Thanks. Lots of good information here. The way I do it - if I'm bringing up a new character ... The first chance I get, even in the middle of the New Player Experience - is Dock up the Rookie ship Leave Ship Repackage Ship (don't do this to ships that have rigs) - and all your modules will go to the Items hangar Assemble Ship - and a Rookie ship will Assemble WITH a full set of Rookie stuff You now have two sets of Rookie stuff - so you can fit two miners or two guns I'll fit the two guns and go finish the NPE - where I'll be killing the rats twice as fast. Once I'm done with the NPE - I may do one of two things. I may go mine some Veldspar with two miners and sell it to get some cash so I can buy Skill Books I may go ahead and run the first two missions for the Industry Career Agent - where the second mission will get you a free Venture. Then I can repackage my Rookie ship and put the miners on the Venture. While I'm doing this - I want to train my basic drone skills - go to the market and look at the skills needed for the light scout drones you want to use - then buy those skill books. Once you've got your drones - you have the Miners Weapon and need not fear the run of the mil NPC's (which isn't to say there are those you do need to look out for) Now at this point you have the ability to make money and run those Career Agent Missions. The Career Agent Missions will give you a few things but - money - will let you buy what you want. The Combat Career Agent Missions and a few of the others will give you some really nice asteroids to mine in mission space. As long as you don't turn the mission in to the agent on completing it - the mission space will stay open - but - if you have turned in the mission (unless someone else is in there) it will close. Now here - we come to one of the advantages of Mining as a Career. EvE is designed to allow multiple copies of the game to run on the same computer. This means that if you have Omega Accounts - you can have more than one guy at the same time. Alphas will not let you do that. If you are a brand new player - new to the game - then you want to run all the Career Agent Missions first thing as they will teach you how to play the game. If this isn't your first character - then you have some options. Since I know how to play the game - I'll usually use the Venture to make some money first so I'll have enough to buy the skill books and modules I want (starting off with better miners for the Venture). The quickest way to do that - is the just mine the ore and sell it to a buyer. Later on - you can accumulate large amounts of ore and refine it or sell it with a sell order (instead of filling someone's buy order). One thing you can do - is to get some Veldspar (or whatever ore you prefer) in your hold and right click on it - then Show Market for that ore - once the market comes up look for the guy that is offering to buy it for the best price. Right click on that guy and select - Set Destination. You fly over there and then do mine and return, selling the ore to him each time you get back to his station. This way - you don't have to fool around with something more time consuming. There may not be a player refinery in that system - though sometimes there is. The point is - that you are going back and forth selling whatever the guy you selected is buying with each trip. This gives you cash in hand right now that you can use to buy your skill books, modules and ships. My Venture Fit: Highs EP-S Gausian (get Miner II's when you can) EP-S Gausian (get Miner II's when you can) Salvager or Tractor Beam Mids Ore Scanner Med. Shield Extender Small Shield Extender Low Mining upgrade - or - Damage Control Unit. The Salvager lets you salvage the rats your drones kill The Tractor Beam (IF you are mining in mission space) lets you jettison your ore into a jet can and tow it around with you so you don't have to go through the re-entry process for your mission space any more than you have to. Jet cans will last 2 hours. You can label them with the time so you know how long you've got - and then just move the contents to a new jet can. You can create a new jet can every now and again - but not really quick. Book mark the jet cans when you are done towing them around - then - after you turn in your mission - you can warp right to that book mark instead of having to come into the space at the entry point and then motor over there. Having an Industrial - helps with this a lot - so it's probably something you want to do later rather than sooner - but - those Combat Agent Missions have all those good rocks in them - so I do them last. Now - all that was starting out. Once you are more established - what I do - is look at the map showing Pilots In Space. Pick a quiet system in High Sec and see what Agents are there. You can get missions from Agents that have rocks in them. Run the mission, salvage the rats - then mine the rocks - all in Mission Space where you are relatively safe. Keep an eye on local and you DScan - as pointed out here. In addition to noting if there are destroyers - you can look out for Combat Scanner Probes - if you see those - dock up because it means someone is trying to scan you down. If you have an Omega Account - you can graduate from Ventures to Mining Barges. You can then also decide if you want to just be a miner and sell your ore (which you can do with Sell Orders) or if you want to refine the ore into minerals and become an industrialist manufacturing things. This requires a much more extensive bit of studying than I can handle here. Also be aware of the base refine rate of a station before you do that - some are much worse than others. Get a shuttle blue print to start out with - they're cheap and shuttles are handy. It is better to just sell the ore until your industry skills are up as you lose a lot of the value of the ore if they are not. Until then - just sell your ore and then buy what you need. .

still way too much isk to be worth it for a true newbro. No one is going to gank a venture but if they decide to you are dead anyway and an extra 2k ehp isn't going to save you. Might as well make yourself as cheap as possible . You can make a very lean fit for about 510,000 isk
You shouldn't be using the Medium F-S9 Compact Shield Extender in almost any circumstance. It's currently so overpriced compared to most alternatives - including tech 2 - that it's not worth it. Especially if you're not using rigs. You could literally have more shield by equipping a normal T1 shield extender with 1 shield extender rig - for a fraction of the price. The savings the compact extender gives are mostly for the powergrid, as Venture has plenty of cpu for things. I struggle to find a situation where you can't squeeze 2 cpu from somewhere else instead of paying over 5 million in premium.
Yup. But the meta chasers love them, only reason I see is maybe a fresh alpha with low skills but to aid your point, the cost would be so prohibitive for a new alpha
@@Hawkcelpa They're only that expensive due to low supply + all of the demand coming from specific fits in Faction Warfare. Basically people with billions of isk flying primarily frigates, sometimes you need the extra fitting space to use it on ships like a Worm, Succubus, Hawk or Harpy, Hookbill or other various shield frigates depending on your fits. So for them the cost isn't too big of a deal, especially since small ancillary armor repairers went from 6mil to 30k isk thanks to supply being buffed, so they surely have the isk to spare elsewhere lol.
how do you bring your scanning window over from another monitor? or do you just have your screen stretched to both and we just dont c that part? or is there a trick that im not aware of? i have 2 monitors and use the other one for discord and killboard and so so, but i would love to be able to put my scanners over there also, withought having to strech the game window to both monitors?
Hay Glen, Go into the window options you can stretch it across two screens then change the center 50% (ish) to the left or right (depending on where your main monitor is). I only show one screen and have the rest of the BUMF on the other lol.
Rule no 1 should be that you should not bother with mining at all when you're an alpha. The laughable ISK per hour is just not worth it, compared to other money-making stuff you can do. Stick to station trading for passive money-making and exploration for active money-making as an alpha.
if you wanna get into mining, this ship and hs in general are utterly trash. just my mining drones on an barge have higher yield then this ship in total. if you as new player joine a nullsec mining corp, they can provide you with better mining ship and mining boost aswell. a covetor with full 60% rorq mining boost can do rougly 65m3 /sec, so basicly about 11 times faster then a venture, and gives a profit of about 40-50 mill an hour. allso rocks in hs are max around 5-6k m3 each. in ns they are everything between 50k mk3 and 500k. and yes, ns can be a scary place, but if you learn how to be safe, it is quite safe overall, and when you make 40mill an hour, its not that big of a deal to loose 60mill mining ship now and then, cause you make that isk back in no time
@@goldeneagle256 well considering i have very recently started the game. And plan on focusing on mining. Ill take note of this too. I just got the proc. So eventually ill get up there.
@@viperzero8 you should. im fairly new to game as well, but have 3 accounts. 1 orca booster and 2 procurers. with those i can do 400k m3 ice an hour and make about 150 mill an hour on that. or if you dont feel that safe you can use porp instead, that have just as good boost, but cost 10% of an orca. when im out in this, even if i should be so unlucky to loose everying, it gonna cost me about 250 mill to replace everything, and when you make 140 mill an hour, its less then 2 hour to make the isk back, witch means its really not that big of a deal. my worst mining ship loss so far are a 60mill barge, and those i loose when i dont really pay attention to local. allso if you into indie stuff, and wanna start do PI aswell, thats alot better to do in ns, cause here you dont pay taxes on it as you do in hs. was first when i moved down to ns i really started making isk, so think about it, and the sooner the better :p
@@goldeneagle256 i have been looking into creating a second account. But i have no idea how to go about it. I need a shuttle rig until i can get something that can just hold a whole field. Lol.
If this is covering alpha mining, maybe make a follow up video showing mining in a battleship? It's far faster for alpha clones especially if your in a fleet and have someone doing transport
am i missing the part of the video were you can get a FREE mining ship with most basic things just by following an AGENT tutorial Because this Vidio is for a NEW player ?
All good. I have to look to see where cursor goes. I'm on day 5 now kinda getting the feel for game. Still big scardy cat lol. The overview window is more a map than the map
Beginners Alpha setup? Medium Shield Extender? Meduim F-S9 Regolith Compact Shield Extender, average price 5 million! Just say-yin' its a bit OTT. Lol.
@@DisownedHero I've been doing a lot of mining, solo. I might feel 5 billion is a long way off, due to the way I want to play. I've got 28 million and probably that much easily again in compressed mining raw materials yet to be sold. Obviously, upgrading to Omega will be the next step for me.
@@Pro-Flight-Simulatorcouk yeah mining solo in a venture is not the fastest way of making isk. See if you can find a nice corp that offeres moons to mine with mining boosts ect to help increase your isk per hour
Us Newbros are hated hard by many... I’m beginning to think winning guru players are Cheats. However, I still can’t mine *this* material because my laser isn’t the *right* shit. Well. I think this game is demanding, especially considering the microcosm of specialized and specific equipment. I think I’m going blind.
This game does have a very steap learning curve but honestly it gets easier. Try and find a good new player corp they will be able to help you understand things better and help with fits ect and generally help get the best experiance out of this game quicker than doing it alone.
Hay Scottie, Player owned stations have different icons on the overview, NPC stations are squares player ones are different. Look in the description of the overview. NPC ones are simply called station, player ones will tell you the type of structure so azbel or keepstar ect. Lastly if you show the info of the station it will tell you how controls it. Hope that helps :)
got ganked to half my shield health and escaped just in the nick of time from a red player in null sec. with a venture that was worth 600,000 isk. red players wont care attack you regardless so be carful
Hay, Yeah in null sec anyone will attack a mining ship if it looks defenceless. Its high sec that you will find people wont really priorities a venture as a target as there ship is probably worth alot more than the venture and concord will destroy it lol
sitting in .8 space with my covetor and my retriever ... yep there're definatly npc but .. erm my hobbo's are dealing it with ease xD Just set: aggro and focused to them :P and why 'm three'? Those thingies are called cubic meters xD
Hi .... so as a new player of a few days... This video is NOT good. Please update it or remake it using an actual new character so you can see why you need to redo this video. New players don't have the money or skills to fit their ship like your 'newbro' example... don't start where you started from, and can't use drones like you are... and don't need to buy the ship... Complete newbro vid should be "Did you finish the tutorial? Great go straight to the Career missions because you get a free exploration ship, 2 free ventures (the mining ship in this video for new peeps reading this) 2 free combat ships, and a free hauler.... You also get free ship equipment to get you started.... *** as a brand new player you don't need to buy a single thing to fit your ship yet.... you also get a nice chunk of ISK (the ingame currency) to get you started. CAREER MISSIONS NewBro's !!!! THEN if you want come back and watch this video
You can only travel between Hek and Rens due to triglavian invasions if you avoid invasions traveling between or to Jita, Amarr and/or Didixe you end up with in 4 or 5 low sec systems Do Not try flying in these systems in a T1 hauler, a miner, a Freighter, bowhead or an Orca. I have tried picking and setting way points for hours on the map to get around them so far no luck.. Had 5 subed accounts now down to 2 and am about to unsub them, I have billions in trade items I can not move to the markets they need to be in. I buy with 6 or more alphas in or around every trade hub. Picking up at hubs with a Freighter. I have 2 T1 haulers trapped in dead end system I stayed over night in with an invasion blocking the exit This sucks and alphas will probably not stay in the game with the limited travel caused by the triglavian virus from another CCP.... 6 years of my retirement wasted! Guess I'll get a part time job or look for a new game.
@@hombreseta4786 the problem with your fit is zero tank and cargo flipping...I garantee you to be ganked in high sec. With maxed alpha skills you can do decent numbers but you still need jet-canning: means nullsec or wh.

Can you please edit or delete this video? do you realize you send so many new player in rookie help chat asking where to compress and they think early game they are gonna make money off it, and that is not true. I mean it literally several people per day.... thanks my dude!

Fit an afterburner, it wil get you to your rock faster. Also there are very cheap rigs that will add some speed and agility.
Do drones automatically will defend me if they out in a spaсe, if any one attacked me, or i need to lock on target and send them to attack ?
They will automatically attack anyone attacking you that is within their range, just don't forget to return them to the drone Bay before you warp out!
Thanks for the guide. This Helped :) Also I LOVE you Hair! ;)
Thanks... I needed this
Sorry dude I already started my account with another persons link but thank you very much for this tutorial. :)
Hay your welcome and honestly it's fine don't worry about using the link. It doesn't really affect me to much but does help new players out with extra skill points ect 🙂

i apply mining module, don't have active "fit ship" button and when close window don't show the module ... how mining ? BUG !
Is Veldspar still good I don’t think it pays as good as rich plagecilase
Hi, so I went to simulate ship and added all the mods etc but when going to multi0 buy and fit out ship none of the items where available. I can find them but they are dotted around alot of different places. How do I fit a full ship from one location? is that having an advance skill tree?
you need to go to places where they actually sell everything. There are some stations that have become trade hubs like Jita 4.
half price - more tank - less suicide ganking

still way too much isk to be worth it for a true newbro.
Hay Glen,
Go into the window options you can stretch it across two screens then change the center 50% (ish) to the left or right (depending on where your main monitor is). I only show one screen and have the rest of the BUMF on the other lol.
I already set up an account a few days ago how can I get extra skill points?
wow one of the best vids, great job :)
OMG THANKE YOU SOOO MUTCH THIS IS SOOO HELPFUL :DDDDDDD
i would add prop instead a resist.... rats cant hit u if u sig tank them and youre faster to the ores
Rule no 1 should be that you should not bother with mining at all when you're an alpha. The laughable ISK per hour is just not worth it, compared to other money-making stuff you can do. Stick to station trading for passive money-making and exploration for active money-making as an alpha.
Awesome video man. Just got back into eve. The 1mil training points is a big help! Wen ahead and got omega too so you’d get a few more rewards
Much appreciated :) omega is so much better than being alpha anyways in my opinion :)
@@DisownedHero agreed
I remember when you could buy and fit a Venture for not much more than a mil, what happened?!?
Miss Hero....love the character name!
:P thanks
can Alpha accounts use Hobgoblin Drones?
Thank you for this much needed knowledge. I have been doing a few things the hard way. This helps a ton!
if you wanna get into mining, this ship and hs in general are utterly trash. just my mining drones on an barge have higher yield then this ship in total. if you as new player joine a nullsec mining corp, they can provide you with better mining ship and mining boost aswell. a covetor with full 60% rorq mining boost can do rougly 65m3 /sec, so basicly about 11 times faster then a venture, and gives a profit of about 40-50 mill an hour. allso rocks in hs are max around 5-6k m3 each. in ns they are everything between 50k mk3 and 500k. and yes, ns can be a scary place, but if you learn how to be safe, it is quite safe overall, and when you make 40mill an hour, its not that big of a deal to loose 60mill mining ship now and then, cause you make that isk back in no time
@@goldeneagle256 well considering i have very recently started the game.
Lol.
Also whats PI?
thanks for guide
If this is covering alpha mining, maybe make a follow up video showing mining in a battleship? It's far faster for alpha clones especially if your in a fleet and have someone doing transport
covetor with full 60% rorq support are about 10 times faster then this venture. why anyone bother vasting time in those ships are beyond me
is this still up2date?
am i missing the part of the video were you can get a FREE mining ship with most basic things just by following an AGENT tutorial Because this Vidio is for a NEW player ?
You can get a free venture. This video covers the actual task of mining rather than missions you can do to get a mining ship
I used do fit civilian Light missile launcher in the venture before discovering the drones lol
Can you edit a streak behind mouse cursor. So many tabs ahhhh and buttons
i have seen people use different cursers and animations for that tbh but I wouldnt know where to start for that sorry
All good. I have to look to see where cursor goes. I'm on day 5 now kinda getting the feel for game. Still big scardy cat lol. The overview window is more a map than the map
Thanks for the help man
alpha venture can tractor beam asteroids?
I mean it looks like a tractor beam but it's a mining beam
hey thanks alot for this video
Thanks
Im ammar and cant find refinery. Im in pasha 3
hay, If its a player owned structure you may need to change your overview to show player sturctures.
Do you still play bro?
I like your accent. Makes you sound like an actual space pilot. Lol
Ha ha thanks :P
Beginners Alpha setup? Medium Shield Extender? Meduim F-S9 Regolith Compact Shield Extender, average price 5 million! Just say-yin' its a bit OTT. Lol.
people keep saying this. It could be because I have been playing a while but 5 bil for a modual is not particularly expensive.
I think I’m going blind.
i love the game but it real hard to play the game they need to make it easier for beginners
This game does have a very steap learning curve but honestly it gets easier. Try and find a good new player corp they will be able to help you understand things better and help with fits ect and generally help get the best experiance out of this game quicker than doing it alone.
yay miner stuff!
I would like you to do a video on real mining if you are up for it. Message me back thanks.
How do you know if it’s player owned station?
Hay Scottie, Player owned stations have different icons on the overview, NPC stations are squares player ones are different.
Look in the description of the overview. NPC ones are simply called station, player ones will tell you the type of structure so azbel or keepstar ect.
Lastly if you show the info of the station it will tell you how controls it.
Hope that helps :)
managed to survive the tutorial. now i cant find asteroid belts with actual asteroids in them. lol.
If you're looking in a popular system, you might not have much luck finding ore.
Someone did gank me on a venture. Sad.
Gaussian = gau · see · an
i am to step in but when i see this its chinees for me
got ganked to half my shield health and escaped just in the nick of time from a red player in null sec. with a venture that was worth 600,000 isk. red players wont care attack you regardless so be carful
Hay, Yeah in null sec anyone will attack a mining ship if it looks defenceless. Its high sec that you will find people wont really priorities a venture as a target as there ship is probably worth alot more than the venture and concord will destroy it lol
I got a mining laser but can't jump to jita cuz there's more than 50 player in there and im playing eve echoes btw not this one
hmm ive actually not played eve echoes. Whats your thoughts on it? worth ago?
This ship is way to expensive for any new player to get...
0.8 you get one npc
TOO WIT TOO WOO?
Mining kernite in high sec net me 6mill perhour
the ruwend the mining in this game
0.5 is ganking territory
It is and not impossible to be ganked whilst in a venture but very unlikely. Gankers tend to go for higher value stuff like t2 mining ships
@@DisownedHero I got ganked 3 times on my second day playing EVE while mining in a venture in 0.7 space lol
sitting in .8 space with my covetor and my retriever ... yep there're definatly npc but .. erm my hobbo's are dealing it with ease xD
Just set: aggro and focused to them :P
and why 'm three'? Those thingies are called cubic meters xD
why nobody says newbies about boom jita and other shit stuff? :D
Hi .... so as a new player of a few days...
What about table candles Bob?
You sound like a noob
The for the 1 mill

@@hombreseta4786 the problem with your fit is zero tank and cargo flipping...I garantee you to be ganked in high sec. With maxed alpha skills you can do decent numbers but you still need jet-canning: means nullsec or wh.
Ad in some shield boosters and hardeners. And some drones...I use another acount with a miasmos...If some poeple try to gank you use a mobile depot to refit it fast to pvp.Already tried it and it worked.
Can you please edit or delete this video? do you realize you send so many new player in rookie help chat asking where to compress and they think early game they are gonna make money off it, and that is not true. I mean it literally several people per day.... thanks my dude!
do you think this guy knows what "m3" means?
Meters cubed. Its a measurment of space in a 3 dimensional area

Why can't you speak english?
