Morning LGR. Àlthough the Plaque Rock female has always done her very impressive best as a mother on each of the 4 times she's become a mother, but sadly for her, she just hasn't had any luck at all. As difficult as it is to tell what's going through her mind, but I expect she's often asking herself why she is so unable to raise any cubs ever so very successfully like her mother, the Nkoveni female who has got a lot of very cute and energetic triplet trouble on her paws right now. Isn't she? I'm not even saying she will do, but I'd like to think that she will finally have some better luck on her 5th attempt eventually.
Let's hope that she'll soon be mating again with a large and dominant male, in a effort to get herself heavily pregnant for the fifth time in her young adulthood. It's a mystery as to what happened to her three tiny cubs she had towards the end of last year. She's often clearly desperate to become a mother and try and raise some cubs to independence and even harder adulthood. But I'm sure either the Maxims male, Flat Rock male or the Senegal Bush male will be more then happy to oblige in mating with her there very soon one day. Wouldn't they? They're large and very dominant males that all have countless females living in and wondering through their respective territories. So in the next couple of weeks or so, I hope she'll be found with a much bigger male for several days in a row mating non stop.
And if their frequent matings over a four or five day period are and will be successful, then hopefully in just over three months or one hundred and five days time, she'll give birth again to her fifth litter of cubs. But I don't think we'll ever know what the cause of the untimely loss of her cubs on each of the four occasions she has become a mother for. It's not her fault at all that she's lost them, she's been unlucky. It'll be nice to think she'll defy the odds against her this time.
Are you free to be able to give me an update on the elusive and rarely mentioned Tsalala lioness there at all please? I know she's rumoured to be very heavily pregnant with her own very first litter of cubs there now. She's been keeping her head down for a while, and she hasn't been seen in a clip there for at least a year. So I am wondering if she's possibly gone to ground to give birth to her first ever cubs at long last. It's thought her cubs are sired by the slightly bigger of the two litter mate Plains Camp males too. I'd like to think she will be able to raise them all to independence and adulthood, but it all depends on how many cubs she has and what their gender is really.
It's been roughly a month or two now since the last update on her was posted up. But I hope the next blog on her will mention her rumored pregnancy. She is a great and very special lioness who I just seem to have a uncontrollable obsession for. It's her iron will and relentless determination to survive that makes her so well admired and respected.
It will be great if she is seen with her cubs together, before the year is out. Especially as I and every other fan of her would love to see her rebuild her decimated and clinging birth pride's numbers back up a fair bit. She's got so much determination in order to live a lot longer than her late mother did successfully, that I hope in about two years time, she will still have her entire litter with her alive, playful and healthy.
And not only that, but I also hope she will be ready to mate again and have her second litter of cubs. She will be the pride's new young matriarch with a big responsibility on her paws as well. Wouldn't she? After a long time, it'll be great if she can restore the pride back to it's former glory by herself. If she's keen to live a lot longer than her late mother did, then I don't see any reason why she shouldn't raise cubs so well and highly successfully. I've yet to see her in a clip, on a hunting mission too. That will be a great thing for me to be able to see there one day.
