    I started playing this game last week. It was my first experience with a true roguelike FPS. My first 10 runs or so absolutely sucked lol. But then I realized I forgot to use all of the abilities at my disposal. The importance of marking, and then killing, enemies to regain shield points is probably most important. You can, of course, dodge most incoming fire by constantly moving, using your dash and double jump, but some sections have so many enemies it's almost inevitable you'll get hit. You really need to constantly think about enemy prioritization, using abilities at the right time, keeping an eye on ammo count and when to reload or weapon switch, picking the best implants/upgrades, etc.
    Once you get this down it's a LOT of fun!

      @ZlimBratSki  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are so correct on this! And my first few runs I struggled with this as well, at first I just thought I wasn't paying enough attention and that's why I missed the importance of it, but might be that the game doesn't tell you clearly enough if we both missed it at first :) But damn its so good once you nail it, my favorite is by far the grapple hook and the upgrading it so that a kill insta resets it

    Bought this game in a bundle with incision recently, and man is it a fun casual game! It will be played casualy like all the other rouge/bulletheaven game's but no regrets! The feeling of walking, jumping and fireing your guns is very good and heavy! Bought it after watching your stream

    I went to add this to my steam wishlist, and to my delight I see that I already bought it months ago! It was part of a Humble Bundle package when it was in early release... what a pleasant surprise!

    A Roguelite that I personally loved was Ziggurat, from a Spanish studio called Milkstone
    I know you already covered in your lists
    I really enjoyed it, it seems a little bit like the classic Heretic

    Great review. I'm one of the few, who really like roguelikes. This game looks like tremendous fun and the only fact not buying it yet is the guilt of Remnant 2, which eats a lot of time and is super addicting too. But Deadlink will find the way in my collection for sure. I had to smile Zlim, that I'm not the only one who hits an npc accidently before talking to him 😂 In some games I've got even trouble because of that. 😅 I'm excited for Deadlink and enjoyed it in your stream. Let you know when I got it 🤗

      Thank you pred 🥰 It's good that your holding off, enjoy remnant first and then jump on this one 🤜🤛
      Haha the damn button is both interact and melee 😂😂 but I feel the pain for the npcs 😂
      Can't wait to hear what you think of it once you played it 😁

    This game looked low key lit in stream. Nice to see your full review on it because I was interested , especially in the weapons!! Bullet sponge enemies can work as long as it's well balanced in other ways if that makes sense

      Yeah the bullet sponge enemies can be a bit frustrating but the more you play the more you learn to tackle their weak points and move them down faster :)

    • @ZlimBratSki
      @ZlimBratSki  ปีที่แล้ว

      I absolute agree with you on this, it's a mix that never gets old and is done better and better by the year, many are thrown off by the loss of progression when dying but if you truly understand rogue games then part of the progression is dying :)

    • @sealboy1211
      @sealboy1211 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ZlimBratSki yea I hear that sentiment from naysayers. “I don’t like losing progress.” But you don’t, you gain knowledge every run. You get better. You go farther and conquer more each time. And many modern ones incorporate power growth across various playthroughs.

      @ZlimBratSki  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For the majority I prefer a simple campaign as well. But when done right and the loop is not feeling tedious and more fun then anything I do not mind it one bit :)

    • @ZlimBratSki
      @ZlimBratSki  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Same, and for the most part the repeating the same levels over and over can feel frustrating, but when a roguelike nails it it can be so much fun like in this instance :)

    • @AndrewD8Red
      @AndrewD8Red ปีที่แล้ว

      Prey: Mooncrash did Roguelite really well.
      Everspace, too.
      And Hades.
      But I agree; the list of great Roguelite games is minute compared to the list of tedious Roguelite games.
      ...
      PS. I sort of count Soulsborne in that category.
