To do this you need to remove the shifter knob and trim pieces. There's a channel to route wires down the left of the radio cavity and down and through the shifter area using a fish tape. Then i used a paddle bit to drill a 3/4 hole from the arm rest box to the shifter cavity. You'll have to figure out where you want to place the mic and external gps antenna, there are a few options. I routed behind the glove box and put the antenna in the back right of the dash and the antenna up into the headliner in the middle behind the mirror.
I’m doing mine today. This stick radio is a pile of junk. Since day 1 have nothing but issues. Mostly navigation and uconnect. So do it gets the new Alpine iLX-F308 aka Halo 9. It has 9” of floating screen. I’ll have a video on my channel in a couple days. Thanks for sharing this.
