No no no you've got it all wrong. If you're doing it right youre imagining people NOT burning to death. You're basically got the highest stakes metaphorical job of all time. Get it right or everyone dies.
I feel like Sinix is the college class of TH-cam art tutorials. They are high skill and they are SO helpful for intermediate and even advanced artists.
I've been making art seriously for 10 years and this is the first time that I finally understand what looks good. This 12 minute video just unlocked something in my brain and I am so thankful
I've never imagined there are people teaching these stuffs in youtube or even in a skool. I've never expected people would have lean these kind of matters as come across or passing by. And who is this Sinix guy?. REALLy appropriate this video and how curious it's that that he broke down the matters into wards...... I barely understood less than a half of the language though, future me should comes and watch again and again. RESPect!
This is a very unique drawing theory video. I've never seen anyone talk about organic vs inorganic shapes. The closest I can think of is "the flow" of the shape theory, but it's not the same. Also, the fact that drawing should be intuitive is very inspiring and eye-opening to me. Thank you for this tutorial, Sinix! Very informative.
Sinix you are an absolutely amazing teacher. This video has helped me a lot to articulate ideas I was already having for a while but not able to turn into words. The part where you speak of intuition was really eye opening as well, and it feels great to be empowered by the knowledge that my brain HAS VALUE and brings something to the table. In other words, art isn't only about learning and grinding, but to express something which we already all have inside of us.
I’ve been really struggling with this exact thing!! This is so incredibly helpful... I was really struggling with getting a message across in a piece, and I had no idea how much shape design could influence that. Thank you!
"I know a lot of you aren't into industrial design" I for one love industrial design and would love if u went into more videos in that sorta perspective
I've actually thought about this so much!! Artists are always talking about how you should have good shapes in your drawings but I've literally seen only one video on how to get good shapes I honestly felt like there's no answer and it was just the tips in that one video but I got so much more from this video and I'm really thankful! It really feels good to have your questions answered, thank you!
Finally someone could explain it to me as simple as I could understand it! Even though it's not my native language, everything is so clear! I just want to thank you! 🙏💖
sinix, you truly are a king , ive seen like many many videos on shape appeal and shape design on youtube where they talk about value, composition and everything else other than shape design but you video really talks about this subject in the most helpful way possible, thanks for making such great videos, and hope your doing great.
The whole sharp edge and soft edge contrast usage has made SO much click in my head!! Oh my god! I am looking around my room and I am seeing the techniques everywhere! Thank you so much!
Your design style is definitely one of the more unique I've seen. I think subconsciously all artists begin to recognize the stark contrast between mechanical angles, and smoother more "organic" shapes. We just happen to label them more simply as "natural" vs "unnatural" but find it harder to actually define what we really mean. They all have their use, however, sometimes as a beginner artist myself I find it too easy to skew toward one single method in lieu of others. Always good to remember there is no one correct way to accomplish a work of art.
Finally my most anticipated video of 2020 has dropped! Thank you! A great companion video to this would be one where you fix the shapes in someone's design and show these principles in practice.
I really don't understand why you give this information away for free. That said, I'm amazingly grateful for the value you're giving to the community. Selfless and absolutely amazing person. Thanks for what you do, Sinix!
Man this is probably the best and most useful 10 minutes I've ever seen of anyone explaining anything about art. Thank you very much! I've been thinking about flow for years and I could not find much good info on this, and I feel like I finally struck gold. Even as a professional working for a game company, this is probably the best video I've seen on this subject and was extremely helpful
This is probably the best video about shapes i've ever seen (and trust me, i've seen some..)...You could extend my understanding! This material is priceless!!! Thank You very much!
Very nice and thought provoking video! Thank you! One question came up in my mind: How do you decide on which flow you want? If you take your roboter at 11:05 the flow points the eye into the ground. Should the flow not direct the view to the most important point - the focal point of the thing you're doing? How do you decide on your flow direction?
I just want you to know that you're doing a great job on what you do and keep on inspiring people like me. Thank you for actually sharing your knowledge. I love your tutorials. God bless
I was like "How the FUCK this gold has only 3k views???" then I realized it was just uploaded today. Great video. One of the best of Sinix, I dare to say.
im in the middle of designing a mech for my concept art class, and ive been struggling but unsure what the problem is, and this helped me figure out what i need to do to fix it, thanks! :D
i always love how his little intro thing is so edgy and ominous and then he's just a cheerful kinda shy guy
Conceptual contrast!

For anyone who wants to watch this subject from different artists, try to watch Marco Bucci's 10 minutes to better painting
Yeah he is very good at teaching painting and other fundamentals too. But what other artists can I find who talk about c curves and s curves?
@@publicopinion3596 Proko briefly goes over it while talking about flow in one of his fundamental figure drawing videos
Bless Marco Bucci honestly, he’s great!
Marco promoting himself with a second acc:

It's such a day-brightener to see a new Sinix video in my feed :D

But it's a good thing tho (for referencing at least) xD
@@krigom_ori Yep! Design theory is my favorite series! I watched every video at least once before I draw/design something.
