      this is the same that happened with youtubers and slot channels. it took time with some casino's to allow filming. some still don't allow it. people need to call ahead and confirm what the rules are. you can always ask. the only thing they can do is say no. and work with them slowly.

      Just wanted to say I'm glad you guys got some resolution AND are working with MSC to try to get a compromise between all travelers involved!!
      In the US, those caravans look like what we call "mobile homes." Unfortunately, many people here look down on mobile homes; they don't know what they're missing!!! They can be BEAUTIFUL!!! Just like tiny homes!!!
      Congrats on selling the house!! I can't wait to buy one! And I think it would great if you guys let us see your house hunt. A little "international HGTV" from Ben and David!!

    They were only terrified because almost every TH-cam cruise channel reported it. Every day my feed had a new video of someone reporting about what happened to you guys. So millions of people were aware. I’m glad that at the end everything worked out.

      Agreed. I struggle with this though. Of course they were nice, they rely on paid TH-cam content. Suggested it was some on board ‘going rogue’ with the treatment you received. I would prefer you stood by some principles and just not engaged with them. Sacked them off. You’re part of their positive PR now. Doesn’t sit right. I think we’ve seen the real MSC

      While i partially agree with this I also see it from the other side. Any large company is going to have issues with employees not handling things properly on occasion. No matter how much training you are going to have new employees or employees having a bad day. Dealing with the public is not easy. Most clients are great, but there are some that are completely vile, and if you're not careful those people can taint your mood. I never judge a company on these bad employee interactions, I judge the company on their reaction to it or in some cases non reaction.

      This is my problem with the situation. The only reason this was rectified was because of the publicity that it got. Had Ben and David just been everyday cruisers or TH-camrs who were lesser known, this wouldn't have been resolved in this manner. For this reason I will not cruise with MSC until I know this is the rule and not the exception.

      Exactly! Normal cruisers wouldn't have that apology. Never going to spend a penny with MSC - had two cruises planned with them next year. But not going to take them now.

    MSC got called on their BS. They better be horrified at those who said you couldn’t even take pictures of each other. MSC is just doing damage control and, as a former travel agent, I never booked them. Damage is done. You guys are the classiest.❤️

    I am disabled, usually solo and can't risk having unsympathetic staff giving me grief. I don't think I could ever go where I can't be confident of a gentle and professional reception. Celebrity and NCL have always been good to me. It would take a great deal to get me to risk my health on MSC. Good luck lads. You _can_ make a difference. All the best.

      Also try Royal Caribbean. Very good with solo disable cruisers. Happy sailing and creating many memories.

      I am disabled and a solo cruiser, too. Living in Europe meant to start cruising with MSC or COSTA. In the meantime I know several smaller ships of the MSC fleet and have a "Diamond" status. The staff was always kind and friendly.

      I'm also disabled and my experience on Celebrity was so far superior to all the other lines I've tried, that I'm sticking with Celebrity only going forward! I've been cruising since the late 1980's and Celebrity is the only line I trust as a disabled person. They even built me a special ramp to get my wheelchair out on the deck! That was wonderfully kind and unexpected of them! Can't wait to go on my next voyage! 🚢🎉

      Thank you all for your kind words. Royal Caribbean is now on my radar for future consideration. Please note that my disabilities are invisible. Without getting too personal, I have what amounts to a traumatic brain injury that only reveals itself when 'stress tested'. Meaning no one can tell until it's too late. Happy trails everyone.

      I am a cancer patient and my husband has severe leg problems. We let MSC know this before our NYE Cruise on the Divina and requested wheelchair embarkation. We are platinum on Carnival and have only taken a few RCCL and NCL cruises and they have been extremely wonderful. MSC however almost put my husband and myself in the hospital because of the horrible lines we had to wait in before getting to the wheelchair line. Then, there were so many severely disabled people who had been waiting hours to get a wheelchair, we decided just to walk slowly. Again, after 25 plus cruises, the lines were the worst! They are NOT handicap friendly! Never again- this was just a poor start to a horrible cruise from beginning to end.

    A smart cruise line would cast you guys in two videos -- 1) crew training of how to deal with vloggers and 2) passenger training for how to be a considerate vlogger on a ship.

    It was actually refreshing to see that MSC Corporate replied, apologized, reimbursed you and asked for your input to write up the policy, training for their fleet. I’d say you opened a lot of eyes in the cruise industry. Congrats on your upcoming move and David, I hope your tooth is doing so much better now!!

I’m saying the family who have been interviewed many times have themselves expressed that no real investigation was done, Disney simply told them a story that was completely implausible and contradicted by what her colleagues / friends said, given a bunch of flowers and the ship was on its way case closed.

    I recognized you on a small ship cruise last year, and even knowing who you were and what you were doing, I never saw you get in anyones way, bother or annoy anyone. You were completely courteous, unobtrusive and seemed to make a point of not filming anymore than an enthusiastic tourist would. Keep it up.

    The guys handled it so well. They published the video- which was a positive review until they got booted. They didn’t destroy MSC on the video.
    I trust Ben’s and David;s content more now. They’re honest.

      B&D did handle the situation well but they weren’t “booted” they chose to disembark early as they weren’t allowed to film and that’s what they were onboard to do.

    Some people don’t care for influencers. No point in trying to change that opinion. For me, you guys are fantastic. I feel like I get a free vacation every time I watch your videos. Keep it going! You give people a lot of joy.

      I'd probably be uncomfortable around them while filming, simply because their filming personas seem to be the really extroverted Infectious! Boisterous! Energy! sort that like... for my personality being around people like that for extended periods of time is exhausting. But it's not like they're the only people in the world who do that! And anyone who is going on a vacation in a place where other people are going on vacation should do so with the understanding that it's not just about them. If people near you are being too chattery and excitable, that's a you problem, not a them problem.

      @@paulready8897 That is going much too far. The crew were doing what they thought was their job, but were obviously not trained in this field. Retraining is enough for this incident. And as for hoping to destroy somebody's lives by having them sacked, especially at this time with so many people looking for jobs is pure evil.

      @@darranbeal5947 TBH I don't think a crew member, if not trained specifically for how to deal with vloggers should need special training for how to be firm but polite versus aggressive and rude. I agree though, retraining probably a better solution. It's possible they were having a bad day as well and their normal demeanour is a lot more professional and friendly

    I would absolutely love to see you boys do a cross Canada east coast to West coast RV trip! I'm sure a lot of your Canadian fans would be happy to put you up for the night or let you park on their property or in their drive.     Thank for the MSC Update. I've cruised with them 3 times and never had an issue with filming using either my phone or small Canon camera. (I am not a content creator, just a vacationer!). I was hesitant to book with them again thinking I'd be feeling squeamish taking photos on board. I can't imagine vacationing without taking photos! It's good to know that won't be an issue going forward.

    As someone who has lived in Italy, this isn’t so shocking. Sorry it happened to you. I took MSC for my first cruise in 2010. It was fine - I was ok being one of the few Americans given I spoke the language and knew the people. Took another in 2018 and it almost turned me off cruising.

    From Baltimore, MD USA. Moving is a beast!!! I am retired and have just downsized from a 1500 Sq. Ft. house to a 650 sq. ft. apartment. I am still clearing out the house, but just about to put it on the market. Houses are in demand in this area here, so I won't have any problem selling it. Getting rid of 40 years of stuff has been the hardest part. Good luck on house hunting. The twins are so cute.

    I think that it is great that MSC might learn and become better because of the two of you. For me I still have no desire to give MSC and of my money when there are so many other cruise lines and ships to explore.

    I’m a longtime subscriber but I don’t comment often (always 👍🏼) but I wanted to say I’m happy to hear MSC has refunded and are making steps to institute changes going forward with video and photo taking on their ships. I’ve never considered your vlogs to be intrusive to other passengers, actually, I don’t even ever notice them because you are so respectful to keep the focus on you guys or the content your sharing. When people are in the shot, they are in the background and not the feature so I don’t really ever notice them because I’m focused on what you’re sharing, but enough of that. Loving the caravan and the beautiful seaside holiday. Your caravan is spacious, modern, and lovely. Thanks for giving a grand tour. Your nephews are absolutely precious and seemed to enjoy being on the vlog. Thank you! Looking forward to your next adventure!

    In the USA we call that a double wide home. I live in one full time. A caravan to us is a camper that you drive or pull with a vehicle. A double wide isn't moved around like a camper.

    We love your videos and they help us make some decisions. I was not happy you were not allowed to film on MSC, but so happy they made it right. I was thinking of this particular MSC cruise because of that video you made, but was unhappy how you were treated. We sail regularly on HAL (our favorite cruise line), we fell in love with DCL too and have a number of DCL cruises booked (but you really have to love Disney), and we love RCL. We were intrigued by MSC, but were turned off until that last video. We also are interested in Virgin as well. Thank you for all you do and your sensitivity and empathy when you do film!

      Theres a big difference tho between american trailer parks which tend to be low to very low income housing and a mess and caravans in the UK set up for vacations.

      I live in a manufactured home in Oregon! I absolutely love it ❤️ it’s just as good as a regular home and cost me a lot less and I got to design everything!

    I love your alls cruise videos, but I loved getting to see you be more casual in this vlog and getting to spend time with your family. The boys were so cute, I think it’s sweet that they want to be apart of your videos and support the channel! Also, I think it would be so interesting to see some moving vlogs as well.     I took my American husband and children on their first British caravan holiday in Devon last year, they had as much fun as they had on cruises we’ve been on. Caravan holidays as a kid are some of my favourite holidays.

    I’m glad that MSC is training their entire ships and crew that is needed.
    Also, I’m happy to see when you film you you do not interrupt other passengers enjoyment on the ship.
    . I noticed when I was for the first time in blue Lagoon in Iceland a few months ago that there were many TH-camrs but of course, maybe some of them were not TH-camrs and they were actually in the water going back-and-forth filming and I was just trying to relax in the water, of course now blue lagoon is closed because of the volcanic eruptions

    I am glad to hear that MSC and you reached a mutually beneficial agreement and resolved the issue. I am a photographer (strictly a hobby) and love taking photos of my journeys. However, I can absolutely understand and respect that certain people really do not want to be photographed. Why they don't want to be photographed is none of my business. They don't. Enough said. In this video, vlogging, Facebook, TicToc, and Instagram existence of ours, where it seems that every mundane happenstance needs to be on video, it's almost as if people don't have the right to ask for privacy any longer. I am very relieved to know that you recognize people's right to not be photographed if they don't want to be. A lot of TH-camrs and bloggers unfortunately do not respect the privacy of others. There has to be a balance.

      I’ve gotta admit that I agree with you there. While I understand that there’s no expectation of privacy when you’re out in public, I still think it’s good manners to avoid recording or taking photos of random people going about their daily lives or holiday or whatever.
      It’s one of the reasons why I enjoy videos from these guys; they make an effort to be subtle and respectful of the privacy of other passengers aboard or when they’re out on trips.

    It’s good that they’re doing training for this. You guys may not have been causing a real nuisance but we all know that there are people out there with cameras who absolutely will, so how do you deal with that? How do you deal with an irate passenger complaining about people filming even if those people are being very discreet and respectful? Glad they’re implementing training and hopefully they work well with you guys to come out with guidelines for passengers wanting to film (beyond the level of regular vacation photos and videos) so everyone can be on the same page. Given all of that you’ll still get people who are not happy about something and you just have to do your best to be respectful and give them space. It’s a balance for sure.

    I am glad MSC is implementing new training - the rules of what's best practice looks like have to catch up with technology & society just like the law.

    ahhh the old gross foam mattress on the collapsed kitchen table is a very particular memory 😂 we did something similar in Australia, only it was normally 35' so you spent 0 time inside unless you were sleeping 😅 all time was spent in the pool / beach or under the awning, which had a concrete floor if you were lucky, although it was often dirt or sand.
    can't wait to go on another cruise 😂😂😂😂 no dirt balcony

    I wish MSC would actually pay attention to us. We were on the MSC Armonia and we were delayed due to MSC allowing people on board whose visa’s turned out to be fake. Due to this delay we missed 5 ports. But that was not the worst part of this cruise. We were constantly lied to and gaslighted every time we tried to get a resolve with any issue. we were double charged for an excursion the only port we stopped at. We had to stand in line for an hour to be told that they would refund by the next day. The next day it still was not refunded so we had to stand in line for an hour again. We add issues with our internet and we were told that we should not expect to have internet in our cabin. We paid $400 for internet they said we had to use in public places only. On the day before we were to disembark we asked about an excursion that was listed as a transfer to st marks square that we had booked prior to getting onboard to make sure it was as listed online because we saw it listed as something different in the ships itinerary. So we stood in line to be told that we were in fact going to be stopped off in st mark’s square with our luggage like we understood. Fast forward to the next morning we were told that that person was wrong and we were not going to be dropped off with our luggage. We were going to go on a 4 hour tour of at marks square and then taken to the port. They refused to refund. We took the ship farry to the port. After the cruise it took them 6 hours to locate all of our luggage. MSC customer service lacks training and has issues communicating between each department. Several times we were told that we needed to stand in a different line to get a resolution on a issue we had just stood in a different line for. Now that we are home they have told us that post cruise services must be emailed. We have emailed them 10 days ago with no response. We have called them and they have said they will escalate this but im not holding my breath. And as i read other peoples comments on their facebook page i am not alone.

    Iam New to your channel. I feel so much more confident booking a holiday after seeing youtuber creating honest information around holidays / cruise ships.
