  • Top 10 worst small towns in Tennessee. The Volunteer State has some sad towns.
Tennessee is a great state. I know a handful of people from the Volunteer state and they are all amazing people. But like all cities, states, and towns they have some problems. That is what this video is about. Towns with serious problems. If you have ever thought about moving to rural or small-town Tennessee you probably would want to stay away from these areas. Talk to a local real estate agent before you decide to buy a home in any of these.

This is so innacurate, it's not even funny. Tennessee is a state of vast farmland, beautiful forested mountains, and southern pride. The people are some of the nicest on earth.

@@jacobhall2290 i lived in nashville tn for 6 years between 13-19.
Ive had a friend die. At 20 (i was 19)
I went to school with kids that killed people.
I was introduced to sex at 13 and molested in middle school.
I was abused for 13 years and when police were called my abuser was only sentenced to two weeks in prison.
My abuser attempted suicide when i was 12 and was let out of the mental hospital after a week.
When he returned he beat the shit out of us.
There arent enough side walks to promote walking around and even if you did youd probably end up dead trying to walk around mt juliet or antioch due to drivers.
The driving course is literally take a right out of the parking lot, another right, another right, park your car in the parking lot.
My hs got rid of american sign language and art and french so they could promote kids that were spanish / arabic to take their native language So they could get an easy a.
I was told i didnt know english and was almost forced in to ELL (English Learning) despite never learning spanish being born in florida and going to school learning english.
Every job i had worked forced me to work for hours without a lunch break.
Every job i had i had been sexually harassed at least once
Every job i had made me do as much work possible for as little pay possible.
I slipped and fell in to an open bucket full of glass and never received compensation and was also never asked if i was ok and instead was asked when i could return to work.
Bus routes arent as common or accessible.
The only thing i can say that was good about tn
Was the people arent as mean as they are in florida and thats not a compliment.

      Nashville
Just a little insight it sucks to live in for multiple reasons, but those reasons stem off of it being run by crazy liberals. Living in Nashville and Memphis is begging for trouble.
I also feel alot of this is just crap too. You dont get a lunch break if you work 5 hours or less thats just how it is, if you worked 6 you would have gotten a lunch break. The fact you didnt die of starvation means your ok. I highly doubt you were molested/sexually assaulted at every job you worked, but it sounds like you dont have very much work experience anyway due to your complaints of work lunch breaks. Also you chose these jobs that paid you the minimum you say for maximum hours, they are gonna try and pay the least they can for as much work, you taking the job for the low pay and long hours is on you
Slipping and falling into glass is on you for not suing.

Not sure how or why things have changed so much. I lived a short time in Jasper Tennessee back in the early 70s. Very small town near Chattanooga . It was great. Safe. And I rode a motorcycle (I was from S. Calif). I'd take rides into the back roads and never once had a problem. In fact, one time I was running out of gas and only had 25¢ in my pocket. A guy had a gas pump outside his house/store and filled up my gastank for nothing. Just said to have a nice ride and enjoy the day. I will say, if you are the government, don't even try to tell those people how to live. They don't like that.

We moved to east Tennessee in September of 2018 and reside in lower Cosby along the Pigeon River and go into Newport for shopping. The countryside is picturesque, rent is very reasonable, we have great neighbors and it's quiet and we love it here. The people we have interacted with are very friendly and have shown no animosity towards us, transplants from San Diego. We treat everyone with respect and get treated the same way. We have had our son and girlfriend visit us over the holidays and they loved it here. Its not for everyone but we love it here. RESPECT to all back home and to all those here around our new one. We are still Charger and Aztec fans but now also root for the Titans and the Vols.

TX used to be considered a rather freedom-loving place, but Californians and some others are taking over which also means far, far higher prices. Even TX state laws aren't so freedom-minded - such as the auto safety inspection (very strict, costs a lot to get your car up to thier idea of safe) and the high property taxesd. Also, the TX driver's license uses that chip that can track you (I didn't describe it well).

I lived in Lone Oak when I started elementary school. The year before I started the local school closed so I had to ride the bus for an hour just to get to school. That's a long day for a 5 year old. I left for school before my parents left for work and got home after them. I guess they saved on childcare lol.
