I don't mean to generalize everything but people nowadays of my age have really bad music taste or are not aware that there is more out there than mainstream hip hop and rap...

I am not a fan of rap and hip hop. That being said they are innovative in their own ways. Also I see similarities to all the politically motivated music I know and enjoy. Again not a fan, yet I have respect.
