I only knew the Telly Savalas version as a kid of the 70's - He talks it from what sounds like an empty Albert Hall, like some kind of serial killer. It is truly awful, but I love it as it makes my wife react in the same way as when I play 7 tears by the Goombay dance band, with abject horror !
