I’m a GoBots fan as well, and the thought of getting reimagined characters in Transformer form is great. Crasher for me is a case of the repaint being better than the original. I also skipped on Earth mode Mirage,. Love the paint and the head, while not the best, is tolerable.
To be fair, the only thing that really looked 'female' about the original cartoon Crasher was they gave her girly lips. I too skipped this mold as Mirage as I was fine with the first version of him, but got it as Leadfoot and hopefully one day Crasher.
The only thing that bothers me about this is that they used the Mirage Toy accurate head from the clear Siege version. I would have loved to see a crasher style head. Great review, man.
I finally found this figure for a reasonable price on Amazon; I do like the rounder head sculpt, and the probably accidental homage to the original Tonka toy’s red visor. Hope to have the Toyhax set soon.
They really should’ve used the Dragstrip mold for Crasher. Both the car and robot modes are closer to Crasher’s original look. Just would’ve needed a new head and maybe gotten rid of the extra wheels.
This figure is more of an update to the 2007 Fracture figure. Which was a walmart exclusive repaint of Classics Mirage in Crasher's colors, but with a name they had trademarked at the time.
Need to start on this subline. Trying to find a Cosmos reasonable still. Would dig swing some other Gobots merged into TF universe. I mean Dreamwave did sneak them into the lore. War Within Pit crowd we see Leader 1 and Cy-kill sneaking in. Well Cy-kill looks worried as all heck about being spotted.
I rather see Crasher in her proper race car & her own mold with effects parts to display Crasher using her infamous earthquake stomp to the give the "Gobots" respect as they deserve.
They own the character names and the concepts originated in the cartoon, but everything else is Bandai's property. They also don't own the cartoon, it's currently in Warner Bros Discovery's grasp.
@@PatriotPrimeReviews I have that one. Still unboxed. I was going to get Darkwing too...but the combined jet mode wasn't all that good. PotP was pretty disappointing to me.
I wonder if they do another G1 W hirl if they'll redo the mold as Koptor. and i can easily see a junkion as Cykill. Not sure If we'll ever get a decent Leader - 1 again.
Yeah, it's hard to see the femininities in that face sculpt. But she looks good, even if the alt mode isn't really what she was. If I see it I might be tempted. Great review as always!

I had to buy my Crasher off Mercari because she has not shown up anywhere in a 150mile radius of central Illinois…
I think they need a better head sculpt, but overall I'm glad I managed to find her.

I'm definitely grabbing this when I can, I really hope they do other Go-Bot recolors, at least the main six characters.

They tried. TakaraTomy made a boxset of G1 Minibots painted like their GoBots counterparts.
I did a wheel upgrade and shoulder mount on mine, it looks way better IMO
All I can say is..bring on Cy-Kill and Coptor!
Can't wait to see what toyhax will do with her. Hopefully somebody will do a head / filler , and weapon upgrade kit

I'm loving this Crasher love, she was one of my favorite Renegades and toy as well. But when is Small Foot gonna get some love, man?
Trans -Gobot !? Her head/ face is a bit odd, but the overall figure is not bad.
Crasher looks much better than Mirage. Mirage looked cheap. This paint scheme looks soooo much better.
I do like the acknowledgement of gobot characters but that is a poor excuse of a crasher. I wish they'd make them look like the original gobots .
Bandai owns the toys that became the GoBots, and thus the character designs.
