      @drjonesey5 ปีที่แล้ว +236

      They do, you just don't see it on camera like this and I mostly believe smaller businesses do because they appreciate their emplpyees more. My company gives bonuses during holidays that increase every year and they've boosted me without asking from $11.75 an hour 6 yrs ago to $23.00 hr.
      You have no idea how much the pay change over time changed my life and perspective. I onlu have a H.S. diploma because I left college to work so it's a blessing. They tell me how much they appreciate me every month and in 1yr they will give me a raise again.
      I believe stuff like this happens to many people, we just don't see it.

    • @law35penn
      @law35penn ปีที่แล้ว

      @@drjonesey5 we hear alot of greedy ceo's. How they get millions and millions while the ppl on floor bust their asses. Good example, walmart. They took their bonuses away from their employees but left it for the managers which they already made alot money. But the ppl on floor gets nothing. You can't be up there if you don't have the ppl on the bottom doing the right things. Taking their rewards away is not going to help. I've been with a company for over 20yrs and I got to select crappy, cheap, dollar products from a catalog.

      In the medical field: Smaller practices tend to have a better understanding of employee appreciation. Larger hospitals are run like businesses only and they do the absolute bare minimum to keep staff happy. The hospital I work at has a high turnover of doctors and nurses and they almost always go to some smaller practice group after 3-4 years with the hospital.

      I work in home health care. Sometimes it can be a thankless job since HC doesn't get the reimbursements that Nursing/Assisted living gets. But the management at the Company are always giving gift cards and thank you cares with cash in them. They don't do it for everyone but for years I have always been willing to go in when no one would or could (winter is rough here). The little things mean more than the lower pay we get. I make between $5-$11/hour less than if I worked elsewhere. But you honestly, Nursing homes and assisted living facilities are there for money only and truly abuse the employees and people they are meant to care for.

      @@rays3868 😢😭 I wish life wasn’t viewed this way. People should be treated like family in the truest sense and not a number, an item to be thrown away and replaced. I suffer from so much work abuse and am terribly depressed because of it ( covid destroyed my confidence in finding a better job too). My personality at work has done a 180 degree and its visibly obvious to everyone, yet no member of management asks how I am, but rather chastise my lack of performance and nit pick everything about myself.
      As a child I viewed this life with so much possibility and wonder; ANYTHING was possible I told my young self, but in my 35 years on this planet I have seen so much corruption, hate, violence, sickness and perversion of love that I no longer see that wonder and possibility that once emanated from my being. This world COULD be such a beautiful place if everyone was shown and gave love and respect instead of greed and apathy. I wish you all the best.
