Haha, Also went to Birmingham for Midsummer Madness (at 12z) and the approach end of the airport was fine cavok. But about 5nm beyond the runway was THAT THUNDERSTORM !!!!1!!one!!elevenone!!!
First time I've hit weather like that in Active Sky 2016 apparently.
Hit similar weather into Orlando for USA FNO in the Maddog, also dropped the autopilot out!
On Lets Fly Dubai to Istanbul later on Saturday, my PMDG 777 weather radar saw some more fun red/pink off towering CB up at FL380, and I requested 15nm right of track to go around it, got a bit touchy with that red colored stuff on the radar thereafter!

Matt pretty sure when you hit extreme weather like that near and airfield normal practice is to inform ATC so they can adjust approach pattern to keep people out of it or warn other flight crew beforehand.

I can honestly say this video is one of your best with much thrills and gripping edge of seat stuff with Vatsim as well. take a bow mate. thanks for sharing. Im sure real pilots encountering the same events would use some choice words too!! well done that man.

I had to laugh because the weather was very unexpected and you had to work so hard on your toos. But you managed it. Very realistic. Thanks Matt

I think the coolest thing is how they made the wing view actually sound like a cabin. I hate that most other payware aren't like that.

Matt, as the pilot in command you assume ultimate responsibility for your aircraft and the souls onboard. It is perfectly acceptable and regularly practiced to tell atc "unable" when asked to fly into a red or yellow patch on the wxr. Teamwork makes the dream work communication is everything.

Just wondering do you have to be a pro is FSX or something to be able to fly with flightsimlabs addon and land correctly. I can already do flight taxi and land with ILS and without in FSX with no addons, but I don't know if it is worth it to pay so much for this addon and don't know if I will understand anything in the game and stuff

my fsx is no my lap top and if i put to many addons on it it gets very laggy do you think if i got a gaming laptop / pc it would'nt be so laggy and have bad frame rates?

First video I've seen of you, me being a Private Pilot love FSX and X-Plane 10 I saw the intro and I immediately subscribed because this was simply awesome, and do you do full flights? By that I mean starting up APU, setting your VNAV and LNAV etc and mostly pre flight, pre taxi?

My mistake, the low speed line is orange in an Airbus.

Great video. One thing I may have missed in the stream is why the autopilot won't connect at all later on. I can understand why it gave up on the initial divebomb, but you had it pretty stable at times after that.

Those fps are amazing! I had that weather on Sunday and my fps dropped to 2.7! I had to put it on fair weather! so frustrating! btw, thank you for controlling London centre yesterday- is was pia791 and it was great fun in my craptain sim 777!
