- In this video I tackle a nice variation of the conquistador braid, which I have dubbed the "Boxed conquistador braid". This one can be used effectively for belts, dog collars and using smaller cordage, maybe even bracelets.

Very Nice. How much cord is required for each completed box or how much cord vs number of completed inches?
It would be very helpful to know what length eact strand of 550 is.

The middle strand uses about 3 feet per rectangle, while the top cord uses about a foot, and the bottom one about 2 feet.

Hey! Each square used up about 3 feet of the middle cord. The two side ones used up less.
