I have this same kit. You don't have to use low tea lights because you just set the wood thing on top. It doesn't have to slide through the side. Just set it on top of candle.
Though, there's one advantage to using the shorter tea lights. You don't get the soot on the bottom of the spoon. Yana Smakula did a video using the taller tea light and it turned the bottom of the spoon black. Then it was kind of messy when she tried cleaning it off.
LOL! I just purchased a set of wax beads and several stamps about 8 months ago but haven't used them yet. I would have never thought Spellbinders would come out with a wax kit. Now I know where to purchase additional beads. I saw someone on YT say that you can take those wax "hot glue" sticks and cut them into bead size and melt them in your little warmer spoon if you don't like using the glue gun. So you can still use them! I think you can also use red rubber stamps with the hot wax as well. Thanks for sharing. Your seals came out amazing!
I’ve never used a wax kit, nor have I ever had the inclination. When I saw you mention these last week it didn’t even pique my interest but your video did.
Thanks, Nancy! I have been using wax seals for a while now and love them! I hope more stamp seals without the handles are a future option. Your seals came out perfect!
Looks amazing. I didn’t order the wax kit, but I did order one of the new glimmer hot foil plates that goes with this line of product. 😊. Used your link! Thanks Nancy!
Yes. I agree with her statement. And smell too. The Spellbinders doesn't have a crayon, waxy smell either. But if you keep your spoon clean, & wick short, you have less smoking too.
Love these markers! I’ve been using them since the original version came out. It wasn’t as metallic then as they are now, but it was the only metallic paint pen available. We used them in our yearbooks. 😊

I’ve been collecting since the 70’s. Loads of colored waxes and fun seals. I had fun collecting fun colors of wax while traveling in Europe.
Those seals turned out amazingly perfect.

Oh good idea. Thanks.

If you don't have tea lights, you can use your heat gun to melt the wax. Just set your spoon on the stand and heat from above.

Thank you for sharing. I got wax seal kit last yr from amazon on my envelope.
I had a few wax seals back in the *gasp* late 70's. Not sure if I want or need to add this to my card making.
Works well with what you have. The wax beads do melt quicker.
Pretty was seals...Thanks for sharing, Nancy!
I love this kit. Wax seals are great and so versatile.

I love playing with wax seals! Very versatile. Thanks for the video!
Such a pretty kit!
I believe it was Yana that mentioned that the Spellbinders wax doesn't smoke, but other brands do. Have any of you had this issue with off brands?
Yes. I agree with her statement. And smell too. The Spellbinders doesn't have a crayon, waxy smell either. But if you keep your spoon clean, & wick short, you have less smoking too.
I have never used wax seals...but I find this a very cool idea...I will have to buy and try this💖 thanks Nancy
No have not tried the wax seals yet. Looks like another addiction coming down the way
Is it bad that I want the wax seals, but I want the marker even more? It's so shiny 😍
Lol, I ordered all three markers.
@@NancyStamps Awesome! I may have to do that now lol. I kmow they're gonna be popular.

Super great demo. Do the seals go through the mail OK? And if you make them ahead and glue them on the envelope, do they go through the mail OK?
Waiting on my test sample to get to North Carolina and then I'll know.
I have a question, is the post office charging more to mail envelopes with seals?
Yes, I believe you have to use a "hand cancel" butterfly stamp.
What kind of markers work with seals?
Oil based. Check for DecoColor.
Thanks so much!
