Love that she's still raising awareness 💙 and in the name of others and her late husband ❤

Wow. We had a close call with the husband of one of the cousins by marriage. He was fortunate. He was going home from a class he was taking (work related) . He was walking through a park, felt ill, decided to sit on a bench, missed that and wound up on the ground. There was someone there who mentioned that he didn't look too good, managed to persuade him to go to the hospital (an ambulance had been called) and there they discovered that he had a tear in his aortic artery going from his bellybutton to his heart. THe cardiologist said it was the largest aortic dissection she had ever seen someone survive.

CT scan is 6 months away in all but the most elderly wealthiest cases, & backlogged by those same cases by the minute: you could be treated but someone older & independently wealthy just came in, they got a kid's kidney & the last of your treatment, & left a super-bug while you were still in the waiting-room. (sound of helicopter leaving) stat/Quo

Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome type 4 (vascular type) causes this. Arteries to organs and the aorta are the most common cause of death with this genetic syndrome sub-category.
