    Nice work on the patio. Really enjoyed the explanations. Curious, did you keep the whole patio level? Building a similar project at home. Ill have a raised patio against the house and another patio next to it that is down 1 step. The raised patio will have a kitchen. Also would love to see who you guys laid the drainage for the patio.

      our patios are generally very level, some with a very very slight slope just for drainage, depending on what the situation calls for! But usually level! - We do have some other videos that would show our drainage solutions in them!

    Hi great video. What retaining wall blocks and cap did you use? What garden bed edging stone did you use?

    I like all the work you guys do I do have a question what is the benefit of using that type of stone for the base instead of Crusher run and not using sand

      We used 2B clean stone for this patio because it was behind a wall and I wanted a stone that would drain moisture well. As for the setting bed. We use a quarter inch clean stone called #9s because it screeds out much nicer than sand and also doesn't hold any moisture.

    What material did you use and how many inches was your setting bed? For the joints, what sand did you use? Thanks for the video and info. ~B 😊

      The paver was a techo bloc Chestnut brown blue 60. The setting bed was 1-in thick. The jointing was a resin sand from SEK.

    Can you slope the retaining wall itself when going towards the house so you naturally get the slope done for the pavers?

      No, we don't slope the walls. The patio is crowned so that the center of the patio is the highest spot and it slopes slightly towards the outside so that the water runs off.

    How’d your slope work for this patio since the wall is level?

    • @Tusseylandscaping
      @Tusseylandscaping  ปีที่แล้ว

      The top of the step is the highest point and then slopes away from all sides barely an inch at the lowest point!

    Did you guys slope the wall as well? Trying to do something similar but smaller scale. Thanks!

      We don't slope walls - they need to be level

    What grass spray was that

      We use a hydroseed! It's water, wood fibers, and our grass seed mix! :)

    Do you not use 411 or 304 limestone for paver base ?

    • @nickmenter7713
      @nickmenter7713 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also where did you get that screed bar with the notch cut out for setting depth ? Thank you

    • @Tusseylandscaping
      @Tusseylandscaping  ปีที่แล้ว

      We often use 2A modified. But in cases where we need a permeable pad, we use 2B stone. The screen bar was just a standard aluminum concrete screen bar that we cut a notch in.

      @@nickmenter7713 - we get them from a local fabricating shop and then just custom cut the notch to whatever we need it for!

    So what was the point of making the part 2 the only thing you actually showed was in Timelapse the rest you talked about what you were going to do or what you did.
