This song sounds so much better live than the Kaleidoscope version. And I agree, John's guitar needed some more flanged out neo-psychedelic volume (and possibly some echo). Other than that, this kicks ass.
Wow, this is the loudest I’ve heard for this concert!!!! REALLY LOUD, ACTUALLY!!!! This sounds like when I was a kid and headphones used to SHATTER your eardrums because they were so loud!!!
The studio version is great but tame when compared to this menacing live version. Budgie is driving a faster tempo using his snare drum with Severin powering the rhythm using a flanged bass. Leaving the late great John McGeoch space to create a jagged atonal soundscape. As a guitar player its awesome to see him in action playing open strings and adjusting his trusty mic mounted flanger on the fly. Over the sinister aural backdrop, the mighty Siouxsie is holding court centre stage. What an epic band they were.
What's so funny/ironic is, that would have been an unnatural/unheard of thing in 1981. The only people that belonged onstage were the musicians and the singer(s). Now, everything's the opposite.
John McGeoch ti adoro!!!
This is my favourite use of a flanger pedal, ever. RIP John Mcgeogh, you were great.
There is nothing else like this. Amazing.
God. I love this band ♥️
Love Steve's flanged bass,,,,,,pure class!!!
This is superior than the album version. John deserved more volume!
Nothing is better than these banshees
Man I just love this incredible irreplaceable band ❤️ the more i listen the more absorbed in their wonderful music i become.
Me too and so happy she's coming to Lattitude. Can't wait to see her

Severins baseline...just awsome!

It appears he's adjusting the sound himself, maybe he didn't want to overdo it

Siouxsie is smokin hot here. On fire she is.
She's always been hot. In love with her ever since I first heard the Banshees
Sizzles...
Just pure brilliance and insanity
Happy birthday siouxsie x

Epic.
McGeoch = Guitar God
FAb!
Anyone know what Flanger they're using? Maybe MXR?
Robert R - Pretty sure John used an MXR.
wait no lip synch back up dancers?

Fukin mint
Spooky voice.
Leave it to me to figure out she's Elizabeth Taylor
"But theyve got eyes to our keyholes and ears to our doors." 😮uhoh uh yeah OK FUCCING STALKERS 👌
Listen to that guitar. No hip hop mumbling rhyming ebonics, no talent can do that. And siouxsie kicks ass too.
🙄
to praise siouxsie and mcgeoch you don’t need to bring in race…
Макгиох не очень нравится, Роб Смит круче играет))

Grandissimo anche coi Magazine. Stile chitarristico molto originale che credo abbia influito anche su Geordie dei Killing Joke.
