- WELCOME TO DIDADDUNGAN WHITE BEACH, possibly the cleanest, whitest sand, and bluest water I've ever seen in my life.
And it was a crazy adventure to reach this place backed by the Sierra Madre in Palanan, Isabela!
First we travel to another beach (Dipaguiden) by pumpboat, taking in the beauty of this remote coastline. Then the next day it's time for a mad tricycle mission involving three river crossings, one by tiny boat!
We end with a flight back to Cauayan on the "mainland" in a slightly bigger plane of Cyclone Airways. What an adventure this has been!

@4:36, these are the indigenous people of the Philippines even before the Malays, Chinese, Spanish, and Americans came. These people here are like to the native American Indians in America. The life in this place is simply beautiful and peaceful seldom captured on camera. Really once in a lifetime experience for Kumander Daot. To be frankly honest, this is the way to discover and enjoy life in the Philippines especially for foreigners like Kumander Daot.
I think the Dumagets ancestors set sail from Africa centuries ago and settled in the Philippines.
I am awed. Indeed there are still lots of places to explore in the Philippines.. I am somewhat jealous.. I am a Filipino. Never been to those beautiful white beaches.. Take care KD as you bring us to those places..

Such a beautiful unspoilt landscape, let's hope that the bigger roads and bridges don't ruin it's defence against the tides of change and allow its beauty to be damaged and exploited by 'progress'. Incidentally when KD remarked how funny it was that they spoke of the land on the other side of the mountains as an island, it reminded me that the largest of the Shetland Islands in Scotland is called simply 'the Mainland'.

Yes, I remember my father's story who served in the Philippine Army Special Forces and was once assigned there. It was about the ship MV Karagatan which tried to land firearms that was supplied by the Chinese Communist Party and was meant for the NPA. Victor Corpuz's group was supposed to receive the shipment but they and the shipment of cache of firearms were intercepted at Digoyo Point by the Philippine government forces.

I was so surprised to see that the Dumagat look more like the inhabitants of Papua, New Guinea than like most of the Filipinos that I have seen. So fascinating to see that they live very much as they always have, too.
Great insight. Historians said that the early settlers in the Philippines are sea faring people from neigboring territories (or countries as now we call it). Guam is one of them. Papaua New Guinea is also a possibility considering the similarity of their looks and body built.
KD is never afraid because he is fearless and he is more interested in exploring these less traveled places !!!
