I've noticed that many people are confused on how to get started in DawnCraft. I even saw someone asking in the DawnCraft Discord if anyone had made a Starter Guide yet lol. Well, now someone has!

Some workstations/special interactions have been gated behind villager interactions. These include:
- Fishing Rod
- Grindstone
- Taming/Interacting with Dragon Mounts
- Mixing Cauldron *This is locked behind a specific cleric quest
- Other Villager POIs
Since Update 1.5, certain POIs are gated behind:
- Fulfilling main quest: Killing Corrupted Ogre/Picking Up the Lost Eye (Unlocks Smoker, Blast Furnace)
- Fulfilling main quest: Killing Knight Rober/Picking Up the Rogue Eye (Unlocks All Create mod items, Anvil)
- Fulfilling main quest: Killing Nine Tails/Picking Up the Exotic Eye (Unlocks Smithing Table, Enchantment Table)

No way! I'll be alternating between the two. Many guides need to be done once 2.9.2 comes out and I have the series to finish still :)
Rlcraft is boring
RLCraft is very hard, and that's what i want of a modpack, so for me RL is a lot better and is still updating, but i may give this a try with some friends
@@SomeNutzGuy Hey does RL craft add just as much or more bosses,armor,mobs than dawn craft? I liked the bloodborne and Dark souls mobs added into dawn and was wondering if RL had something similar.
@@killerqueen4001 RLCraft is very different but on a similar level with regards to difficulty.
It has lycanites mobs which is a cool/scary mod with lots of different mobs.
Spartan weaponry for lots of different weapons.
More armor types you actually use. I think many end game DawnCraft players are just using netherite.
A huge thing I recommend is the cage trap.
Fighting a big boss you’re not ready for? Box it up
Goblin or wandering trader got a good deal? Box them up
Want a big animal to take home? USE THE BOX

I appreciate the guide! I'm getting into the mod and just starting out and this has helped quite a bit!
Before the newer versions it was so hard and chaotic that you couldn't even progress for one day, but the new version is amazing at it will let you have a well start STILLLLL we shouldn't forget that this is hard AF.

Best thing for the backpacks: you can use the set tag feature on advanced modules to create fully functional factories or item collectors individually

I really hope you won't forget the RL Craft 2.9.2 update. Once that comes out i really hope you will make one hell of a guide out of it. For and example you did that wine brewing tutorial so damn well and i will never forget that. You saved me a lot of time in rlcraft and thank you so much. It's really nice finding youtubers for MC who talk like ordinary people. Makes it a lot easier to follow a long when you talk so clearly and don't yell/put on silly voices (for I assume very young aduiences). Appreciate this and your other DawnCraft guides.

Another tip for anyone with extra buttons on your mouse I recommend setting your combat button to one it makes switching to combat so much easier when you get randomly jumped ever 2 minutes at your own house out of nowhere

Yeah I'll be doing a mix of DawnCraft and RLCraft 2.9.2 (when it comes out).
The one thing I love about this mod pack is the fact it includes a couple of the breath of the wild stuff. All around amazing vid and I sure hope I don’t get demolished often like in rlcraft…
You might at the beginning but mid game it gets much easier :P

@@SomeNutzGuy do you know if stealing from the special golden loot chests anger villagers? I've taken some out in the open and they either were too far or didn't mind
Does stealing only apply to vanilla containers like normal chests or barrels?

Sometimes but frames drop frequently so I'll be keeping them off until it's better optimised or I find a way to run them without frame loss.

Hey Somenutzguy, seen alot of your videos after starting Dawncraft with a couple of friends. So keep up the good videos :D
But as you said we could request stuff, and seeing this mod is a bit much at times trying to understand all the new systems as this is the first real modpack me and my friends are using.
But I don't understand the tomes other then Tome of Scrapping, as I want to transfer enchantments from for exampel iron or chainmail to diamond or something else, or maybe stats from one armor piece to another type but i dont know how to do that.
We have done Nine Tails and unlocked the essential things :)
Oh yeah, maybe some info on different mounts that is possible to get? :D
I believe the other tomes can be enchanted at an enchanting table like a book but are limited to only the type of enchant of the tome. If that makes sense.
Might make a guide on it at some point. Tome of scrapping is the main useful one. Takes 50% of the enchants off rounded up.
Still need to learn this myself but the best mobility I've found is the Ars Nouveau spells. You can basically just fly around quite fast with the right spells.
Leap -> amplify lots -> bounce / slow fall.

also to remove keybinds just highlight the key by clicking it in keybindings then hit esc to remove it completely.
Gives me the vibes that rlcraft gives, hard, but they're hard in different ways completely, unfortunately though dawncraft performs too poorly for me to want to keep playing but hopefully my upgrade will help that
Thought it was bugged but found out with this video that I'm unwelcomed in _every_ village after looking into one barrel in the first one I found. So I have to find lots of emeralds right from the bat, oh man.
That should only take 1-2 bundled emeralds. 8-16.

The dragons in Dawncraft can kill you quick like in RLCraft, the difference is that RLCraft dragons are high in the sky and you can see and hear them outside of render distance. However the dragon in Dawncraft, you can't see our here them until they're within render distance and they will kill you the second they load in, they fly low in the sky

@@SomeNutzGuy another think, in palm beaches there are these hermit crabs that use coconut, killing these crabs drops coconut and crab meat
Combining coconut and cooked crab meat gives you a new food item with massive saturation, I think it was ten shanks

Kind of hard to fight in combat mode on ladders (makes sense as to prevent cheesing I guess) but hitting from ladders still work
Combat mode is quite janky in a few situations tbh... :P

Imagine playing RLCraft, youre mining, and suddenly one of those damn rock monsters busts out and you need to activate Combat Mode.
how do i navigate maps in Dawncraft? I can't find the corrupt ogre anywhere even if i was inside the map. Also is there any good transportation to go long distances?
Corrupt ogre is in a dome of dirt. Maybe 30 blocks in diameter. Kinda hard to see in some places.
Ars Nouveau spells like Leap are great for traveling.

I've been searching for 3 days for an Armorer to teach me how to use the blast furnace, only to find out that the changelogs said "Anvil, Enchanting Table, Smithing Table, Smoker, Blast Furnace, Create are now gated behind main quest-line instead of individual profession"
I wasted so much time looking for an Armoror!
I've only found teachers for the grindstone and stonecutter, independent of the main quest

@@SomeNutzGuy I found out how you can unlock Blast Furnaces and the Smoker
You have to kill the first real boss that has one of the twelve eyes, the 3rd main quest after the Goblin King quest , an Ogre
He's pretty hard, I recommend a bed right outside his arena for quick respawn, hard to cheese too
Blast furnace means you can turn iron into steel!

Hello I actually have difficulty looking for pillagers, is there a way that I wan go look for horses?
Help? My epic fight mod isnt displaying when I am in fight mode, I just have to guess and it makes things very confusing. Im not getting the indicator on the corner that says weather or not im in fight mode.
Weird, not sure how to fix that tbh...
I noticed there is I think a bug with reputation. I accidentally killed a villager guard and I've been trying to fix my rep since then, but going to sleep does nothing when I put the bundled emerald in the box, but dying resets it and doesn't fix it. So do be careful

so i have been having this problem idk if anyone else has really but, whenever i log out of my dawn craft world and such it wont close out and eventually i have to cancel the task on my taskbar, do you know if this is a hardware problem or have others been experiencing this aswell?
No idea tbh. It could do with better optimisation...
If I find any good mods to add or settings to help with optimisation I'll make a video on it.

Yeah, you can press the arrow keys to move it around.
In my playthrough I get a negative reputation whenever I sleep in my own bed outside near the village, how do I stop that?
ive got a lot of issues with the ui and stuff would like tips on that like i have no sword when in the bottom when im in combot mode

Does the main questline for multiplayer work for all the members? Because the maps the guildmaster handsout after defeating the goblin king, all lead to the same orgre boss, and only one person can finish the quest by getting the last hit. Is it possible to obtain more maps for everyone to continue the main questline together?
Not sure tbh. The chests in the pack are made instanced so ever player can get them but idk how it handles quests objectives on multiplayer.
There are more ogres, just not sure about the maps etc...

12:40 you mentioned that it is worth to carry paper so we get the maps to quests. But how does it work? I never got a single map, the guild master just tells me what to do and never gives a map
Guild master never needed paper - he just gave you the maps. I think there is a new system though. I'm just figuring it out and I'll do a vid on it soon.
any tips for locating the locations on map for the map quests they give?
Move in a direction, see if the dot moves, move the other direction to confirm. The turn the right way to go towards the X. All I can say really.

what is a spirit orb used for what does it do
can you lose the skill in some way? because I lost my dodge skill for some reason, also finding/completing guard's quest is hard because there are some bugs that prevents me from clearing raid like in the first quest for example. Does playing in a server breaks the mod pack?
It depends what version the server is running. Older versions were less optimised for servers.
In older versions you would lose skills on death.

How do i get the combat skills from the epic fight mod such as guard skill? The guards with only 20hp are super rare and die really quickly before i can even get the trade with them
Guard quests. When you get one put them in a covered hole so they don't die.

Options -> Resource Packs -> click any on the right you don't want to use (Left is disabled, right is enabled).
I've noticed that my crops have a pretty slow growing time. Is this a coincidence? does this just happen in cold biomes in this modpack? (i was in a cold area that snowed during precipitation)? Am i just noticing something that isnt there?? @_@

I think quests is how you gain positive rep although not sure if this has been added yet... Mine seems buggy too.

I bound it to something else. I use 7 and 9 on the numpad.
I've been trying to start playing Dawncraft but have been running into many problems, I don't know if the mod is just supper buggy or if I'm just bad. I created about 10 different worlds now, none of them generated with everything working. Every world either:
1) Dosent spawn a boss that's required for progression.
2) The combat mode icon is forever invisible.
3) The Korok doesn't spawn (though I don't think this is essential).
4) The same boss bar is permanently active no matter where I am.
5) The command line doesn't work even with cheats on.
6) I can't go into creating mode .
I spent a good 5-7 hours in a world that didn't spawn a Corupted Ogre, tried to go to creating mode to spawn it manually, tried to use commands to get the spawn egg, and both didn't work. I don't want to put any more hours into a world if I'll just be locked out like my first world. If anyone reading this had similar problems and the solutions to them, that would be great; Until then, I'll probably go back to Rlcraft.
I appreciate the guides SomeNutzGuy, you made Rlcraft playable for me, I wish Dawncraft would be the same.
Weird you're having so many issues... did you install the modpack on Curseforge? Are you playing the latest version?
I was having a issue with the maps on this pack they don’t seem to update with my location when taken from a quest either that or they are thousands of blocks away im not sure which

the weird markers in the atlas is anything that is a new modded biome, the atlas mod doesnt have a image for that bop,e

Like in survival mode when you enter combat mode and start hitting mobs, the metter in the lower right of the screen fills up from 0 to 100, what the hell does that do?
Charges your weapons ability. I think 'f' by default to use the ability.

is there a way to fixe the trees leaves that sometimes have some black shadows on it?
Not sure tbh.
Try fancy graphics or just fancy leaves. Fast leaves make the trees messed up with shaders.
Hey do you think I can have the seed for your world? Ive been getting really bad spawns on my server and your spawn seems like the type of spawn we are looking for
Spawn is random I think. You wont get the same spawn.
Also I don't have this world anymore.
Is there a reason why I can't roll/dodge even though I got the skill book and learned the skill? I even adjusted the key binds so that there is no conflict. If there's something I'm missing pls help.
You have to be in combat mode to roll. If you have been then idk...

Start a new world I guess. Unless you've made some decent progress.
So im new to modding and this took me 3 hours (Plus breaks) to mod this into my game.
Did you not just use Curesforge launcher? Should take 5 minutes...

Hey, I'm playing with a friend. And we recently just killed the Corrupted Ogre. I completed the quest at the taskmaster and now got a map to the new boss, but my friend can't complete the quest... We tried spawning in multiple other Ogres in creative mode and had him last hit it to be sure that wasn't the issue. But whatever happens he just can't complete the quest. Do you have any tips perhaps ? We pretty much can't progress since this is a pretty game breaking bug
I'm afraid I don't know much about multiplayer. Does your friend have the eye that the boss drops?

i want to ask something so i got quest for villager to save a child but the child dead when we going back to the village what should i do the villager cant complete the quest
Well yeah... If your quest was to save a kid and they died you don't expect the parent to still reward you right?! 🤣

No idea but it's a core part so I personally wouldn't. It's not hard to beat the first few bosses to unlock everything.
