    What an amazing costume! Thank you for showing all the layers, great inspiration, even if I'm not playing an Orc. But tempting! And thanks for the advice at the end!

    With any luck, I’ll be playing my first orc character next spring. I relate to your statement about “how can anyone see me as this,” and yeah, orc costumes are never quite complete. ☺️
    Thank you for the layering video, it helps with understanding what makes it so great and eye-catching.

    Inspirational! I did my first cosplay as a pirate at a recent Renaissance Festival and decided I want to branch out into some sort of Orc/Viking/Barbarian/medieval warrior character of some sort. You inspired me! Layers, layers, layers!

    I love so much all your little details and small touches you put on your costume ! I think for making costume you need to put more things the better! And everything you put in place have a signification too, that damn amazing!
    It would be awsome to have some youtube video about « diy orc accessory » or « diy orc costume piece ».
    It’s such difficult for me to make that sort of accessory, because you can’t just put whenever you want in place, you need to think about it, and to keep in mind your outfit in mind.
    So yeah , seriously, great work, I’m amazed! Keep going :)

    Trying out LARP for the first time this year, it's pleasing to see kits and costumes from others on here, even when it's a costume vastly different to what I am (refined mage inspired by LOTR elves).
    No idea if you keep an eye on here, but if you do, hope your orc is still going well!

    great costume! Im doing my own costume right now and yours gives me great inspiration. thanks so much for sharing!
    One thing I want to add: Even though thats a really cool mask, I have one point about it: the more air is trapped between your skin and the mask-latex, the more you have heat encapsuling there. so the more your mask doesnt fit, the hotter it gets in there. if you want to optimize your heat menagement, you need a mask that is fitted to your head. the process is difficult and time consuming, but pays off tremendously! It also looks a lot better and more unique since that mask applies to your own facial features.
    here is how its done in a broad overview:
    To make such a mask you have to do a cast of your head and then make a clay dummy-head from that. then you can make layering of latex to create the mask. you can leave the backside of your head open because: later the mask is applied to a bataclava-mask (you know these black masks cliche murglars wear ). And you then put hair and stuff on the backside. this way you have a lot less latex on your head, wich helps heat to escape and the free space is covered up too.
    another great point about heat menagement in such a costume is to wear function-shirt and pants underneath, wich prevents you from getting blisters from your gear and spreads the heat more evenly.

    Superb. How did you get the sheepshair to adhere to the latex mask? Contact cement? Additionally - with combat, how do some of the more delicate elements (like the vertebrae bones on your right bracer) handle combat and heavy activity?

    • @lonelylarpcrafter3459
      @lonelylarpcrafter3459  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! The sheepshair is attatched with latex! it bonded really well with both the mask and the hair. So far none of the bones have broken in combat, but i need to add that i am usually not a frontliner and i wouldnt mind if they would break (basiccly free weathering haha) but there are company's that make verry realistc looking bones out of foam if your worried about that
