Esposito is great. I favour religion-free monotheism to 'traditional' religious theism for various reasons, but I like the way the practise of Islam has evolved in the United States. We are more tolerant, open-minded, and intellectually charitable than our counterparts elsewhere.

Inshallah. I sincerely hope he does. I have Dr. Esposito’s history of Islam (published by Oxford University Press) right now on my bookshelf. At this current moment, I would say that he is a perennialist, but I pray that Allah gives him the courage to declare that Islam is the truth. Inshallah.
