You guessed it - we have even more amazing short-beaked common dolphin footage for you! Thank you very much to Jack Mylchreest for sharing this wonderful drone footage with us. Jack managed to capture this energetic pod of commons on Monday (19th June), just off the back of Marine Drive in Douglas. Seems like the common dolphins are finally living up to their name!
This is the first drone footage we have received of commons in Manx waters so it’s very exciting and gives us a bird’s eye view of the sheer agility and speed they possess in the water. Did you know that commons are one of the fastest dolphins in the world, reaching speeds of up to 35mph!
