Great explanation. Thank you
Very very detailed analysis of choosing resisters with transistors. Appreciate your efforts Sir. Thank you.
You helped me to clarify my thoughts, thank you.
Glad it helped. Sometimes a simple circuit like this can help to clarify the larger theory of transistors...it's a good "reminder" circuit when you get a bit rusty on this stuff.
phystv I'm still a newbie in this and I'm trying to piece all this all together to help me in something I want to make. However I want to know all the components inside out before use them. I agree, however, in time people forget things and so simple explanations are useful to fill in the holes.

Thank you!
Cowboy simple illustration and description.

Very nice sir
Very well explained thankyou so much
very good exactly what I needed! Thanks!
great! Glad it helped...

Been finding this answer for a long time.
thank you bro.
Really nice explanation. One thing i'm missing: How much base current is needed that the transistor is fully conductive ? If i think about the base resistor a higher value is better because you save power (yes, it is small). If a device is turned on constantly then this might matter.
you finally got it to click for me thanks
very helpful
Thank you
I need help What restistor should I use for the gate on a z44n mosfet for a variable voltage regulator at 50v 40amps
great... thanks lot...
Thanks sir
Low voice frequency really suitable for teaching xD
hi..is it compulsory to put resistor at the base for the transistor to function?..how about if not put resistor?
The transistor will burn if you dony use a resistor or a load to trigger
But say you had 200 mA in the base, would that not mean up to 20,000 mA given a gain of say 100??????

The video was very informative, but I struggle with conversions a lot...wouldn’t 8.4/100=0.084 or 840 mA? I’m not trying to be that guy that corrects every little thing. I really am that bad at conversions and really new to this field of study
Lol! Nope I new it. I was wrong lol!!
Don't blame yourself for hearing correctly mate. He did actually say "point zero zero eight four" which got my brain confused for a second. But he just said the wrong number, but did the calc right.
9:08 Second resistor is where?????? How many emitters does your transistor have?
you talk a lot and say very little
great... thanks lot...
