanks Jon .
Thank you
Arabian Lion retired. You said there were gonna be defections. First Forte, now him.
Wrong Arabian.
23/45/110 (Gulf)...24/49/113 (Bel)...23/47/112 (Bel)...23/48/111 (Sar)....These are Basic Fractions From Archangelos 4 Wins....Should He Get a Faster Pace at SA in Classic?
I would think so with the exception of the Gulf race.
Love the knowledge but have u ever listened to yourself? U start and amend every sentence with Uhhhh or ummm. Sounds very uneducated. Just listen to a playback once. It’s literally hundreds of times in this video u do it.
Ummm What are you a school teacher lol? I don't think many people watch the show for how I talk or my grammar. Seriously....
@@PastTheWireTV just busting your balls. I started off the comment with the point that I love your knowledge brother man.
No worries, you're right and I don't ever listen to myself but other people have told me also. An anchorman future or job at TVG is out of the question LOL. @@chadv716
@@PastTheWireTV ur too smart to be on TVG. Plus I think u would slap Todd schrupp. I know I would. Thanks for the replies and your time. I will always listen to u….no matter how many times u say uhh and umm. Lmao
Grazie and I probably would@@chadv716
The 3 year olds were dominant?? Arcangelo decent the others garbage. White Abarrio and Zandon are best American dirt horses BY FAR
I don't think Geaux Rocket Ride or Arabian Knight are garbage at all. Mage too.
@@PastTheWireTV yes, they are....mage is pure GARBAGE. The Haskell(if you know what your doing) was a NEGATIVE KEY race: the Awful FLA bred who ran arabian into the ground ran dead last at parx at 4-5 next time. Salute the stars ran awful at 4-5 in smarty jones his next start. Mage got trounced in Travers.
People are basing the Pacific Class in their praise for these 3 year olds. Got news gor you- I've been a pro handicapper for 35 years. The crop of older horses in california this year was the worst in 50 years. All were glorified 40 claimers.
There are FOUR Good dirt horses in America this year. In order they are White Abarrio, Zandon,Codys Wish, and then maybe Arcangelo...and Arcangelo really isn't any better than Proxy.
