Try to colab with Ms.Jessica Lee. She's Korean and migrated to the Philippines when she was 9 years old and lived in Silay,Negros Occidental. Maybe your daughter can learn from her because she studied in the Philippines too. Maybe, she can give an advice to lynn your daughter.Thanks.

Don't worry about the future because it has not yet happened, just live life at the moment because it is happening. Just live life one day at a time and enjoy every moment because we will never know if the future will ever come.

    • @gamesandamusement
      @gamesandamusement ปีที่แล้ว +3

@@VinSmoke-hc7po nope future is something not to worry about because nobody knows if the future will come so many people plan what to do tomorrow or the next day but are not there to wake up in the morning. If god decides to end your journey on earth this day you already waste your time worrying for the future instead of enjoying this moment of being alive.

Universities in manila and cebu are recognized internationally. But they are expensive so you have to study well to earn a scholarship. As a college student, i can relate to Lynn's worries but i believe that work hard pays off so don't worry about it too much 🧡 just work hard in the present and everything will follow!! 💕

You can let Hyewon know that graduating from a Philippine University broadens her opportunities. I am a State University graduate and worked in Singapore for several years. The first company I worked with was Samsung. I also have a few friends who graduated from another Uni and are now working in Australia. The fact that she will be fluent in English by the time she graduates, makes it easier to apply for jobs, not only in the Philippines or South Korea but other Asian countries too or anywhere in the world. Enjoy your youth and believe in yourself. 괜찮을 거예요!

I am a graduate from university. I am an engineer by profession. Now I am retired. One thing I realized in life that being a graduate from a good university is not a sure guarantee of success. I witness some people who were a graduate from the top university with high honor but after the academic year most of them are not successful in life. And surprisingly, those people who were not good and poor performer in school are successful and having good job and position. So, it is not a university that will transport you to success. Still YOU as an individual on how you approach and handle your life to be successful.

Hello Lynn, I understand that you might have concerns about your future career, especially studying in a different country. I just want to remind you that your experiences and the skills you're gaining here in the Philippines can be valuable assets. Instead of worrying too much, focus on self-improvement, honing your skills, and building a strong foundation. Your dedication and hard work will speak for themselves. Remember, this is a unique chapter in your life, and it's important to enjoy your youth, make lasting memories, and embrace the opportunities that come your way. Your future is bright, and I believe in your abilities. 화이팅!

Lyn, your daughter has so much potential. Just tell her to study hard, go to a prestigiois university like University of the Philippines or Silliman University, she can do whatever she wants if she graduates. Korea is not the only place to work. She can work to other places with high paying job and be proud of it. Your daughter is very smart. I think for Lyn's worry. The best solution she could take is either of the two:
If she does really want to stay and study college here in Ph. and still her diploma be recognized abroad. She should go to top 4 universities here in the Philippines. (That should atleast ease her worry for the significance of her diploma abroad)
2nd is that for what I know there is atleast 1 or 2 Korean private university here in Ph., which is run similarly with korean education.
I said 2 options because other than this there should be clear solution which is outside the Philippines.

nurses here have high standards abroad.. 😂
many foreigners especially iranians, indians, and africans come to study nursing and dentistry here just to get a job in english countries like canada, UK, and most part of europe...
but if those are not an option, you can still live and work here...
and if that's still not an option or you really wanted to live in korea in your older days, i guess they can give you an examination there or at least take another year or two to study there (your finished course here in PH) just to meet the standards
anyway, that's a great mindset .. focusing on present will give you peaceful state of mind.. if you worry about the future too much, you will worry at the present time until you reach your goal in the future.. worst, if you didn't reach your goal, you will have regrets in the future that will never fade... so, enjoy life today , make a plan for tomorrow, but don't worry too much of the future...
a filipino thing that make most of filipinos happy people even if they don't have much... 🙂

I think what you don't realize is the fact that graduates from the Philippines are actually more flexible and are being employed internationally because of English communication skills and exceptional work ethics. More and more foreigners are now studying college here in the country (mostly Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing) and then they go back to their countries or apply for a job in western countries like US, Canada, UK, Europe, etc. My Vietnamese friend who used to live here in the Philippines migrated to United States but went back here just to study Nursing. Then after passing the board exam and NCLEX, she flew back to the US and she is now a successful nurse there. There's endless opportunities for you, Lyn.
For now, focus on studying hard especially English and years from now, you'll understand what I am pointing out. 😊

the competition is high in S. Korea so it’s right to be concerned.
These days, majority of students take master program..depending on the field it’s typically 2 years (varies). One option is graduate in the Philippines then take master program in S. Korea. That already will save some money. That will give you a cutting edge in your credentials.
Also, u can start working part time while studying and not rush the master program… it’ll give you more time to understand yourself and what you really want to do in the field that you are taking.
I make my decision and plan my approach at 16 (age that Filipinos used to graduate high school). Just know that a plan is subject to change and it’s ok. Coming of age is part of life. Embrace the journey.
    Best of luck!!!
P.S. I understand if S. Korean companies are a bit bias with Philippines or other countries graduate. But remember, millions of Filipino graduates are around the world working as OFW and one of the major driver of Philippines economy. Philippine graduates can compete globally. There are universities that has international accreditation. Philippine graduates usually can pass international exam certifications.

We, Filipinos here in the U.S..we are recognized as professional like being a Doctor, Scientist, an Engineer like myself, an educator, a nurse or medical technologies that also worked at the hospital. Mostly Filipinos here who graduated in the Philippines earned their degree, but your situation back there is a bit different. You just need a little patience to get what you dreamed of in your life. Graduates from Philippine universities are very sought after professionals both here and abroad. Most are successful in their chosen professions. For sure, Lynn will get a good job in Korea even if she graduated in a Phil university. Her advantage is she will be fluent both in English and Korean. Even Korea cannot escape from globalization. Most Korean companies have gone global. For this, their workforce should be able to communicate well in English. But, there are some Koreans who prefer to work here in the Phil. Hence, even after getting a job in Korea, they come back to the Phil. I am a fan of Jessica Lee, who has become a famous, successful influencer and Sandara Park started in the Phil entertaiment industry before becoming a member of 20N1.

The young coconut with sweet coconut water and soft coconut meat is called buko in Tagalog (botong in Bisaya).
The mature coconut with hard coconut meat for cooking and coconut oil is simply called niyog in Tagalog.

I think for college, she has to study in Korea or other country because if she graduate in the Philippines, she cant get a job here in the Philippines because of the unemployment rate in the Philippines. The PH government needs to prioritize filipinos in job hiring. That's why it will be hard for foreigners to get a job here. Just like in other country, they only allow foreign workers if the job is having a hard time getting locals to hire for the job. That is when they allow foreign workers to fill the job.
There are many filipino working abroad but they have to gain experience here in the Philippines to get the job abroad.
So if the Korean companies will not acknowledged her PH college degree, it is best for her to study college in Korea. But maybe it also depends on what course she will be taking.

    From a bisaya perspective:
Coconut is the tree. In Dumaguete and other Bisaya provinces, we call it Lubi.
Its fruit is separated in to 5 types:
Lahing - the old coconut. Color Brown.
Butong - the young coconut. Color green/yellow. In Tagalog it is called Buko.
Buang - a coconut that has no buko flesh inside and just water.
Guilikangan - a coconut that has only got half of buko flesh and the other half got no flesh. It's juice is amazingly so sweet.
Macapuno - a variety of a coconut that has no water inside and the coconut meat is somehow gelatinous.
PS. A lahing coconut that is about to grow has a white thing inside, it is called Bula and it is edible. You must try it.

Lynn shouldn't worry about finishing her studies here in the Philippines. She could take and complete a college course here in Philippines for the career of her choice and should she choose to work in Korea or anywhere else, depending on the job suited for her college degree, she would only need either an accreditation of the unit descriptions from her transcript of records or passing a licensure exam required by the country where she would want to work. She might need to spend a few months or so to attend review classes in that country to prepare her for the exam/accreditation because naturally examination structures are entirely different from one country to another. Nevertheless, the education, experience and training that she will get in the Philippine universities should provide her enough foundation to be able to pursue a career anywhere in the world. There are tens of thousands of Filipinos who are now working in different industries around the world and are successfully competing in their various fields, with their Philippine education in their sleeves. For now, focus on your studies, be it here in the Philippines or in Korea. I'm sure you'll be just fine. ❤🙏
