He’s one of the most genuine people I’ve met. What you see is what you get. In the middle of his tour. He stopped by the Chesterfield County Jail and stayed and played with the guys for hours before heading to his VA beach concert. He didn’t advertise it. He just sat with people he understood and gave them hope. As a therapist in the program it was one of the most healing moments I have ever witnessed. The world needs more Jelly Rolls
I am a 66 year old Grammy of a 13 month old baby boy and he introduced me to Jelly! The song SAVE ME stops him in his tracks! He can be crying, in a meltdown and my son plays the song and Nyjah stops and blinks the tears away and is silent.... If he sees the video he will stop and watch!! I have never seen anything like that 😘 Thank you Jelly Roll xoxo Gma ❤
Awwww how special. Amazing 3 generations bonding over the same amazing soul that is Jelly Roll. He really knows how to connect with people no matter age/ social status or wealth. One of the most down to earth artist I'm so blessed to witness his growth.
My daughter and I saw you win your award for New Artist of the Year. Ms. Wynonna was scared to death. You recognized this immediately. You held her with your whole heart I fell in love with you immediately. You took them to church right off the bat. I'm 72 and love a rapper and real country singer. You're just great. We both hunt for your music. Congratulations
What a great interview! Jelly Roll is just the greatest human ever! I’m 60 years old and seeing him in concert is one of the few things on my bucket list! Jelly Rolls music helped me get through the death of my son, who lost his life to addiction. Addiction does indeed affect the entire family. Jelly, keep being you. Keep singing from the soul. Keep touching millions of lives. You did help Save Me! ❤
I am sorry for your loss. I had no clue who he was until I saw him open for Shinedown. He was so good and while I am a rocker, I really love some of his songs. They talk to people and he is very humble about his life.
I had the privilege of being a Jelly supporter from almost the beginning of his career. I’ve seen him perform at local rap shows and I’ve seen him sell out Bridgestone with more people than I’ve ever witnessed in there. I am happy for him and he has worked so hard to get to this point! He has a good heart for people and is using his success to help others, which he doesn’t have to do, but that shows the heart he has. Wishing you many more years of success!!
I saw him years ago in a tiny theater in Minneapolis with Yelawolf. I was like who the hell is Jellyroll?!? I fell in love the music immediately. It’s amazing to see how great he’s doing, and he’s just a good dude. #longlivejellyroll
I am 65 yo and haven’t been to a concert since my early 30’s! Jellyroll - I want to see YOU in person because you touch my heart! ❤ I love you for your honesty and authenticity. You (and your songs) are real. Keep on keeping on!! You deserve every success that you worked for!!! ❤️❤️❤️
As a British man in his late 20s I've never been interested in country music or southern hip hop, but the way this pure human talks about them reminds me of the love me and my friends express when we reminisce about the Jungle and D&B of the mid 00s. Such a great episode
Jelly (and Bunnie ) appreciates everything, he/they have worked so hard for. He can relate to people because he has been where they are and he cries because he feels so bad for them. He knows what he has accomplished after that part of his life. He’s excited for people to get through the pains in their life. He is just so down to earth because he has been through so much and made it to the top. He deserves everything and so much more. Love him/and Bunnie so much. His accomplishments are just starting. ❤️🙏🏻
Jelly Rolly you are A Gift from God when you figure it out the blessings and he gives you mercy and grace. He is the one making all this happen! Dont forget it!

My life is your lyrics 😢literally. My brother who has been missing for about 22 months now ,he is the one who turned me onto your music and I have never stopped listening since. So anytime I’m having a rough day , I crank me some jelly roll
this man, This man saved a drug addict/dealer from akron ohio with literally just words. been riding around bumping "riding all alone" since before I can remember. this shift in music is what lead to my shift into sobriety. I saved for almost 2 years to see him when he came to my city. well the family van busted and had to sell them to fix it. I WILL MEET THIS MAN AND THANK HIM SOMEDAY!!! but until then. i'll just support him anyway i can
Jelly Roll is the reason I'm watching this and of course Bunnie has a awesome podcasts 😎 it is because they are truly good people! I would love to work for both of them! ❤❤❤so thanks for having the best Country, Rock, Rap singer in these times of our needs!
Country music has some of the best , most emotional storytelling of all music. So sentimental and catchy, even the upbeat stuff. Love the evolution of music!
Been an OG Jelly Roll fan since the original 10 minute freestyle. Jelly has been my literal hero for about a decade tbh. One of the things I want more than anything is to WORK for Jelly Roll. I fit all the criteria needed except approval from the big dog himself! So if Jelly sees this. You changed my life bubba. You changed my outlook on life, and then some. Your story and mine are SO similar that it would literally shock you that someone else can relate that much. Idc if I’m the bus janitor, or if I’ve gotta wipe shoes when y’all get done. My biggest dream today, is to work for Jelly Roll year round. Pay me minimum wage. Idgaf. I just want to live in the experience. I just turned 30 this past Wednesday (12-13) and the clock is ticking down! Somebody help me, get Jelly to see this!!!!
Jelly Roll is the man in all ways! His story and music is so inspiring and I’m proud to be a fan for almost 2 decades! He deserves all the success that has came to him! #ForeverFan ❤
So happy that you guys touched on haystack immediately. For the real jelly roll fans, there ain't no jelly without haystack and there ain't no haystack without jelly. It gets way deeper then ppl know. Two best white rappers to ever come out of Nashville, been bumping stack since early 2000s.
Best jelly roll interview I've seen. So far the only podcast to ask about his early career. Most of these people only care now because he blew up on country music they pretend like his rap career wasn't incredible. I had the privilege to see him a few times in Columbus at the La Rosa Villa bar and in Toledo at a tiny club
Not a rapper but I was also sitting in prison in 08 got out actually meet jelly roll at Dudley’s on the westside of Columbus and I actually have grown right along with jelly using the music to fuel my soul from the bad times to now being the best father I can be thanks for it all Jason
JELLYROLL is the truth. I have listened to his music for about 20 years now. He is so inspiring . Your music has pulled me out of tough times as well as boosted the good times your music plays on my speakers for me whole family to hear on daily basis. Thank you Jelly for the music 🎶 🎉
Listening to save me makes me cry and relate for myself and many many of friends and family. I tell you the truth i can't even listen to it unless I'm by myself because I cry so hard i lose my breath. I'm a 66 yrs old rock n roller but of all I've ever heard you've touched my soul to depths i never even know were there. Sorry gotta go can't see my phone right now because tears are coming so hard.please know you are touching souls good and bad we alll need you. Love you rescpet you and will forevermore
We love you, Jelly!!! ❤️ I absolutely loved this interview. JELLY PLEASE NEVER STOP SPEAKING TO YOUR EXPERIENCES AND FOR THOSE OF US WITHOUT A VOICE. I LOVED YOUR REPLY TO THAT QUESTION. You ARE a voice for the voiceless! No doubt. We appreciate you and your music more than you will ever know. 🙏❤
Had me tearing up when you were talking about calling your mom with all the bad times and situations and then being able to call her with the grammys news.. MAN i can RELATE. ON SO MANY WAYS I CAN RELATE TO YOU
Growing up a white boy in Memphis/Mississippi, I relate so much to Jelly and everything he’s saying. Thank God this dude got what he deserves and is able to help us all survive our struggles. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
I have been a @jellyroll fan since the datpiff days! It's truly been such an amazing, beautiful journey! From watching him with the 10 min freestyle to colab with Haystak. To meeting bunnie & getting Bailey to all the awards performing at the grand old opry! Congratulations, @jellyroll! So proud of you, sir! Dreams can come true! Thank you for sharing & barring your soul! Your music has truly saved me & so many others! 🖤💜🎵🖤🎵💜🖤🎵💜
This was such a good conversation! Jelly is such a good interviewee - so vulnerable, so insightful, and so thoughtful. Thank you Joe and Jon for doing this!
Being an up and coming artist finally making way. Being privileged to sing a hook for haystak!! Jelly roll gives me hope!! Thank you for your authenticity thank you for your vulnerability!! Thank you for making a normal guy like me feel like it's possible!!! I'm in tears man. This is the best interview for me to date.
Jelly... You are an inspiration to all those who struggle to pull their lives together and make their dreams a reality. Thank you for sharing your art and your life and your love with us!! I really hope that the world allows us to meet someday. I hope to be able to see one of your shows and just maybe get to meet you💖🙏🏻🎤🎶
Jelly I’m not gonna lie my name is Mike and I’m really embarrassed and feel bad for thinking this but when I first saw you I was on drugs so bad I thought you was either fake or a trader. You have been used by God to change me. This is my girlfriend’s account but I had to leave a comment which I never do. Thank You For Everything You Do. I’m sure you get messages like this all of the time but for me this feels so personal that I had to send you this message to say THANK YOU! I really enjoyed this!!
What an incredible person Jelly Roll is! I think he is so deserving of all the love and accolades. It's so nice to see a genuine person achieve such respect and recognition. I'm 68 years old have 3 kids and 6 grandkids...I'd be so proud to be his honorary Mamaw! I love going to live music, and seeing Jelly Roll live is definitely at the TOP of my bucket list! Great Interview with a fabulous artist; thank you Jon, Joe, and Jelly!
Jelly, you are the definition of a sincere, humble person. I really appreciate the man you are and the music you make! Thank you man! And holy shit .."What do you want me to do .. F*ck a goat"? In reference to the country music industry... Was the first thing I've heard in a long time actually made me burst out laughing 💯
This just showed up in my algorithm and I’m HERE for it! Jelly is so genuine and these 2 made it so comfy and personable it was like chillin with jelly!
Love Jelly Roll, this man has so many layers to who he is, what he fights for and what he believes in. Listen to him speak and sing, trust me you will learn and be enlightened.
This man is literally the only artist I NEED, not want, actually NEED to see live before I die. I have never had an artist hit home to my heart & soul so deeply as Jelly Roll. I am not great with expressing myself sometimes, but Bubba, if you're reading this; please know that you have made me laugh, cry and fight thru things you could not imagine. Thank you for sharing your story, and thank you for sharing your words & voice. Also...Bunnie is 🥵🥵. Love from Ottawa Ont.
This is the first interview ive heard him talk about his rap career. Ive listened to him the early 10's and love how hes finding his voice and place in country music.
I love you big boy boy.. I love you story Love You background I feel your real dude attitude.. I'm running to tough times dealing with some heart issues not being able to work or get any help... Listening to Your music helps me get through it
As a 73+ grandmother from Oklahoma I follow Jelly Roll religiously! My granddaughter turned me on to him and BunnyXO early on. “His music is heart sent and heart felt”. I thank you SIR for all you do.
I’ve watched a lot of Jelly interviews and this might be the best one. You both asked him some really good questions and brought out more of his story. Love you bubba. 615 all day long baby!
Cheers to the editors! Dropping all the covers and snippets to give context while keeping you engaged with what is being said -- chef's kiss! Also, love the praise and history Jelly Roll brings to the conversation! I listened to his music a little randomly as a genre jumper myself and fell in love, but his kind personality keeps me coming back to hear real messages from a real person.
I will say that at 57 years old and have different music ways ...growing up with from Glenn Miller, Hank Williams Jr. , and even Kiss plus WWE ... I want to thank you.. This interview was Awesome..
Jelly Roll we all love you so much for what you speak about!! I lost my twin sister to addiction and almost died myself in it!! I luv you more than I can explain ❤Thank you Jason/ Jelly Roll!!!
Love it. Such a huge fan of Jelly Roll. Love his story and what he does to help people heal. We drove from Dallas to South Carolina to see him on 10/12. Since we missed the Dallas show. Also love his love story with bunnie. She needs to do a song rewrite of kill a man, back to you. 💜
This made me cry. I am so thankful for Jelly Roll who cares about our young people. God is using him in a mighty way to touch so many people of all ages. I thank Bunny for being by his side. May God bless you always ❤❤😊❤
I think Jelly Roll is the most real person alive!! I believe his job on earth is to help people and to spread the Love like he does!! I raised 2 boys and I always taught them never be afraid to cry no matter where you are!! It’s a natural thing for us to cry!! I know he has a heart because he wears it on his sleeve!! You go Jelly Roll I just need to hear your music , and I am a recovering addict and his songs have helped everyone who has something they were addicted to!! Love you Jelly Roll!! ❤❤❤🎉🎉
I've been bumping JellyRoll in Akron Ohio since 2010 thanks to my bro Dennis who moved to Tennessee and was working with Chad Arms, who is a damn good rapper as well. Dennis used to send me CD's of Haystak, Chad Arms and Jelly, and I was bumping all 3 all the time. Years later, my friend Steelo worked with Jelly and I was like, oh shit, thats my dude. Just want to say I'm proud of how far JellyRoll has come and his success. I do hope he's able to get the world to hear Chad as well because dude is extremely talented and deserves success as well. Keep up the great work, I'll be listening.
Live JellyRoll & Bunnie and their life stories. Shows with dedication & drive you truly can do anything in this lifetime. So many of us feel defeated everyday from the smallest to the biggest thing. You truly have to have backbone to survive in this world & they did it ❤️
Loved the down home authentic interview with Jelly. Showed how good his heart and the authenticity of his music. Greatly appreciated for a job well done.
I can’t say enough he deserves to be where he is and I’m so proud and happy of him he is so loved and he loves his family and Fans and has such a huge heart #JellyRoll #Popcast
I’m a 66 year old grandma who was turned onto Jelly by my grandson. I LOVE JELLY ROLL!! I love that I can feel his heart and soul when he sings. I grew up with the greatest music of the 60s and 70s. Not many have impressed me since and this man has my heart.
Thank you, I love your music. I love your words of wisdom. You helped me through so much. I can never repay you. But you have a fan for life and hopefully in the afterlife too Lord knows that be the best seat in the house is from heaven. The awards are just starting and you're going to get a lot of them. Hope you have enough room in the new house for just a room for your awards. We love you and keep doing what you're doing. You have a beautiful soul
What a great interview! Jelly Roll has, is, and still to come touching millions of hearts and lives. Not only through his music, but through his humbleness as a person. He isn't afraid of opening the door to his skeletons in the closet. Stay true to yourself Jelly Roll and to the people like you been doing. We the people can feel every pain and truth in your life and your songs. Sending love your way ❤❤❤❤
@JellyRoll I am a huge fan of you and MGK and it would literally be a dream come true to see the two of you collab on a song together. My two favorite artists in one song!!
I was blessed to see this man in Dallas last September with a friend of mine! I had heard his music before the concert but AFTER that concert i became a huge fan!! I think his honesty in his struggles in life are the reasons for his stardom now. Jelly Roll is so very humble and down to Earth and there are no pretences in his music!! There can never be another to do what he does EVER!! I adore his heart, his soulful and beautiful voice goes straight to the soul and forever changes you for the better!! I am and always will be a huge fan!! Love to clean and putz in the house with Jelly on my bluetooth speakers!! Love you Jelly Roll you are amazing to this little old lady in Texas!
I love jelly roll he is so honest and I love his songs . I’m 67 yrs old and I heard him on country radio the first time I heard him I’ve been a fan since then. Someday I hope to see him in concert. Jelly Roll you are a very caring person I fell that from your music
It's not often that I fall in love with an artist's work, and am able to introduce my parents AND my children to them, and find the same love of the work in their eyes and hearts, as I feel in mine. Jelly Roll gives us a gift of love and grace, that lands so profoundly it is universal. Thank you, sir.
Jelly I’m one of the few that have listened to your new 10 minute clips on TH-cam and saved your music on TH-cam back in 2009 or 2010. Like I tell EVERYONE I’ve been listening to you before the facial tattoos. I LOVE YOUR MUSIC JELLY AND I LOVE YOUR KIND AND CARING HEART.
Love Jelly Roll...I've lost two special family members due to drugs.. have a stepbrother in prison for life due to being on drugs and being with the wrong person at the wrong time. Hugs.. you and you're music bless me, my family, and so many others. Love you and you're music!
So very good! I’m a 49 yr old single mom and grandma who has had a lot of bad things happen in my life and family. You keep it real and give so much hope Jelly. Much love from Wendy in NC. ❤️
Great interview J !! So proud of you Bubba in how far you have come as a human being and singer, how hard you have worked and in your success as you so deserve everything that is coming your way!! I went to 3 or your Backroad Baptism Tour Concerts this year and was amazed every time at the growth I have seen in you!! Long way from the days at "Pops" - so proud of you!!! Love you Bubba!!!
Jelly Roll, I love and truly appreciate how raw, real and honestly vulnerable you are in every answer you give. It is absolutely refreshing and you are a role model to so many people speaking of all the trials and tribulations of your life story. Please don’t ever stop. Thank you sincerely
No human wants to be in the system lost in no hope. He gives hope and light to a better life, a dream that can be realized. Just the fact he is in the trenches making a difference and not just listening to his own praises is what it’s about. You sir are a gift of Gods love. Sing on sir sing on.
Wow, great interview.. I had a scarily similar upbringing and the drugs and the jail you went to music I went racing and building custom cars and did well for myself I can see how you have become an inspiration to others Congratulations on all the success you have achieved you have earned me as a fan /listener #salute

He is so sweet & genuine. I'd love to meet him. You are amazing. Good luck!!
Jelly thank you for being you and changing the world through your music!
I've seen every Jellyroll interview and then some. Yall nailed this! Have my sub.
Big fan of your music Mike Sons!
Jelly... You are an inspiration to all those who struggle to pull their lives together and make their dreams a reality. Thank you for sharing your art and your life and your love with us!! I really hope that the world allows us to meet someday. I hope to be able to see one of your shows and just maybe get to meet you💖🙏🏻🎤🎶
Your so inspiring ❤
I got the new album for christmas on vinyl. I LOVE IT! This man's talent and humility are a beautiful combination. God bless you Jelly!
Damn, this is one hell of an interview and the sort of perspective lost around artistry in our more immediate era. Nice job all around.
❤
Jelly I’m not gonna lie my name is Mike and I’m really embarrassed and feel bad for thinking this but when I first saw you I was on drugs so bad I thought you was either fake or a trader. You have been used by God to change me. This is my girlfriend’s account but I had to leave a comment which I never do. Thank You For Everything You Do. I’m sure you get messages like this all of the time but for me this feels so personal that I had to send you this message to say THANK YOU! I really enjoyed this!!
Been a fan since your day's with Haystack and I love u man! Nobody deserves it more I wish u the best.
U won't be disappointed I'm definatley trying to.go again asap
His concerts are amazing it's like he's singing to you're soul❤️
This is the first interview ive heard him talk about his rap career. Ive listened to him the early 10's and love how hes finding his voice and place in country music.
I love you big boy boy.. I love you story Love You background I feel your real dude attitude.. I'm running to tough times dealing with some heart issues not being able to work or get any help... Listening to Your music helps me get through it
Dude has come from ground zero and people say they have never seen someone climb so fast but hes been at it damn near his entire life.
As a 73+ grandmother from Oklahoma I follow Jelly Roll religiously! My granddaughter turned me on to him and BunnyXO early on. “His music is heart sent and heart felt”. I thank you SIR for all you do.
I think that's what i need for happiness too. To finally feel like I'm bringing more to the table than problems.
I love Jellyroll so much and now my 74 year old dad who is a Marine & Vietnam Vet loves him too now... Jellyroll is amazing!!

We love you so much Jelly Roll! You are such an awesome person and you bring a positive message to all. Thank you for your music
I'm 67, found “I'm not ok”. Thank you for this song!!
Jelly Roll is the genuine person/singer. I love all his songs, and listening to his story is totally authentic and honest.
Legendary interview.

I love jelly roll he is so honest and I love his songs . I’m 67 yrs old and I heard him on country radio the first time I heard him I’ve been a fan since then. Someday I hope to see him in concert. Jelly Roll you are a very caring person I fell that from your music
15 mins in and this is my favorite roll interview of recent times ! Aligns with what we planned to do with jelly before the pandemic! Thanks guys
Your 🎵 music hits me in my soul love it keep em coming

So very good! I’m a 49 yr old single mom and grandma who has had a lot of bad things happen in my life and family. You keep it real and give so much hope Jelly. Much love from Wendy in NC. ❤️

Man Jelly Roll is absolutely an amazing human! He is authentic and his huge heart just brings me to tears! I just want to squeeze him!!!🥰
Jelly Roll, I love and truly appreciate how raw, real and honestly vulnerable you are in every answer you give. It is absolutely refreshing and you are a role model to so many people speaking of all the trials and tribulations of your life story. Please don’t ever stop. Thank you sincerely
You will FOREVER be “Grammy Nominated Artist” 🔥🔥🔥
The world needs more people like jelly roll
No human wants to be in the system lost in no hope. He gives hope and light to a better life, a dream that can be realized. Just the fact he is in the trenches making a difference and not just listening to his own praises is what it’s about. You sir are a gift of Gods love. Sing on sir sing on.
