    First time I've ever seen the top heavy roll incorporated into the setup and takedown. Once an annoyance now a clever solution!

      I really hope it helps! It is a tough problem to solve as I don't want to add any bottom weight and make the product any heavier. Perhaps some complete overhaul on the design as the business grows but for now I hope that this is a useful solution to the problem :) Thanks for the comment

      Thank you so so much for supporting local! Please note that you got the V.2 which is slightly different than the V.1 shown in the video. The main thing is just that the sleeping pad pocket is bigger and open on both ends so when you roll it up, it doesn't matter which end you start at :) I am so very thankful for your support and I would love to hear what you think of your Hawk Nest! And if you love it I offer $20 for a little video testimonial and $20 for referrals too, just so you know ;) Thanks again my friend, I am always available to chat!

    I am super excited for mine, just ordered it today. Love that it’s made in our great country. Also you have it at an affordable price for someone trying to set up a decent kit for some remote trips. Love this guide on setup makes me feel quite confident in set up. Can’t wait for mine to show up ! -Ryan C

    Will likely play this a time or two as i set up but it's a great video, well paced and clearly explained. Thanks. 'Snack pack to go' for the critters in my woods here when i sleep out! Looking forward to testing in the rain. This tent will be with me in my Westy as I wander!

    Our hammock arrived today and we set it up the second we were done supper, lol It's fabulous! This video was super helpful. The kids and I, despite themselves, had it set up in less than 10 minutes.....easy-peasy. Could have done it in 5 myself. 😂 An excellent product that's thoughtfully designed and well made.

    I'm going to have try and remember your method of packing. This is my third Hammock in genral. The other 2 have an attached stuff sack that doubles as a storage pouch. The method in the video not only helps ro keep it clean and prevents snagging the bug screen on a twig or thorns. But also looks to be quicker than laying it down and packing like you would a tent. Could also work to keep the inside of the hammock tent dry when setting up in the rain. As a suggestion IF one NEEDS to use it as a tent. I would reccomend a Footprint of some sort in future versions. Maybe something in an underside pouch closed with Velcro or zipper.
    In another comment you mentioned hoping fo a future partnership with Scouting. As a Scouter myself. I also would be interested in that. Our Scouting Group has an All Sections Camp coming up in Nov. Would it be OK if I did a Video review(un boxing of sorts)? It would be posted on the Troop's TH-cam Channel(amd shared to the Troop's private Facebook Group and Group's Facebook Page. I would also ensure proper credit is given during the video AND in the Description complete with links to your TH-cam channel and website.

      @HawkNestHammocks  26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You are correct! As I mention on my about us page on my website the design is nearly identical to the Nigh Cat. I do not try to hide that :) I used one myself and loved it but thought it could be better and more importantly Canadian! They dont actually own the rights to the design so I did my legal due diligence and launched my Canadian version with my first batch of changes! I though it would be a great place to start. I already have plans for a V.2, V.3 and V.4 design! Always trying to improve and upgrade the design :)

    Hi.. Is the sleeping pad (underneat pouch) for confort, or to make it warmer in colder temperatures?

    • @HawkNestHammocks
      @HawkNestHammocks  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The main purpose is for warmth! Which I guess would also be comfort haha but the sleeping pad will not make the sleep "more cushy" as it is on the underside of the hammock which is so that it will not get compressed THUS maintaining maximum insulating value :)

  • @Tanrock-de2rg
    @Tanrock-de2rg หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I ordered mine today. I also have a Nemo Tensor™ Extreme Conditions Ultralight Insulated Sleeping Pad. The dimensions are 193 cm (76”) L x 64 cm (25”) W. Will this fit?

    • @HawkNestHammocks
      @HawkNestHammocks  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you so much for supporting local! The sleeping pad pocket is 25" x 75" so it may be tight and you may need to leave the end sticking out. How thick is it? Again, thanks for the order and if you run int any issues please let me know and I will make sure you are taken care of!

    • @Tanrock-de2rg
      @Tanrock-de2rg หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      3.5”. If it doesn’t fit, I’ll get another, and keep this for my tent. What dimensions do you recommend? Thank you!

    • @HawkNestHammocks
      @HawkNestHammocks  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Tanrock-de2rg Well I will start by saying I have a V.2 version coming in October that will have a much large sleeping pad pocket which your current pad would fit fine in! But for this first version I would suggest something around 24" wide and not over 2". This one on amazon is usually what I suggest but there are a lot of other options! www.amazon.ca/POWERLIX-Sleeping-Pad-Backpacking-Lightweight/dp/B00CBOFS8M/

    Did the video I sent you via email show up? Shows the bottom pocket is open both ends and no flap to hold pad in. 😢. Not sure if your email settings are allowing video to go through. 2481.

    Is the sleeping pad purely for cooler weather insulation?

    • @HawkNestHammocks
      @HawkNestHammocks  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Precisely! It wont add any other comfort to the hammock other than maybe some extra structure depending on your pad! But some extra warmth for your back without having to pack a bulky under quilt (though I am looking into offering one for extreme cold climates)

      @@dougewatson Oh you lead some Scouts? Amazing, I was one myself back in the day! I would love to potentially work towards some partnership one day with Scouts Canada.
