As a long badminton fan myself I don't understand why it so offensive to someone when a player screams during the very intense game play. Some player screams and some don't. That's all. In my dictionary it certainly has nothing to do with sportsmanship whatsoever.
Many fail to see the bigger picture of what Marin has brought. Quite so often she is the only European women player in this heavily Asian dominating game. She grew up from a small city in Spain in which badminton is not an important sport. The country does not even have a competitive league system which means she does not have a lot of supports comparing to many Asian players like Chinese, Japanese, Korean even Malaysian do. It is just she and her coach. Regardless, she made history with the Olympic Gold Medal. The efforts she has put into the game could be beyond many could imagine who couch comfortablly with a keyboard.
She changed Spain's attitudes towards badminton. She somehow stopped Asian's dominance in Women's Single. She is a game changer and a Spanish national hero. The girl deserves a lot more respect than what she is getting now in this comment section!

Liang Zhao. Obviously it is not against the rules to scream each time after a shot is won but personally i find it unnerving, unnecessary, unpolite and wouldn't want to live near Marin on her wedding night.
I think the majority of people would consider loud noises like screaming, shouting or even talking loudly impolite, unnerving and a lack of consideration. But it is obviously not against the rules to yell after a sot is made. I wouldn't want to live near her on her wedding night.
Why is Marin allowed to get coach's advice all the game long? We can hear it! Isn't that forbidden to give help besides between games and at mid game rest?
Her screaming can really ruin the pleasure of watching a good game...

I saw Arkane playing n wonder for a person to be good at badminton sport, you must be a simple person, no thinking too much and then you can focus and do well on one thing and only one thing.
The problem with Marin is that she doesn't have good coach and other same level player in Spain. She is on her own. She is fast and that worked for a period of time and when other people get used to it then she is done and she can't improve because of lacking good coach and good team members.

Just like ol times .... coaches should not be allowed to blabber between points. They can only be allowed in breaks. Let the players figure out as that is the real test.
The Chinese coach does that too, you can hear that when you watch TW Tai playing with the Chinese player in semi final.

well, return shuttle (that's a requirement of sportsmanship) and keep definitely it below 80 dB (you getting your money because "normal" people watching you).
