Basic distillation set ups for chemistry have been around for literal millenia. Since the ancient romans in 1AD. So this has probably always been the way since lemon grass oil was first discovered. And only has increased in scale over the years since its first discovery.

Rotovacs are kinda expensive.... You can probably get away with just single distillation for personal use, or if you wanted you can actually just distill twice in the same apparatus. You don't really need a chemistry degree, you can learn how to do this with some good instructional videos. I probably learned more from YT than my five years getting a chemistry degree. XD Though I have wanted a rotovac for cooking because it would be great for condensing sauces.

Cant wait for someone to speed this up, and call it Lemongrass Oil lore.
Chlorine free deionised water is essential, removing plastic tags that keep the lemongrass bundled - not so much.
maybe because the tags arent gonna vaporise unlike the chlorine
the oil is inside the grass and not affected by some plastic tag
The plastic estrogenic compounds will leach into the oil… no bueno
I got lemon grass in my yard. It has a pleasant smell to it plus the bottom end is used as a flavor.
its used in many asian soups
I brew it as a hot beverage. Incredible flavor
We include it in making soup dish
Lemon grass can make your dish so much better

May I know which supplier can provide the equipment to produce the oil as same as in this video??
In india we use lemon grass while making tea ☕
No you don't
We use it in Jamaica to reduce fevers - it’s also called “Fever Grass” for that reason.
Wow great!
Lemongrass oil is very relaxing.
Why don't they chop the lemongrass to get more oil out of it?🤔
Probably less time consuming amd easier to clean so more productive
Plus they need space for steam which chopping lemongrass would not provide. They had put lemongrass in criss cross fashion to let steam pass
Nice job, Lots of work
thanks, it's true!
Omg all i know helpful on soup
