- Taking a look at the Hammer Classic Coach Gun from CZ.
The leather work is made by RLO gun leather sold from fiddlebackoutpost.com. Its excellent stuff. And no, I didn't get it free, and no, they aren't paying me to say nice things.
Its not only classic, I believe this may be the best survival gun.
Ammo is awfully heavy. .22 lr is hard to beat
@@guaporeturns9472just fyi, they make inserts for the tubes to shoot different ammo. One of them is for 22lr.
@@guaporeturns9472 you can get adapters to shoot 22LR out of this (also available in 20ga, 9mm, 44mag, 357, etc.)
I have the Huglu brand gun, almost exact same as the CZ since they make it for them. Amazing brand and history they have been around since 1914
I always wanted a 12 gauge double-barrelled shotgun. I heard so much about these too. l bought one a couple of weeks ago. Love the short 20" barrels. I was so excited to take it to the range. After about five minutes or so of shooting, and it shot beautifully, it sadly, malfunctioned. The left hammer wouldn't stay cocked. For some reason it wasn't catching. Anyway, I was heartbroken. Sent the gun back. Got my money back and bought another one for $999 brand new. I refuse to be discouraged. I'm convinced it was just a freak thing that just happened. Can't wait to get it.
So how has it held up?
@@neft5449 Beautifully! 🙏🙏
@@johnts1 good to hear, thank you for letting me know! 👍
no matter how it may have been setup... When you see someone use both barrels on a nice SxS Coachgun to take down a tree.. you have to give them a thumbs up!
Looks like you're having fun. I have the CZ coming next tuesday. Going to use in Cowboy action. Maybe slower than a internal hammer, but can't pass on the cool of the external hammers.
She's tight . She's ahead of her time.
Love Cheap Trick!
Looks magnificent.
Beautiful setup
I had a Bob white 20ga model I got rid of foolishly, ordered this a few days ago. Can't wait to get it. Thanks for the video, CZ is a great company.
Matt I've been really wanting this shotgun but as beautiful as it is the price I a little steep but wow what a deal you landed and I would have jumped on that in a heartbeat. I like the shell holder also. Great review 👍
I wouldn't have bought it if I didn't get the price I got. It's definitely worth asking price IMO, but it's still a lot of money.
@@RooftopKY Happy Holidays 🎄 ⭐ Mat. Yeah I love this gun, I was at a LGS yesterday and I ran across one on consignment, the guy had it priced at 1600.00 and he's lost his mind, New about 1000.00 to 1100.00 that's expensive but a good quality coach gun.
This guy reminds of a good ol' boy from Deep East Texas who only had four firearms that he'd NEVER sell: an S&W Model 27 with a 5" barrel, a CLASSIC Browning .380 in excellent condition, a Remington 870, and a .308 carbine with a Canjar trigger and a beautiful, full-length Mannlicher stock that he'd cleanly-checkered, himself.
SO?
So, other-than those 100% KEEPERS, this guy would CONSISTENTLY buy an $1,100 (in mid-1970's Dollars) shotgun, for $600, get-tired of it, and then re-sell it to some OTHER lucky shooter, for $850! The guy was a consistent, ongoing, "Bargain-MACHINE," and all I could-to was stand back, and marvel!
Just ordered one to go with my rossi 92 and uberti cattleman. I second fiddleback I got a rifle cover with a sling from them really good stuff
you got it at a kick ass price, very nice !
I really do wish double barrel shotgun were still made in the USA. It’s extremely hard to find any new production of this I have had and I’ve been very disappointed. Is this made in the same factory of Stoker or is it a step above?
That's my cowboy coach gun right there. I love it!
I wish that I would have came up on this gun before you did at Buds. I love and I'm starting to collect doublebarrell shotguns.
Kind of glad you didn't. Not gonna lie. Lol
Pietta makes a very nice hammer coach.
Have any more light hammer strikes?
Can you open the action with the hammer/s cooked? Also is the action release lever ambitious or does it only open when pressed to the right?
Correction on the Cimarron coach guns all being made in China. The Cimarron Deluxe coach gun which is the 1878 Colt replica is mfg. in Pakistan by a company called Daudsons, a major NATO arms mfg.
Kinda mad right now. I looked at that same gun for months at buds... Kept passing on it because of the price. If I had caught it at that price I would've walked out with it instantly. I'd still like to have one though. These things are beautiful.
I just asked the right person I guess. They were eager to get rid of it. I tried to barter on another gun the other day, they all but laughed. Those days are over for the foreseeable future, sadly.
@@RooftopKY Yeah gun shops aren't really hurting on sales right now so I don't think they're interested in negotiating. Thats a killer deal you got on that shotgun. It was right at $900 when I last saw it.
@@tortol4847 ... you I luck. A shipment of these must have just come in!!!
I have an SC-215 and the left hammer is light striking. Any suggestions? Am I able to adjust the firing pins maybe? The hammer seems a little stiff at times.
Huglu is very famous Turkish gun company which produces shotguns over hundred years. One can order custom fit shotguns with all sorts of customization to huglu. Akkus is another brand name which hand fits the gun and solely produces custom made guns.
Is there a half cacked position for the hammer.
If someone came up to me in a generous mood and offered me this shotgun or a Colt AR, I would possibly choose the SxS.
Would like some more info on that scabbard
You gotta get some brass shells and load with black powder. Nice!
Definitely want to do that!
What leather shell holder is that exactly? BEAUTIFUL!
It's made by RLO custom leather sold by Fiddleback Outpost.
Are the hammer springs leaf or coil?
How could you pass it up?
Good video. It would have been good to see how easily the hulls fall out of the barrels. Seeing your left ear and shoulder doesn't show us much.
A magnificent firearm... beautifully made.. I only wish they would make a 10 guage...
You got an incredible price for it
Have you noticed the safety having any problems? Those range safetys sometimes have a problem with the ball detent. Just asking as iv been looking at getting one.
I've never used it. It doesn't automatically engage when you close it like some models do. Honestly, I don't even know why it's there. Seems to me, that the best safety is not pulling back the hammers until you're ready to fire.
how the hell did that sit around for over a year?
I have no idea. Especially at Buds since it's such a high traffic store. I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth though. I'm glad it stayed hidden in the shadows for nearly a year so that I could find it and haggle for the steal!
A year! I would have bought it straight up if i seen it, saying that more selection in the states have to be lucky here in Australia to find that on the shelf, we'd have to order it in
It's not normal here either. A fluke that I happily took advantage of.
@@RooftopKY well done mate, good find:)
Hey man awesome find What’s that shell holder ? Love it
RLO custom leather. They make great stuff!
@@RooftopKY thanks Ordered the CZ earlier today will have a look
A Cool piece!
For home defense external hammers are still better. You could store them loaded but with uncocked hammers. With internal hammers this wouldnt be possible.
Any country made this Venice
great video. thank you. anyone have any experience shooting clays with this? sproting, skeet or whatever the other one is.
I'm looking to get it and just have some fun, but I'd hate if it was inconsistent or the lack of barrel length made it impractical for those activities.
Mate, coach guns are fantastic fun for shooting clays - super fast to point and great to shoot.
I haven't shot clays with it, but it's insanely consistent and very accurate. It would make a fine clays shooter.
Very nice.
6:26…..misfire…..I was interested…….now I am absolutely not interested in buying one. Cheap.
Fun.
CZ means its from czech republic or what??
It's actually made in Turkey
@@RooftopKY ok
nice
Sweet deal!
Wish they would've put a brass bead on the the front sight.
Insidently, Cimarrons are not made in China, they're Italian made, Cimarron is the distributor not the manufacturer. Their version is either a Pietta or a Uberti. Get your facts straight before saying things are made in China.
Most Muricans can't find either China or Italy on a map, so I guess it's the same to them 😂
only the barrels are made in turkey and the are fabulous. The rest is CZ.
Looks like your just fudding around 😂
Sweet shotgun. Jealous
Want to sell it ? 😉
Dont they make self rejection models
These are meant to replicate the side by sides of old. Furthermore, people who shoot cowboy action, can't have ejectors. I think that's the niche this shotgun is looking to fill. At least for me.
Believe they make a hammerless that ejects the spent shells
JEHOVAH EXPUS. JEHOVAH VXXEXPUS.
Can this shoot slugs?
