Explore the cultural heart of Greece on a GetYourGuide tour of Thessaloniki, where ancient history meets modern vibrancy in a city full of fascinating landmarks and hidden gems gyg.me/gEux4hoI
@@Wolf-xm9zy Depends on what you're looking for . An example is the Aigiptou Street ( Αιγύπτου ) is populated mostly with rock/metal bars , then in Katouni ( Κατούνη ) street you will find various restaurants and taverns . If you want to experience what most locals ( mostly younger people ) do in ladadika then you can go to either Pl. Marichovou ( Πλ. Μαριχόβου ) or Pl.Emporiou ( Πλ.Εμπορίου ) . There are of course many more places to visit and discover , but these are good starting points . Feel free to explore the area
Great Video. Would you say clubs and bars are only busy on the weekends ? i wanted to travel to this location during the week but worry there will be nothing happening during the week with minimal people going out during the beggining of march
If it's not a holiday, most of the bars yes, they are more crowded on the weekends. But some of the clubs in the lower Ladadika square open late, meaning after 22:00 at night, or at midnight. Some are closed on Mondays. As for bars, some are open all day or from the early evening untill past midnight. On restaurants, the kitchen usually closes either a bit before or after midnight. The beginning of March starts feeling warmer but you are right to think less people will be out on weekdays. It happens.
When I used to visit my sister in Evosmos in the mid-1990s I'd go with her and her friends to a club called Tounel (previously Dephi/Defi) Loved it there. When she later moved to Stavroupoli in the 2000s, my Greek friends and I would spend time in the Marakana sports bar watching football! I miss it a lot...
