- The Legends' Vision gathered at the 110th All England Badminton Championships finals, showcasing the accuracy, power and speed required to reach the top in some fun and unique games.
At the Legends Vision World Tour England exhibition, Team White, led by Legend Taufik Hidayat and supported by Kim Gi Jung, Marcus Ellis, Akane Yamaguchi and Keigo Sonda went head to head with Team Gold, led by Legends Lin Dan and Lee Yong Dae, supported by Lauren Smith, Ratchanok Intanon and Takeshi Kamura.
The Legends’ Vision initiative promotes a greater awareness and increased participation in badminton. The Legends’ Vision goal is to give something back to the communities where World Tour and Legacy Tour events are staged. Legends' Vision hopes to leave a lasting legacy for the generations to come, and to inspire communities to become more involved in the sport that The Legends love so much. Once fierce opponents on the court, five of the greatest badminton players of all time have united to drive this initiative as they face their greatest challenge.

Taufik is defintion of sport, skill and art. Like ronaldinho or david beckham in football.
I love seeing them playing without the pressure to win but they still have the competitive spirit
Taufik was like a father of the white team 😂😂 he totally supported the team and little took a part. He also made the whole game becoming fun after all... I like team white with sonoda, akane, ellis, kim, and the father hidayat because of solidity. I do love the winner team gold, 🤭 even tho just won the last game, with rachanok, lauren, takeshi, lyd, lin d owing to great exhibition. Taufik's rivals at that time were Chen Jin (China), Bao Cun Lai (China), Hendrawan (Indonesia), Hasyim (Malaysia)
1997-2007 BWF tournaments are still very rare
Taufik set a record for the youngest player to occupy BWF Rank no.1 in 2000 at the age of 18 years old
1997-2002 Taufik is already in the top 1 of BWF while Lin Dan is still outside the top 10 of BWF
1997-2002 Taufik has won many tournaments. (Lin Dan, Lee CW, Peter Gade at that time were still Rising Stars while Taufik had become Big Stars)
1998 Taufik at the age of 17 has won the Grand Frix (at that time it was the highest tournament equivalent to super 1000)
At that point of time, lin dan and lee are not in their prime yet
