I do not think it was about the money, but it was the best way to show their gratitude toward her as being special,
This is just my opinion not anyone else's
She's a great employee because she works under great bosses.
Only excellent employees get this kind of blessing.
And REAL bosses see the value in their employees.
Congratulations ALL around.
So she was working there for 20 years and she actually got an award , this is so wholesome I don’t think most people or most companies would do this
Most companies couldn't afford it but everyone in the dentistry field is loaded.
dont need an award when you're getting yearly pay rises
Yes! , some companies do. Profit sharing , 401k , Raffles , bonus ... they are there😉
I work for a newer company, only 15 years old. Anyways, we had our first employee hit 10 years this year. The company owner gave him a letter at a meeting and it grants a voucher for the employee to take a 2 week vacation to anywhere in the world. He'll pay for a flight and separately a hotel stay up to 5k in value. Anything beyond that, and the 10 year vet will have to pay it himself. Some companies do nice things, this is definitely the only place I've enjoyed working
She must be a real sweetheart for them to appreciate her so grandly. Congratulations to the entire team for creating a workspace everyone would love
Ah.. I got £100 in vouchers for ten years. I must be less of a sweetheart lol 😂❤

It's beautiful that they saw how hard and how long she worked. Amazing bosses! And a more amazing employee!!🎉
I just love when a boss shows genuine appreciation for an employee. Beautiful.
If it was genuine they wouldn’t have made sure it was filmed and spread throughout social media so they could gain massive social credit for filming themselves giving a black women money. I’d bet my house they had never done this with any other employee, especially one who’s white.. the social credit garnered from filming yourself giving a white person a bunch of money so you can spread it on social media is nowhere near that of a black women.

Yes they really showed their appreciation. Plus she helped make some of that money for the last 20 YEARS
That’s a poor excuse. They have made millions using her services. Why not pay her commensurate with her contribution instead of crumbs from the table?

So incredible that they know her worth. For me After 15 years at same employment the boss didn’t even come to my goodbye potluck. She didn’t say goodbye, and I really understood that I could be replace with a younger person who knew half or less of what I knew. That’s why I tell people family first, work second because no one will miss you more than your own family.

yes and you cannot make up for the Lost years of basketball games and other things with your children because you dedicated yourself to a job who didn't appreciate you in the end! Always made it my business to put family first and I never regretted it not one time!
I’m glad you said that… I just spent 9 year at the same mental health agency. Yes I received several promotions throughout they years. Until management changed and a lot of great therapist left due to be short staffing and over working there current employees. My health has begun to decline as well as mental exhaustion. Upon my exit I realized I was just another number. 😢 family definitely comes 1st
I work in home health care. Sometimes it can be a thankless job since HC doesn't get the reimbursements that Nursing/Assisted living gets. But the management at the Company are always giving gift cards and thank you cares with cash in them. They don't do it for everyone but for years I have always been willing to go in when no one would or could (winter is rough here). The little things mean more than the lower pay we get. I make between $5-$11/hour less than if I worked elsewhere. But you honestly, Nursing homes and assisted living facilities are there for money only and truly abuse the employees and people they are meant to care for.
@@rays3868 😢😭 I wish life wasn’t viewed this way. People should be treated like family in the truest sense and not a number, an item to be thrown away and replaced. I suffer from so much work abuse and am terribly depressed because of it ( covid destroyed my confidence in finding a better job too). My personality at work has done a 180 degree and its visibly obvious to everyone, yet no member of management asks how I am, but rather chastise my lack of performance and nit pick everything about myself.
As a child I viewed this life with so much possibility and wonder; ANYTHING was possible I told my young self, but in my 35 years on this planet I have seen so much corruption, hate, violence, sickness and perversion of love that I no longer see that wonder and possibility that once emanated from my being. This world COULD be such a beautiful place if everyone was shown and gave love and respect instead of greed and apathy. I wish you all the best.
