    Stevie Ray and Jeff met in Toronto when Jeff was 17. A friend of Jeff's had persuaded Albert Collins to let Jeff come up on stage and play when Albert was performing in Albert Hall. Stevie Ray happened to be in town at that time and Albert Collins got Stevie Ray to come down to Albert Hall and hear Jeff play. Stevie Ray and Albert Collins were key in introducing young Jeff to the music industry.

    I think my favorite performance by Jeff Healey is "See The Light" from a show called Night Music. It is an all-star lineup. Joining Jeff is Dr. John on piano, Marcus Miller on bass and Omar Hakim on drums. Amazing.

      @paulmorris8762 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      and another legend Marcus Miller slapping the bass. Jeff did a live acoustic duet with another phenomenal Canadian guitarist Colin James who also toured with SRV. Colin plays anything including jazz blues big band and raunchy rock

    Stevie was never afraid to share the stage. I believe he wanted to be a producer of sorts. He was an awesome man. Always loved watching others play. Especially his mentors. He always thought his brother was the best player ever. Such respect.

    “That boy Jeff Healey is a bad man”. Truer words have never been spoken. He might be the electric guitar blues goat. He might be. I saw him jam with Clapton the day before SRV died. RIP Jeff and Stevie.

    I saw the Jeff Healey Band open up from Stevie Ray Vaughan in 1989 at Alpine Valley, WI. This was the same venue where the tragic helicopter crash occurred one year later. Jeff has been my favorite artist ever since that day. RIP to both of those two amazing artists who have given me a lifetime full of enjoyment.

    Hey Devon! Discovered by the legendary jazz guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan in a Toronto bar in 1982, Healey released a string of albums over the next 20 years, including the 1988 Grammy-nominated “See the light,” with the hit single “Angel Eyes.”Mar 3, 2008. So Stevie was instrumental (No pun intended) in getting Jeff on the highway to his career.

  • @MickLoud999

    I must also add about Jeff's work ethic as well. I saw him play at an open mic around 1982 at the "Upper Lip" on Yonge St. Jeff would take the TTC to Yonge St and look for open mic nights to ply his trade. Some places turned him down but he kept coming back. I saw him 5-6 times in the early 80s' Sometimes we would hear him play while on a patio or walking down Yonge St. I even worked a gig he did at the Copa when I worked there setting up bands. RIP Jeff, you were the best

    It looked like Stevie was getting stank face from Jeff's solo ...❤❤❤ and then Stevie delivered as well and it looked like Jeff was getting off on that ... like they fed off each other!? That was awesome to watch and hear!!! One of the best duet solos I've ever seen and heard!!! Great reaction, I heard your jam in the beginning too, nice! ❤✌

It was amazing to see how different he did play the guitar. Not only the position but he also did use different chords that normal quitar players can not play. If you want another guitar legend that you probably don't know, try Rory Galagher.
