Strength builds against her are easy as hell. Lion's claw, stagger, riposte, repeat. Not even difficult and probably more safe then spamming rivers. My strength build probably had the easiest time compared to my dex builds
The build doesn't really matter it is akways a tough battle if you do it solo. But there is no denying that bleed is the best way to counter her healing mechanic.
I beat her with maxed out rivers of blood and uchigatana and remember how confused i am how is this the hardest boss fight in the game? and turned out im using the best build against her, mimic tears and i got lucky since she didnt use flurry attack all phase lolll. NG+ i decided to beat the game again with no summons. When i fight her with another build ,now i can see why people pissed off with her, literally cant beat her without bloodhound step.
@@MoXy69YT you can actually cancel her Flurry atk with icepots. she falls from the sky like a rock when you throw it at her while shes still in the air. she isnt just weak to blood but also to ice.
Strength build has RKR which is indeed busted if you know how to use it well and combine it with other buffs. But yea unbuffed ROB and dex-bleed is undoubtedly the most single most effective build in the entire game.
not really. you "pay" for your summon with your health(and put yourself in big risk right at the beginning). beside that the AI is sometimes dumb as fuck. Especially with malenia when the mimic basically runs into all of her AOEs and gives her free healing. a real human summon would try to avoid that.

It’s not even a risk when she’s at the other end of the arena slowly walking towards you lmao AND it doesn’t change how much HP Malenia has. Mimic is probably better than another player when you think about it as it has quadruple the health that it can tank for you. If another player tanked the WF they would die, leaving you to deal with her double HP.

Why would Marika fight you? She literally wanted you to succeed. She wanted both the cycle of the Erdtree, and the Greater Will's control over the Lands Between to come to an end. The only logical reading of the lore is that she and Radagon were/are two separate wills/two fragmented parts of the same mind, and while she wanted to break the Empyrean cycle, it was Radagon that wanted to rebuild the Elden Ring and preserve the cycle. Note that all the current-generation Empyreans were born AFTER Radagon made his presence known in the Lands Between. They are all his children. I would even go as far as to guess that Marika in fact placed the curses on Malenia and Miquella when they were born, in order to prevent them from ever rising to godhood.

her swords weapon art is good imo it's becomes really good at roll catching when people are panic rolling. tho is only like this when you have things like the rotten winged sword insignia
I'm sorry Ludwig, but comparing weapon of choice to summons as well as AoW is like comparing apples to oranges, it's r-word. Weapon of choice changes your play style and is an expression of skill and mastery over the games' combat. It's as simple as that, nothing more, nothing less. Summons give the boss an HP boost that increases the more people enter, as well as lowering the total stagger output % of the players based on the amount of players. AoW is broken when you compare it to summons, let's use Mimic Tear as an example. 600HP cost (Not a big cost), has the same equipment, weapons and hotbar as the player, as well as having the same amount of brainpower as 1.5 Ludwigs. To top it off, when maxed it it gets approximately 4-6x the summoner's Max HP (It's unknown of the exact value, it's based directly off HP, not Vigor). Wanna know the buff the boss gets? It's nothing. No HP boost, no poise damage reduction, nothing. You have a tool that has little cost that has massive gains, as the best way to use it is to just spam attacks with it. People who summon still have to have skill (most of the time) to beat the boss, while AoW incentives not learning the bosses and getting better at the game. "You cheated not only the game, but yourself. You didn't grow. You didn't improve. You took a shortcut and gained nothing. You experienced a hollow victory. Nothing was risked and nothing was gained. It's sad that you don't know the difference." I guess we know where the "L" in Ludwig came from, as you're clearly holding it.

Look, I don't want to be elitist about this, he mentioned the whole thing about unreasonable standards some people have, like "no summons", "no spells", "RL1 only" and "no buffs". First, however you play the game is fine don’t be stupid. Second, mimic is almost completely useless in this fight because it just runs into waterfowl and her consecutive strikes. RoB is a pretty Late game weapon so that makes sense why it’s as powerful as it is. Also people say everything needs a nerf. katana? Too good scaling and weapon art. Magic? Too much range and is too good. Halberds? Too much range. Shield? Shields too much.

Moonveil needed a nerf, first thing to get nerfed in 1.03 was Moonveil (it was a shadow nerf, stagger damage was reduced on the WA to discourage spam and that's about it). Mimic Tear needed a nerf - it got a direct nerf in 1.03 as well (AI patterns for summoned were altered to lower agro). Only thing people are asking FromSoft for a nerf on right now is Rivers of Blood, mostly because it's breaking the game balance and infesting PvP. Also, it's the weapon of choice for AFK farmers, and f**k AFK farmers. No-one is saying nerf spells. In fact the most ardent melee only players are happy almost every single freaking spell in the game at this point had been buffed, and they want more buffs. It's mostly buffs all around - Ultra's got buffed in 1.04, FAI spells got buffed in 1.04, half the weapon arts in the entire game got buffed in 1.04. Very, very, VERY few things in the game at this point have been nerfed, and most of them deserved it (gotta admit, Barricade getting nerfed on my STR/FAI Great Spear and Greatshield build stung a bit - Barricade's still plenty viable tho)

Some builds just work very well against certain bosses. Mimic tear just works well for every boss, it is the easy mode of Elden ring(like you said nothing wrong with that) Even easy mode took him 50 tries. The issue with her is her "hyper armor". she almost straggers from nothing beside ice and bleed. she even can cancel or counter attack her own moves(which is actually only a thing that sekiro bosses do. but in sekiro you also can cancel your own attacks, in elden ring you cant. so its a bit shitty designed because certain moves are undodgable this way because even if you hit her, she wont have a little stagger animation like every other enemy in the game but flows directly into a counter atk while your atk animation is still going.) Her atk structure is a bit too broken for this game. thats why using blood or ice build weapons is the only "fair" counter to her. is it much easier? yes.. is it "cheesy"? no. because this way she follows the same rules as every other boss in this game.

I still feel like a Bitch even if i would beat her becaus to realy beat her i would have to win way more often than she did so 50:1 doesnt feel like a victory, When you think about it its rather pathetic and to invest the time to get so good that you won more often than she did is kind of idiotic so that is a no win situation .....
