Hey, great video. Thanks for spotlighting the MPI LT4 lid. Beautiful car - color combo is stunning. I will admit the lid sounds noticeably quiet on your car in comparison to other customer videos we've received even just loafing around town at moderate RPM's. Every car is a little different and I'm not sure what settings you had it on, but interesting it wasn't louder. As you mention, none of them are going to sound like a hellcat, but we have some other customer cars making a much more noticeable whine. I heard you mention red valve covers....we are going to have those available for you before spring :). Thanks again for being a great customer and exceptional job on the videos!

Thank you! I love the MPI LT4 lid. I did a install video as well and gave you guys praise on workmanship and customer service. I didn’t have high hopes for a Hellcat like whine, but a little more noticeable would’ve been great! Nonetheless, I still love the product.
Yes, definitely about the red valve covers. Let me know. I love to have an opportunity to review them.

Can you put this on a Z51?

Check MPI website, but the lid replaces the LT4 factory’s supercharger lid. The valve covers make work on the LT1, though.
      Thanks for watching as well!

Really respect your class and spec.; artic white, black wheels and optional black calipers. Some of these cars - Yellow, green calipers, blue wheels, 15 different stripes and hash marks, 24" wing from a Summit catalog and I'm like WTF are these people doing?

Nice video Mopar. I ended up getting Anodized with logo from same company, but I'm almost certain my blower generates more whine.

Thank you Daniel, well that is definitely encouraging! Was the increase in whine right away after the install or did it get louder with more miles. I wouldn’t think the lid has a break-in period, but it’s strange how each one is different. I’m still happy with product, though.

Do an xpipe off road vs. plus a tune and kN intake.

Hi! I already have a Corsa x-pipe and AFE air intake system on it. I’m trying to stay within what is can be put back to stock if need be until powertrain runs out. So, no tune for now. My two previous Corvettes had a bigger cam, so probably going that route in the near future.

I have a C7Z Z07 did you have to tune? Or did you let the car just learn it??

    • @thecarpergarage916

Jay ZO6, the modifications I have done so far did not require a tune. One of the concerns for me was the CEL coming on, so far nothing. I also have a Corsa double helix x-pipe and airraid cold intake as well. No issues.
I’m pretty sure I left some horsepower on the table with a tune, but for emissions and warranty purposes I stayed within the computer parameters.
Now, I believe my powertrain warranty is expired, that is something I will consider with other modifications of course.

Yea if u put a magnuson 2650 it will whine way more then right now. Not like a hellcat but close to it!!

Awesome suggestion! It has cross my mind, but what have also crossed my mind is a cam/heads package from LMR. I don’t know which has a cooler sound, the big cam sound or the whine? Last two Corvettes have been cammed. Stay tune. Thanks for watching as well.
