    8:51 Many of the Rebel solders were forced by the lack of rations and hunger to eat peanuts out of the fields, They eat so many that they grew sick and tired of them. That's how the song Eating Goober Peas came about. Glad to see a historian like the Chigg carrying on the tradition. Later on in the evening you might do a Rebel Yell followed by the Rebel Runs. lol.

    Hay Chigg you should get in touch with Stoney Ridge farmer he has a TH-cam channel building a first generation farm in North Carolina and has cleared a lot of land that use to be an old tobacco farm or plantation he’s been digging up stuff that might have been a burned house or old dump of some kind I don’t think the areas he has cleared have ever been detected so it’s your chance to get into some good areas to detect!

    I could feel your pain when you were in the briars!
    I was cutting some cedar trees this weekend and got into the briars myself, and a lot of blood was shed!
    Making another comment regarding the "trash pile" you were looking through.
    I am AMAZED at the laziness of people that can carry a FULL HEAVY BOTTLE of soda or water out into the field and yet CANNOT carry that EMPTY AND LIGHTWEIGHT bottle or can back out with them.
    The fact that these were "designated trash" sites does not hold water with me either (no pun intended), as this is simply a lack of respect for the landowner.
    Is it any wonder that landowners turn down permission for metal detecting, hunting, etc.?
    Rant over.

    • @johnramirez5032
      @johnramirez5032 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have that happen on 24k gold detector. Found out it needs the ground to have some balance. I found out mine goes nuts when the sensitivity high. Just turn it off and it will reset. Or try a less sensitive setting when your looking for target in hole. One other option is to ha e coil lay flat.

    • @jvleasure
      @jvleasure 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@johnramirez5032 i ground balanced, held power to reset, switched frequencies, adjusted sensitivity, pulled the batteries. Best it would do is act right then go nuts when it detected any signal at all. Took it home, acts fine. And I've detected that place before.

    Our society is so wasteful. People should recycle all metal items and all recyclable plastic and paper items. Just think of that huge decrease in the amount of landfill space we would need. Aluminum and other metals are at an all-time high. Recycle the stuff. Don’t send it to a landfill. And drinking out of those cheap plastic bottles is bad for you, even if it’s not a BPA plastic.
