It’s the original hood that came on the Scat Pack Widebody (originally the 2015-2019 Hellcat), I just wrapped it in satin black.

Powerstops, no difference than OEM. No brake dust was the best part. I’m about to swap the OEM’s on C8 ZO6 to Powerstops as well.

I had a C7 ZO6 and ZL1 1LE, the LT4 hits different. Definitely must have been from a roll, because a dig would not have happen. I miss the LT4’s, but enjoying the new platform.

@patb4691 definitely miss the rev match and the seven speed! However, wanted to give the DCT a fair chance! Yet to be determined, but so far smooth as butter. A couple of times I was looking for the clutch pedal, though.

I sold both cars for personal reasons, and now have a C8 ZO6. I’m about 300 miles away from the 500 mile break-in mark, but the difference in quality is remarkable compared to the C7 and the ZL1. I do miss the manual, so take that into consideration. Also, the C8 ZO6 definitely doesn’t sound like an LT4 or any traditional V8 for that matter. Congrats on your future purchase.

Sold both the C7 ZO6 and ZLE for C8 ZO6. I have two other car projects pending..lol!

Life happens, my father recently passed away from cancer, and having his cars are worth more to me. I planned to have kept both, but space is an issue. I can replace the ZLE and ZO6, but I can’t replace 40 years of history between father and son.

Truly, I would have, but storage and space became a real issue. Ceiling too low for a lift and 300 plus a month for storage somewhere else. I have so many memories wrapped up in the older cars, that the sentimental value took over. It was a hard choice nonetheless.

@@ronb3004 Thank you! I appreciate it. I definitely will! It was a tough decision, but an awesome feeling to sit in the seat I sat in 41 years ago as a 3 year old. The ZLE was an awesome ride and sold in one day. The C7 ZO6 sold in two days.

It did not affect the suspension. The dynamic suspension (Normal, Sport, Track) only adjust the shocks, does nothing to the springs. The big difference is you are pretty much in Sport/Track all the time due to the lowered suspension. I can’t give you long term advice, because I sold the car for an even more track focus car..ZL1 1LE.

Great write up! It is hard to let them go, because it will cost more to get them back. I’ve learned that lesson as well with my C5 ZO6 and C6 427 Convertible. Yes, I love rowing my own gears..nothing like it. 2019 is the end of the traditional layout of what a Corvette use to be. I personally like the C8, but really love the previous generations.

That was awesome. Thank you as well for educating me. I didn’t know much about the Z/28 other the LS7 motor. It definitely was a looker. Also, couldn’t tell if it came with ac or a radio. I thought about trading in the C7 ZO6 for the Z/28 to have two cool Camaros, but can’t do it.

@@thecarpergarage916 You’re welcome! Yeah some of them were specced without A/C nor a radio, I believe, and only one speaker for the door chimes. Only a little over 3,000 Z/28s were made, so they’re definitely special cars!

My dream shit 😭

It’s manageable with a tire change to PS4’s. However, if I’m being honest, I’m not sure long term if the suspension would hold up to everyday use. It truly is a track car made for track use. However, I wouldn’t tell anyone not to get it, because it is such a special car. I knew what I wanted and knew what to expect. Mine is not a daily. You can’t go wrong either way, but at the end of the day, don’t have any regrets.

@@thecarpergarage916 Well, it wouldn't be my main daily. I have a M5 for that, so I'd prob put 500 miles a month on it. To me, thats a daily. haha. I'm online shopping now for one, so we'll see what I end up with.
