And we are sopping wet this year in WI. Severe drought was easier-no mosquitoes and I monitor the water.

This year, I have been fertilizing my pots at least every 10 days or so. NONE of them have taken off. Noe are full amd lush. Arghhhh!.

In Arizona where we used to live, lantana was a very aggressive plant and got out of control if you didn’t prune and dig up often! My mom had some that were over 7’tall and took over! Here in VA they are easily controlled! I’m zone 7. You shouldn’t have any problem in Indiana! I LOVE your video’s! Thank you for all you do and for sharing your gorgeous gardens!!! My thumb is kind of brown….and I have a ground hog who eats EVERYTHING but basil…..guess who is planting multiple kinds of basil? 😂😂😂
Yes! Lantana is the bane of my life! I live in Crete, Greece and it grows like a weed once it’s planted in the ground! It was already planted in two areas when I moved into this house 11 years ago and have tried for the last nine to eradicate it! I do have one which is in a trough so I can control it’s growth but Good Lord those others make me mutter every night when I water!!!

Like you I love my cannas. I’m saving rhizomes. This year they are amazing. I put to my existing big octagonal raised beds my compost and good compost from Coadt of Maine. Then I put flower tone from Espoma. Works like magic. They are blooming like crazy for the last month.

I love your beautiful garden, your descriptions about how it was created and about your experience with seed. I always think that I can do it too, but, not much is easy about gardening.
The cruciferous vegetables in my garden are being killed by a scurry of squirrels, cutting off the stems to sharpen their teeth. They leave the leaves on the ground, and are killing the plants by removing the leaves. First, I wrapped the vegetables with netting, but those darn squirrels figured out how to rip open the netting. Then I sprayed the plants with peppermint essential oil, which deters the squirrels but it might ruin the taste for me. I'm planning to create a cage in which to grow the cruciferous vegetables.

Your garden still looks stunning even in the heat! Here in Northern California it’s supposed to be 114 🔥🔥 tomorrow! 😭. I am trying to keep things alive , especially my vegetables and favorite perennials, but I think I’m losing a few including hydrangeas in the shade. Your garden gave me inspiration as to which plants I may replace my pots with. You do such a beautiful job designing and creating such enchanting gardens Roxana! I love love your channel friend!

Yes, I'd love more information on the seeds you started earlier in the year (I always want more videos and more information from you!). Your garden is looking so gorgeous. One thing I don't think I've seen you talk about (please point me to the video if you have), but I'd love to hear your thoughts on garden pathways. I've recently bought a lot of mulch to lay down between my raised veggie bed for the pathways, and I plan to install a few stepping stones on top of the mulch, but I'm also debating between pea gravel. Additionally, I'm wondering if I should lay down landscape fabric under the mulch first, or cardboard, or just mulch only (I've heard various thoughts on this). Can you talk about your pathways and experience - would love to hear your recommendations!
Landscape fabric is somewhat ok for the most part, if you are 100% sure you will not be planting on that spot you can use fabric, however, weeds will grow on top of it... I would go with cardboard instead.

I trim back all petunias as they all get leggy. I can’t believe you’re not swatting mosquitoes. We are getting WAY too much Rain in WI! And more Sunday to Wednesday 😱. Everything is blooming and I’m stuck inside like it’s winter.
You know, this year even the mosquitoes are very laid back, just like the pollinators, I still get bites but not like other years. Normally I can't even step outside before I am covered with them.
Wow... zone 6; what a difference...... I'm in zone 8 and everything is frying.

I love your new planters especially that one from At Home, what is size of that planter?
Hmm, I am not so sure, it was the biggest they had in this style.
To give you an idea, I fit 3 one-gallon size plants in there nicely.
