Another wild chapter in the bible! I never knew bible lessons could become so interesting. These things still happen today, it's important to remember that this world is wicked. God keep our children safe

Good chapter. We cannot be silent in the face of evil.

This also reminds me that despite the fact that we shouldn't be silent, we should not seek revenge as well. God will avenge what has been done to Dinah, if only they were more patient.

Jacob's silence is perplexing to say the least. Seems to be the result of being overly concerned with worldly security.

i wrestled with this chapter , cause i saw Jacob as weak and even saw his sons retaliation as just & fair for the time and era . i cant chastise the brothers knowing their own grandfather Abraham, took men and freed his brother from captives, and he also slaughtered men in the process. don't the brothers have a better claim to battle than that of Abraham ?!
nonetheless, your study was amazing and it did give some clarity into the other nuances that may be over looked sometime. i find your criticism of all parties involved to be fair , while also pointing us to what we as believers should aim to achieve

It never says she was raped. It says she was "defiled". That doesn't mean she was raped, just deflowered.
