I would love to see a production of this play set in the present day. So many of the themes such as "what is love", "disguise" and "personal desire" would translate well into the internet age. Seriously, there is so much going on between the characters and individual agendas (including deception and true longing) that it reminds me a bit of a modern dating application.
My friend recently went to see a modern version of The Tempest, where Prospero was a woman instead, and loved it. Shakespeare is so universal, his plays truly can be adapted and translated even centuries later, with the original never suffering, or being too outdated. I never thought of this being like a dating app, but you are so right!
I love your perspective and the way you explain, because of this I got a high grade on my literature exams. Keep up the great work! Also please do midsummer night's dream
looking to release part 2 next sunday! In exactly a week's time. This week I had a debating competition, so I prefilmed another video instead, which is why I couldn't get part 2 out straight away, sorry x
I will do my best! I am a bit behind on all the poetry videos for the A Level exam, so those do have to take priority first.... thanks so much for your comment though!!
yep, it's on the list! I'm planning to make a video for all the Edexcel A Level Poetry on the syllabus, so it should be coming up in the playlist soon:)
