Hello Jay Love. My DJ mixer is already hardwired for power inside of a DJ case so I never have that issue. My speakers i(QSC) have a distinctive blue and yellow IRC END on it that goes into the speakers. What I recommend for Use masking tape, a paint marker, or a LabelMaker to label your cables so that you know where they go to.
Beware of the danger of possible phantom power from mixer, through Male to Male Adapter + Female XLR to mini TRS damaging phone or computer !!! And such hot consumer level signal from your gadget, also might not sound good, straight in to XLR in mixer (preamp for mic level).
