I went to a punk show and saw this guy with a leather jacket, covered in drizzled hot glue, with googly eyes and mousetraps all over it. It looked so incredible.
@@aspenrenaut2458 actually that's one of my first diy's and I've done it two more times since. I had pants with cool patterns but way too big on the waist so I cut off the legs and sewed them on vests, it turned out so cool.
My friends always tell me patch sewing is better with a sewing machine, that it is easier and faster. But I just LOVE hand sewing my patches, it is sooo relaxing and makes it feel way more personal and makes me appreciate a lot more the work I made, so why would I want to make it faster? 💓 I love your videos, you're really creative uwu
Omg yess and also… its near impossible to sow on pockets and have them be usable with a machine. And also i like to completely hide my stitches by matching the thread color to the color of where im sowing so it would be a massive pain to keep changing threads on a machine
I have a few things to say: 1) your energy is so nice, like just the vibes you give off are very positive 2) I am definitely inspired. I was a little stuck on what else to do with my crust pants, but I have ideas
I have several battle jackets that I've made over the years, but I've never considered adding so many three-dimensional charms and toys! I wonder how the bones will hold up over time. The jacket looks great though, I love the way all the different textures and mediums mix. Its a real piece of assemblage art
Your DIYs are always so helpful! I liked that this one was divided into separate chapters, and we were spoiled enough to see a bunch of outfits with the jacket too:)) Thank you for being you
I just love your mind!! I used to be so creative and think outside of the box too! Idk if it was antidepressants or society that made me loose so much of that, but it’s so sad! But I’m so glad I found your channel, it makes me rethink and gets the creativity flowing again!! I really hope you know how much of a difference you make without even knowing. You’re awesome! And I also love how you actually take time to share your ideas and advice for everyone! It’s such a “simple” thing to do, but not something I’ve seen from others. Thank you for your videos! 🤟🏻
Oh man I got a second hand black jacket exactly like that and I've never worn it, how do you find so many good patches? 😭 I'm totally gonna do this. I'm gonna do a forest 'nature core' theme on an old hand-me-down denim jacket too, Think you for inspiring me 🖤

The way this was perfect timing omgggg I literally was thinking about making a bag with patches and pins but I didn't know where to start and I wasn't super inspired but now I feel like getting right in it thank you!!!!!
I have a couple things to say! 1) I'm currently sewing on my first handmade patch on my flannel! It's a mushroom :D and I'm gonna make a felt leaf next! 2) I make pins out of paper! Thick paper, draw on it, and put a thick sealer on it :D I've also made some from soda can metal! And just bent it into shape and painted on it

So cool how you mentioned making bone earrings, I made a whole bunch of them and plan on putting them on my Depop soon. Also this video is so inspirational and fun to watch, I definitely want to make my own clutter jacket in the near future 🖤
I might be getting a leather jacket from my cousin soon and I think this will be perfect to get ideas/inspiration if I wanna add some stuff to make it less boring! So thank you!
I’m hopefully going to start making myself a patch jacket soon, just starting to get into punk, I’m really excited and this video and comments helped me become a lot more comfortable about making and wearing it. Thank youuuuu
Love how it all comes together and the details! ❤ Gave me a flashback to more than ten years ago, when I had a black jacket that I stitched all kinds of colourful buttons on and a Sex Pistols patch, but I was changing styles so quickly back then that I didn't appreciate it enough and I've always regretted not having it anymore... but recently I found a very comfy peach jacket and I've been going over some ideas in my mind to spice it up a bit, so who knows when or what I'll do with it. I’ve barely got any goth clothing (I’ve got like 2 shirts) and it gives me experience,” I might do the shirt idea with my Halloween fabrics as I have a LOT of those I can use to make one. Do you have any ideas for custom sewing outfits? I prefer not to wear skirts but I’m not so good at making hoodies so I might just use the hoodie I was gonna use for fabric scraps to make a similar jacket. ☺️
After trying several methods, honestly "threading/sewing" spider webs are the best, it lasts long and it looks very good BUT it depends on the type of perfecto you're dealing with, the ones from the 80s/90s are impossible (the leather is top tough) to go go through with a needle even a very thick one. Or I like using good quality french manicure white nail polish and then spraying it with a waterproofing spray made for leather. 😉
Thanks for the tips! I’ve been wanting to make some spiderweb elbow patches for a sweater lately so this is very useful knowledge (I’ll try embroidering) ! ❤️ thank u thank u!
@@RattusRattus so sorry I forgot the most important ! The white nail polish is in fact gel polish the one you have to cure ! Sorry because I think that's why I consider it working.

YES to both these comments!!! Wonderful advice ! I would like to add on that the cheapest customization material is paint (get it at the dollar store) , and with a bit of needle and thread or just safety pins and paint and old fabric you can make patches yourself basically for free ! And all the stuff you draw / paint on your jacket will add tons of decoration with little money (literally one bottle of paint from the dollar store will last you so many projects!) Hey Rabbit!!! I can’t believe I missed this when it came out, but glad I finally saw it because I needed some of your good vibes today💜 the back patch you made turned out ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! And this whole jacket turned out so cool!!!
