Hunting that same covert in Backus Creek this year with my 10 month old English Cocker pup I had great success on woodcock and even managed to find a few grouse back in the Tag Adler edges in the early season.

Hey Shug, you're right. Capturing any good footage on a ruffed grouse hunt is not easy. My wife and I did capture some dog work on our recent hunt at Tim Pond Camps in Maine. Be sure to watch for that episode.
