Yeah the levels might have not aged the best but most of them weren't bad for the times they were made in tbh, especially Syobon Action coming out in the first week of 2.0, as well as his 2.1 levels (which I think are his best and I think should've been rated). Also, I've completed most of his levels and I can say that the memory ones (Syobon Action series and MANRAY) were actually pretty fun! Maybe we just have different "tastes" in levels I guess. Anyways, the video was pretty fun to watch, even if I don't agree with many of your opinions.
to be fair, this wasn't supposed to be a deep analysis. i actually tried to beat MANRAY but it was just too frustrating, just really dislike memory. it's definitely a taste thing. and also you get really tired of sweetdude after doing nothing but play his levels for a month
tbf they were probably made when he was younger so it's mostly robtop to blame for them being rated. it wouldn't be as funny if they were unrated and unpopular, but the fact that they are makes them ironic pieces of art
@@Numptaloid super mario world, i even worked on one with him. don't expect to just jump in and beat it though, they are kaizo romhacks which require extensive knowledge and skill of super mario world to beat. they are really cool though, he has been working on another one for like 3 years now

syobon action is this older than mankind flash game series that entirely revolves around being super mario but you get trolled epic style the 3 levels sweetdude made about them are literally just a more or less exact remake with all of the death spots being the ones that occur in the real games nice video btw

as someone who has beated every single rated sweetdude level legitimately, i will say that yes his early stuff is copy and pasted trash, phazd is decent as you mentioned, but i dont think that any of his 2.0 and 2.1 levels deserve trashing, there acualy realy good, they are shokingly consistent and fun for the most part, they have realy uniqe deco witch looks extremely dated and funny nowdays but for its time it was realy good, melody, manray and syobon action all belong to some of the best levels of all time that ive played, ik you dont like memory but trashing levels for being memory and then nocliping your showcases just makes you look like you only watched them and didnt acualy try playing them, still cool vid tho
I do see quite a few MANRAY fans out there. I don’t understand it, but I’m a huge boomer who doesn’t enjoy anything besides mother energy. I’m glad MANRAY has supporters.
Honestly, Manray isn't that bad. Yes, the deco is bad, but the GP is IMO unique. I kind of find it fun (except for both cube parts) I'll honestly rate it a 5/10
Bruh sweetdude levels look like you took the worst featured level, smashed it with a bat, lit it on fire, threw it in front of a train, spat on it, and only THEN it is almost as bad as a sweetdude level
