Chocolate Ganache- place 650g milk chocolate (I use Callebaut brand) with 300ml heavy cream into a microwaveable bowl. Microwave for 30 second intervals and mix the chocolate really well in-between until it is melted. Be careful not to burn or overheat your chocolate, your mixing should do most of the work of melting the choc. Once it has melted place plastic wrap directly ontop of the chocolate and let sit on the counter to set up, in the fridge if you need it asap. ganache is ready to use when it is at a peanut butter consistency.

Love this cake, shredded chocolate makes it look so real.. Just a option, For the ear muffs you could of covered round cake circles with fondant, then people can eat them and you don't waste so much fondant... If to soft,mix cake with frosting first then cover with fondant, cake pop ball
Thank you! Great suggestion for those who aren't a fan of fondant! I think those pink puffy marshmallow snowballs would work great as well! This cake was going for a long car ride and I didn't want to risk the muffs falling off so that's why I chose the fondant route☺️ do whatever fits your personal preference!

I drove with this and it was easy peasy! My cake was very small though so if you made it larger you may want to run a wooden dowel through the whole thing before adding the coconut

Soooooo cute!!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️ is there anything to use besides the coconut?
hmm I'm not sure if you could replace the coconut but you could just ice the whole thing with grey buttercream and either texture it with your spatula or use a piping tip to create fur texture. For the ear muffs and pom poms you could just use straight fondant and texture them with your fondant tool.
Try chopped up almonds. That's what I use since my mother has a coconut allergy.
