Bioreactors recap: sensors, modelling, scale up and alternative reactor design

In this ~7.5 min video, I will recap important concepts in bioreactors such as sensors, modelling, scale up (and scale out) and why there is a need for alternative reactor designs. I will briefly go over the airlift reactor and discuss challenges and opportunities associated with scale up.

Just a quick question: I believe both Power per volume and KLa won't be similar at scale up. How do take the next step plz?

kLa is hard to measure but is possible (see other videos). You might want to employ some empirical formula to determine kLa; common equations often depend on vs and Pg/V, thus why Pg/V is often considered to be similar to kLa. Hope this helps
