i lived in IT park for 7 years, i moved out 10 months ago. I was paying $360 a month,,,,20k pesos,,,,For 1 person it was okay, but there can be so much noise from neighbors and in the hallway. Also construction of other condo towers are ongoing, so depending on were u live u could have constant noise during the day.
That's why I would never live in a condo. I'll set up a Philippine Corporation and lease back or conjucal property and do the house. Though condos are in nice centralized locations, if grab or bokyo or driving and do the same thing, then rather go that route. Though I don't mind once a month driving up to Manila 1.5 hours or less each way for the day or maybe stay overnight at an airbnb condo. However I see little benefit. Stayed in Festival walk Iloilo and that was nice for a couple of days.

That's a key reason why the owners are going broke, they just try to make money by price gouging and prospective tourists are just up and leaving. The business culture there is simply not honest.

Great vid on what is available for the hard earned buck!! You are doing a great job revealing what is possible for those that are considering a move to the PI
I checked out a foreclosure unit in this tower, the studio 22 sqm sold for 3.2m at auction. To finish it off, I’d say add 500k I beleive brand new they’re going for around 4-4.2m for the studios. 20-25k a month for long term.
I really enjoy your videos. They are entertaining and informative. I do have a question (which you have probably already answered somewhere). Is it better the rent or purchase. It seems like getting rid of a "house payment" would free up cash for other things. What are your thoughts?
Actually spent a night in one of the studio condos. Yes, the studio is small if you need it for everyday living. There's an Avida Towers and Avida Towers Riala Very nice self-contained neighborhood within Cebu City
No vax entrance requirements. I entered in Oct ‘24 and they did not ask any questions about health. They did not ask for or look for an entry visa (American passport, we get 30 days no visa required). Upon entry you do walk through a little heath screening area where they can check your temperature from a distance of about 8-10 feet.

Good day sir. Thanks for sharing. 4 questions if/when you have time. 1. What is the square footage of the studio and 1 br condo? 2. Is there a condo fee, how much, is it included in the rent? 3. What is the cost for a parking space? 4. What is the rent for a 1 br in Avida? Thank you in advance. Have a great day.
Avida Riala was a nightmare, i rented there about a year ago. They were still building the last tower, the noise was unbearable everyday. Especially when they were destroying cement, i had to keep leaving the condo or use headphones,, I made a mistake by looking at the condo on a sunday, no construction on sunday. I got out of there,,,,

And did you have to get a return ticket if you're staying there if you could just speak on some of this we would appreciate it so much and I would like to get one of the condos where you live thank you
Google flight is your friend. As far as cost for flying to Manila or cebu is one word, EXPENSIVE if considering business class for first class. For example, it cost me $8,102 usd roundtrip back in August for business class, layflat seats from dfw to mnl. So for first class tickets it could be plus 10k usd.
Americans do not need a visa for the Philippines if staying less than 30 days. If staying more than 30 you need a tourist visa. It’s probably better to get the visa in advance (if required). I planned to go the Bangkok after a couple weeks, so did not get a visa. I ended up not going to Bangkok, so I stayed 40 days. I went to the immigration office and applied for a 30 day tourist visa extension. Payed about 2000 Pesos, plus another 1000 Pedos to expedite it (pick up in 30 minutes, save me the hassle of going back 3 days later).
