I hope you still have this Jeep. I've been restoring mine while following some of your modifications. Went with full doors and a clear soft top because of this video. I'll upload my video once my paint job is done!
Looks really good. I have a 1980 CJ 7 with a Wrangler tub I'm trying to restore. Was planning on doing many of the same things you've done. You've given me a lot of good ideas. Now I can visualize how things are going to look. Thanks Jim
I have a 1995 yj, but for multiple reasons I’m not going for the restoration like you did. Yours however is beautifully done. I’m using mine for the beach for mobile surf fishing. Let’s just say fit and function will do in my case. I am however, making it mechanically sound and reliable. My yj needs paint and a MACCO like job is good enough for me because of the harder usage. 1995’s were the only ones with galvanized frame and body and it has no rust which is great for the salt air and sand exposure. When I see some light surface rust on the frame, I touch it up with Rustoleum rust reformer and that stuff works great. Super job on your YJ restoration. I like it a lot. Thanks for sharing.
Damn man, this thing looks mint now, I've got a 92 I repainted it and put on a hardtop, but I'll tell you, this is by far one of my favorite yjs I've ever seen. Super super good job.
That’s a beauty! Brings back memories of my dads Jeep of about the same era... he had the Jeep sound bar up above and the air conditioning too... great job!
Looks great! My girlfriend and I are about to do the same thing to her 93 YJ, started as rust repair and new paint, now its basically turning into a frame off resto haha
Nice job she's a beauty!! My husband and I are currently restoring a 94 YJ Sahara 4.0 we just bought couple weeks ago. It'll be a process for sure!! Looking forward to it though
I remember driving one of them brand new. Man they don't seem that old but my 99 gets alot of looks since I started my restoration. My 4th Jeep. Hang onto them the value is crazy now.
@@grandwaha We still got the YJ slowly but surely we're getting there she's been a project for sure. I do want an automatic TJ with 4.0. Seems like every TJ I find that I like ends up being a 4cyl though at least around where I'm at. I'd really like to find a TJ that's spent it's entire life in Arizona or New Mexico... Less rust! Hopefully next year I can find one since not really doing much traveling these days. LOL. My husband actually wanted to get rid of the YJ but I'm way too attached to her! Probably bc I have never in my life worked on a vehicle except the YJ & I'm just like nope she's not going anywhere! LOL
Love the jeep man. I saw this video about 9 months ago. Around then, I was looking for my first car, and the jeep Wrangler yj was my favorite option. Ultimately, I did get a 95 Wrangler and have really enjoyed it. A lot of the work I have done on it was inspired by yours. Out of all the jeeps I've seen on TH-cam and Craigslist, this is by far one of the nicest looking one I've seen. I like the rugged nature of the jeep, but also the clean/fresh look you can get out of them by applying attention to detail. Thanks for posting these videos!
I have a 93 YJ that actually sat in an airport hanger for 11 years. The man that owned it who’s brother had died inherited from him and never drove it. It ended up at a dealer and I bought it with 64k and absolutely pristine condition. It’s a 4.0 manual and I could not be happier with a vehicle.
Just my own thoughts: I also want to buy an old Wrangler and restore it. But I intend to have the full doors and the hard top for security. That white turned out really nice-EXCELLENT JOB! Mine is going to be a Metallic dark rich Burgundy, with Gold colored Mag Rims if I can find them, same tires as yours-LOVE THEM! I also plan to outfit it with a Sat Phone and HF Ham Radio.
I bought a 91 YJ that I want to restore. It is spray painted with no carpet, tape adhesive all over the dash, thankfully hardly any rust, and I can't wait to get started
Just stumbled upon your video, man, what a blast from the past. My very first Jeep was a white 93 YJ with a 6' lift in it and man was it rough but fun. Lots of great memories when I watched your video, your YJ being amazing and mine being far from it, still, great video. I like the bed liner touches and the sound bar looks pretty nice as well, thanks for sharing and bringing back the fond memories. Cheers
Your YJ is super clean, thanks for showing it. i just dreaded hearing the old crow. at 6:22 "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" at 6;52 "WHO ARE YOU TALKING TO?" RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN MY MAN!
Beautiful, I own the same year in near mint condition, the only thing I would do different is to turn those white lettering to the inside, just my preference!
It’s a jeep. It’s hot and noisy. Can’t try and fix it. It’s in its blood to be that way. It’s a bathtub on wheels meant to take you anywhere, small price to pay. I just deal with it
Beautiful job on this man! I have a 95 yj myself and im looking for a new center console. I'm looking at the one you have in there and was just wondering how the fit is between the seats and all. Thanks a lot!
Looking at purchasing a 95 YJ and restoring it. Would love some information on putting full doors on. I’m pretty new to the Jeep world and wondered if you had any videos of getting full doors to work on a YJ?
They all work... just start looking on Craigslist or FB marketplace. Try to find ones off a YJ. Biggest change is the top corner where the curved part of the door is. Your top will have to match the curve.
I have a 95 YJ and I want to move the backseat all the way back like you did. Do you cover that in one of your other videos? Awesome looking YJ, you did a fantastic job with it. Your videos are very informative as well.
Ok in about a week I'm buying a 92 I want to fully restore it so my question is where do you look to find parts/ seats and door handles things like that to be able to get them?
Can you comment to what brand the fender flares are? Also wondering where you bought your bumpers. Nice job on the restoration, the jeep looks awesome!
Where'd the full roll bar come from? Mine attached the the top of my windshield. I'd like something that can stay up if I told down/take my windshield off.
How much lift did you need to fit those 35x12.50s? I'm getting an '06 Wrangler Unlimited and want to run 33s with a 16x8 American Racing AR172 (the same that you have) wheel. I'll be going with a 3" suspension lift. Just not sure what tire width and what backspacing and offset to get to avoid rubbing.
I have a wrangler 1994 and i want restored from 0 to 100 %. Tell me de secrets about the this kind of jeeps and how to repair some failed electric and mecanics! I'm from mexico
Hey Fix it Now I have a question! Is the parking break on the yj the same thing as the emergency brake? Im trying to replace the parking break because it doesn't hold but apparently every brake calls it the emergency? Would love if you could help me out! Thank you!
The YJ’s are in my opinion the classiest Wrangler’s made. Would love one to be my daily
I feel you man. I’m restoring a ‘92 that’s been sitting for years to be my first car. I’m in love!
I got a 94 two weeks ago as a daily! Is newer than my previous daily 🤷🏻♂️
Just got one last month a 94 going to use it as a daily .. and for hunting. A hunter green metallic hardtop 2.5 5 speed
Soooo beautiful. Be proud!!!. Love the white n tan interior combo
Yo te vendo uno del 91
I have an 89, rusty and I’m okay shape. Seeing this give me motivation on what it could be!
those door panels came out great! the entire jeep looks very good
the jeep yj is the icon of any wrangler
I hope you still have this Jeep. I've been restoring mine while following some of your modifications. Went with full doors and a clear soft top because of this video. I'll upload my video once my paint job is done!
Still got her..
Glad to hear you’re doing yours up. Love to see the vid when it’s done

Super job on your YJ restoration. I like it a lot. Thanks for sharing.
Super nice job with attention to detail. I have a 94 that was previously built to resemble a CJ. But I am a long way to were you are.
Damn man, this thing looks mint now, I've got a 92 I repainted it and put on a hardtop, but I'll tell you, this is by far one of my favorite yjs I've ever seen. Super super good job.
+frank mathis I appreciate that man! Thanks for the compliment! Good luck with your 92! #jeeplife

Finally !! A nice cleanly restored jeep that is not all ghetto'd out with black wheels.. Nice job man !!

Dude your Jeep is top notch, great job
Pretty darn nice restoration on your YJ!
You did a great job👍👍
Nice looking Jeep! ✌

New video coming out soon. 35’s on a 6” lift. Sub my channel. Good luck with your build! Mine has full doors etc.
Outstanding work! That YJ looks amazing! Scott
Very tastefully done, great job!
Nice YJ, gorgeous interior, great job!
I bought a 91 YJ that I want to restore. It is spray painted with no carpet, tape adhesive all over the dash, thankfully hardly any rust, and I can't wait to get started
at least it has a dash, the previous owner of mine wanted to do a custom cj flat dash and knew even less about wiring than the zilch I know, lol.
Super nice job.
Looks Awesome!
Really nice Job you have done to this Jeep. Looks new from factory 👍
really amazing..!! not just an ok restoration...big thank you for showing us...lol
Beautiful job man. I'm restoring my white 95. Going for a similar look to yours. Almost there. Videos like this keep me going!
+zimsjeep ah thanks man! I appreciate that. Good luck with your build! Keep having fun with it.

Nice work my friend! i got a 1994 yj too and i'm working on it to make it look something like yours.
It’s been 3 years, how’s your 94 yj now ?
Good. It’s in the garage
Nicely done my friend 💪looks beautiful👻

Sweet Jeep!
Very clean!
Simply Beautiful!!!
Can I have it?!
I'm looking for a Jeep right now. I would love to restore one like this. Great work.
Fantastic work! I'm curious how you find the interior bed liner in terms of heat and noise.
It’s a jeep. It’s hot and noisy. Can’t try and fix it. It’s in its blood to be that way. It’s a bathtub on wheels meant to take you anywhere, small price to pay. I just deal with it
SO sick! do mine next!😆
Well done
Great job!
Great job restoration, I got a 90 yj rust free, where did you get those fender fair's
Beautiful job on this man! I have a 95 yj myself and im looking for a new center console. I'm looking at the one you have in there and was just wondering how the fit is between the seats and all. Thanks a lot!
Beautiful job ! Where did you get those side steps ? Thanks
really really cool man!!

Looks great! What was the total cost?
Slick
Very unique, where did you get that steering wheel?
Also, who and what type of spray did you use on the floorboard?
Is the VDP soundbar high quality? I read the reviews on quadratec and they all seemed very negative...
Well done!👍
Looks good
Would you mind letting me know what exact steering wheel that is and how difficult it was to replace??
Looks very nice!! How well does it feel on the road…do you take it out on the highway?
Mind sharing where you got the door/window seals, felts etc?
Just starting my 88 YJ project.
QUADRATEC.com
Great job! What color is the dash? Did you paint it? The seats color is spice, correct?
Nice!! How did you move the back seat, back?
Gives me ideas for my 93 wrangler!
How does the top speakers sound
I just bought an 87, let's start!!!!
any online store you recommend?
Ok in about a week I'm buying a 92 I want to fully restore it so my question is where do you look to find parts/ seats and door handles things like that to be able to get them?
Can I ask where you got the rear bumper with the tow hitch?
Wow!
Can you comment to what brand the fender flares are? Also wondering where you bought your bumpers. Nice job on the restoration, the jeep looks awesome!
7" rugged ridge. I have the same
Hey, I've been looking at these seats aswell for a 95 yj. It has the same color dash as yours. How close of a color match are the Bestop seats?
Great job!!! I like the bed liner on the fenders, how did you prep the plastic for it? Did you use a primer? Thanks!
Good looking rig my friend! Where did you get the boot for the shifter and transfer case shifter?
Great job did you do it all ?
Yes
Could you tell us what size tires you have?
Those are 33’s. 12” wide wheels. I’m going to be doing a new tire video soon on my channel for this jeep. Subscribe.
looks awesome! have you looked into the Wipeboy wiper conversion? I just installed their kit on my 95 and it's great.
+Argyle The Galactic Nomad thanks. Yes I was considering it. Maybe I'll just go that route
Where'd the full roll bar come from? Mine attached the the top of my windshield. I'd like something that can stay up if I told down/take my windshield off.
Great job on your jeep, looks awesome! Where did you buy your side step rocker panels from? I have an 89 YJ and can't find them anywhere.
Thanks a bunch. The rockers were already installed when I bought it. I don’t know. I will try to find out.
I am just getting started on a 95 YJ that I found in a barn, how much did you spend on the refinish?
12k
My email is wimberlycw@gmail.com
What adjustment can be made the make the tailgate close all the way with the top fully installed? Mine only closes to the first click like yours.
+MrMatt72422 you have to adjust the rubber latch seal. I messed with mine a bit and now it closes fully
Where can I buy the window rubber? And the door seals? Where did you get yours?
Quadratec
Beautiful Jeep! Great job! Where did you purchase that lovely steering wheel?
very nice!
Looks great! Where did u get the side mirrors?
how do you like the manual? is it good on mileage?
I get pretty decent milage with my 5 speed. Now keep in mind i do have 33s on a 4 inch lift but for big tires like that it still isn't bad
What brand weather stripping did you use? I'm looking at Fairchild industries brand for my door resto.
I have a wrangler 1994 and i want restored from 0 to 100 %. Tell me de secrets about the this kind of jeeps and how to repair some failed electric and mecanics!
I'm from mexico
Great video and restoration. How do you like the Trailmax seats?
How did you hide the wiring under the dash and above the wheel wells?
Awesome Jeep!!! Did you do the bedliner finish inside and fenders yourself or did you have it done?
beautiful
+The Wannabe Homesteader thanks Stpeh!!!
Hey Fix it Now I have a question! Is the parking break on the yj the same thing as the emergency brake? Im trying to replace the parking break because it doesn't hold but apparently every brake calls it the emergency? Would love if you could help me out! Thank you!
Yes. Same thing. It’s the pedal full left
@@Archifx Thank you! I actually meant the brake cable I wasn't sure if it were the same thing or not!
Yes. Same thing.
What brand fender flares did you go with? Are they 6” or 7” flares
These are 6” flares. They were on the jeep when I got it. I have looked all over for a brand and there un marked. Wish I had more info on them too.
7" rugged ridge flares. I have the same.
