Jelly what you said about genre switching is facts. I’m outta state for work at a hotel the other night I had my cowboy hat on my ice cube shirt listening to Montana of 300 drinking whiskey with some OGs from Louisiana. It’s a good time to be alive for music lovers
Seeing jelly cry in this in the memory of his dad really struck me and hit me in the heart. I lost my dad around the same time jelly did and I was ready to end it and his music has saved my life. I was with a gun to my head and one of his songs came on and I just started crying and couldn't go through with it. I just hope one day I can thank him personally for saving my life.
I don’t normally post on TH-cam, much less comment on other people’s posts, but for whatever reason your post made me want to say that I hope you’re in a better place now. I’ve been close to that before and Jelly, Struggle, Yelawolf, many more, have all helped me get through those times. Music has definitely saved my life many a time and I’m glad it helped you to keep going. Keep staying strong bro. I hope Jelly sees your post and I hope even more that you get the chance to tell him in person.
@@montgomeryrothschild4986 jelly brought the thoughts of not pulling the trigger to life. Without the lyrics of that song slipping through the cracks of the depression running rampant through this mans mind, something else would’ve ran through it. I can honestly say Chester Bennington, Morgan Wallen, Kolby Cooper, Ryan Upchurch, and Jason Aldean have saved my life on multiple occasions. They have heavy impact, I hope you find an artist or something that can affect your life that much, it truly is an incredible feeling.
Lost my dad in 2017 and was there when he went and he hurt really bad but what hurt worse is how much it didn't seem to hurt the others that surround that situation if that makes sense! I'm sure they care, however, fuck them for the question!
As a kid we had three stations, classic rock, country and everything else, I’m 42, we heard Nirvana and DMX on the same channel,,, we grew up that way, hopefully country stations will just get it 🙏
My husband and I listen to Jelly, Struggle, Yela, Ritz, Calhoun, Upchurch and Bubba to name a few more than anything. We love all your music so much. Thank you. You've all helped so many. God bless. From Seattle Washington!
Thank you for the constant love and support you have been showing me and my music . I really appreciate you. Your support and love keeps me going. Keep being a lovely fan. Where are you watching from?❤️😊😊..
Oh, I totally love the demo song for ' Good Day For Flower Shops '. That's from experience and for what it's worth, please let your heart open up!!! Jelly Roll is awesome with expressing, what I call the truth of life. Let it shine you guys!! ALL LOVE, ALWAYS💯‼️
Man we love you Jelly. Watching you grow as a man and an artist into who you are today is amazing. We are lucky to have you and I wish nothing but the best for you and your family.
Love you, support you, and super proud of you Jelly Roll! Late 60s, female, die hard classic rocker, and love Jelly Roll. Wish you were my sin, but I will have to lol settle for your videos, lives, voice, lyrics, poetry, passion, and all things Jelly Roll. Your voice I has a tone of it's own.
I was so inspired by Jelly Rolls music that I wrote a song, to a beat from one of his songs. It had been over ten years since I've written anything! That's when I know I'm really into something, when it inspires me.
Aw.. I wish i could hug Jelly Roll. What a sweet dude. Loved this interview! ERNEST, you're the freaking man. I listen to Flower Shops at least once a day since its release lol

I have the utmost respect for Jelly Roll .Alot of musicians, professional athletes and actors could learn from J R how to stay grounded and get out the checkbook and put your money where your mouth is and make a difference. He is REAL and HONEST ,a true inspiration for anyone who has a "troubled "past.

Please release Flower Shops just acoustically. It needs nothing else. It’s perfect. The emotion speaks for itself. An Ernest straight up acoustic album would be life changing.
Man, I can't tell you how much this conversation hit home. So many different aspects that I can relate to bc I have and currently am living them. These are 2 real dudes.
I love you guys being so open and honest about your emotions and what is going on in your head. For too long our society has taught little boys it's not okay for them to cry or talk about feelings. It great to see men modeling for the next generation of men that it is okay to have feelings and to express them.
I come back to the part where jelly talks about his father 🌌 I lost my ole man to cancer. And I just see alot of myself in jelly! Truly inspirational human being! 🙏🌌🤘🔥🔥🎸🎤🎸🎤 Keep bringing the tunes jelly!!! 🤘🔥
I wanna hear that beautiful completed country song called Flowershop. Nice to hear someone younger singing that ole school real country music. And what a great podcast between you and Jelly.

I recently found your podcast and I’m enjoying it. I love the fact of how jelly says that it’s accepted to listen to all genres. Growing up with my mom she played everything from Red Hot Chili Peppers to Clint black to outkast. It was also great growing up with my grandparents growing up listening to chubby checkers to Hank sr. It’s awesome how music is because music is an amazing way to show how you feel and to change how you feel. I think a great genre bending artist is Ronnie doing rap and metal core type music with falling in reverse. It’s always great seeing that
J iv literally fallen in love with you no joke you and another independent artist that are preaching the good words brought me back to music for real thank you and I appreciate you your changing my life in the best of ways.
I’ve been around music since I was 5. Play multiple instruments. On 1 hand it was playing and singing in church every time the doors were open with my grandparents. And on the other hand it was blasting drums to everything from Metallica to Warren G and the Kentucky Headhunters with my stepdad. Music is the 1 thing in this world that has the power to bring this world together. I love seeing artists that ain’t afraid to merge different genres. In my eyes, there’s only 2 genres of music. Good and bad. Keep it real fellas.
My husband is 5 years younger than me too. At first, I was a little weary about the age, even though I was months away from turning 33 and his 28th birthday was 2 months to the day after mine. But it's now been almost 5 years, we recently got married and he's the best thing that's happened to me in years since I had my daughter! I haven't looked back and I'm the happiest I've ever been. He is truly my soul mate and his and my relationship is a lot like Jellyroll and Bunnies! I could listen to Jelly Roll and his wife, every single day. Two of the REALEST, yet most down-to-earth people one could ever know! God bless Jelly Roll and Bunnie! ❤

That's just like ol hank getting in that mountain accident but living thru it and moving people in more of a way than anyone has ever. Cause most Americans can recall at least 1 ol hank song.
Used to pay 5-10 bucks to watch Rock play live and sometimes there'd be 10 ppl there and sometimes it'd be so jam packed ya couldn't hardly move. Maybe it's nostalgia but seeing so many times in clubs and pubs where'ed he come out and smoke with ya after... this big shows now.. I just don't have any desire to go; it'll never be better than it was in the mid-late 90s in the dirty butt small spots
Man drop that song flower shops. That hit them heart strings harder than any song iv heard this year. Jelly saying Tickled about M10 lives rent free in my head!
Hearing this a year after and seeing him talk about Flower Shops before it was recorded gave me chills.
